Still mystifies me that Demichelis gets minutes for City.
If not for Fernandinho being hurt, he wouldn't be getting minutes.
What happened to the so called depth?
direct that to DSCH and co, who keeps arguing city have a deeper squad than Arsenal
Excellent piz. Good to see you standing up for the Arsenal second team players. You and me, 100% Gooner, mate! The point I've been making was that based on Squad strength and depth, Arsenal should be ahead of city by at least 6 points and pellegrini has actually done well to get city in this position.

This half shows how one really shitty player can upset the balance of a team. DiMichalis is a horror show in midfield. He's literally running around with zero clue of what he's doing. Poor spacing when trying to make himself available to pass and absolutely lost tracking back whenever Chelsea are in possession.

At the risk of sounding like one of the Mourinho-ites around here, I like his approach. I'm sure that City, along with most of the planet, felt that Jose's line-up was out to replicate Fat Sam's success against Chelsea the previous week. Instead, players like Luis were chasing opponents all the way up the pitch and winning possession constantly.
Mourinho is a myth, jokes aside I think it's safely to say pellegrini has been out-tacticed by Jose, I have no clue what he sees in Demicheles. It's like playing with 10 men. In Pellegrini's defense, most of us, likely you and I included, saw 90 minutes of tedious break down the bus action. Chelsea's high line and hard pressing approach caught all of us out.

They have comparable depth at fullback, are shorter at CB and in the center of midfield than Arsenal, comparable in the wide areas of midfield and attack, and well ahead of us in the forward positions. You, I believe, were insisting Arsenal is much deeper than City. It's a pretty close call.

I think if Nasri was available, then Toure would be the deepest midfielder and DiMichalis would be pulling splinters out his ass on the bench.
