The Potters beat Manchester United for the first time since Boxing Day 1984! All sorts of teams are creating History by winning against this Man U team. LOL Edited by KamyFC, Feb 1 2014, 12:00 PM.

I was prepared to give Moyes a chance to figure him out, now I have figured him out and I hope a United keep him for as long as possible. I still think United have a problem with their old fashion style of play and the players they have all fit into that mold. Moyes is kind of stuck in the middle, he doesn't know how to use these players and he doesn't have his own philosophy. I listened to Gary Nevelle talk about how Mata doesn't necessarily fit into United philosophy and I thought he was crazy yet when you watched him today, he looked lost. When you look at Arsenal and Man City, they have a lot of players similar to Mata that interchange and create stuff and get amongst the goals. I think United need a manager that has an idea how he wants to play and is bold enough to evolve United, out with the old (including Moyes), in with the new. |

At this point, I'm hoping they give Moyes ALL the time he needs! Being serious, though, this is one of the pitfalls of hiring these conservative managers that got more than the sum of their parts at previous clubs. They don't seem to know what to do when they have actual talent. We saw the same thing with Martin O'Neill. In contrast, look at guys like Roberto Martinez or Brendan Rodgers. They played an attacking (to be fair, some might call naive when they're at lower level clubs) style while also proving to be adaptable. |
