It just goes to show that questions about City never relinquishing top spot have been silly. They might get back on top tomorrow but that wouldn't necessarily be a bad result for us as we currently sit 5 points ahead of Chelsea. Linesmen, the spotlight is on you tomorrow...

Intelligent, professional performance today. We knew Palace's plan for the match and stuck to our own. Time was, we'd have gotten jittery and impatient and perhaps stuttered to a draw, but these are not those guys.

Great save from Woj at 1-0 was just as important as Ox's contributions, and I thought Giroud and Cazorla were terrific. Ozil his usual low key, efficient self, and the combination of Mert & Kos remain undefeated. So glad we kept Rosicky when I wanted to sell him two years ago!

Have to hand it to Palace's fans for their attitude and enthusiasm throughout, but I find few things as satisfying as seeing Pulis looking bereft on the touchline.

Top of the table. Life is good.

Whatever Giroud's weaknesses, the assist on the second goal defines some of his strengths.
