It just goes to show that questions about City never relinquishing top spot have been silly. They might get back on top tomorrow but that wouldn't necessarily be a bad result for us as we currently sit 5 points ahead of Chelsea. Linesmen, the spotlight is on you tomorrow...
I would rather be ahead of City by 2 points than be behind them by 1 point.
Bcos they seem to be hammering all the teams with that attacking lineup. We cannot compete against their goal difference. So i would prefer the 2 point cushion and thus prefer a Chel$kie win.

The Post-match Report:

Far greater movement off the ball finally broke Palace down. Good awareness by The Ox on the first goal, not to mention a decent finish.

Though most of the Arsenal attack came from the left today, Sagna with antoher strong perfomance in defense along with Kos and Mert up the middle. Monreal had a few weak moments and may have allowed Gibbs a route back into the starting eleven.

Though both goals were great to watch, there was a ball that The Ox hit to Podolski in the 59th minute that resulted in a corner kick that showed that he possesses a combination of vision and technique that should make him a very special player down the road.

One more nail in the coffin of Pulos who will certainly never manage in the top flight after this last stop. Malignant tumor soon to be removed.

Intelligent, professional performance today. We knew Palace's plan for the match and stuck to our own. Time was, we'd have gotten jittery and impatient and perhaps stuttered to a draw, but these are not those guys.

Great save from Woj at 1-0 was just as important as Ox's contributions, and I thought Giroud and Cazorla were terrific. Ozil his usual low key, efficient self, and the combination of Mert & Kos remain undefeated. So glad we kept Rosicky when I wanted to sell him two years ago!

Have to hand it to Palace's fans for their attitude and enthusiasm throughout, but I find few things as satisfying as seeing Pulis looking bereft on the touchline.

Top of the table. Life is good.
Whatever Giroud's weaknesses, the assist on the second goal defines some of his strengths.
I was actually admiring Giroud's play before he set up Oxlade-Chamberlain's second. He was working hard, doing his best with defenders hammering him and making smart runs off the ball all day long. His skillset is somewhat limited, but few players get as much out of themselves as he does.

Some one or the other is stepping up. Thatz a good sign.

But will OX retain his place once we have Flamini and Jack back?

What was a bit frustrating with Olivier on a few occasions was his ability to make a sweet turn on a defender and then look like his feet were caught up in a sand pile on the next move. His willingness and ability to come to the outside in the second half helped to create space for others.

In China, it's the Year of the Horse, but in England, it could be the Year of The Ox. I think that Wenger is more than ready to turn arguably his finest bundle of talents loose on the world.

Exactly. His combination of below average speed and inconsistent touch would mean a career in the Championship for many players, yet he finds a way to make significant contributions to a team challenging for the title.
