They've been struggling for a while now, and his latest decisions in the transfer market haven't gone well, but can Swansea really do better than Laudrup? |

Another casualty of expectations inflated by early success following promotion. Michu's extended absence, and the pressure of having to compete in the Europa league certainly can't have helped. Swansea will find firing the manager was not the cure. Still, it shouldn't take Laudrup long to find a home. |

Bad, rushed and regressive decision by Swansea. A good guy out of his job. If they can do better than him with an appointment (big IF), they are sure to have a transitional stage where they stand still at best. |

Very bad timing in my opinion. The manager brought the first piece of silverware , wasn't given much money to strengthen. At least from what I read. Made Swansea play suffocating possession football. Naive yeah maybe, it reminded me of the Arsenal of old when Cesc was still around and we got a Trio clown act of Kolo, Silves, Gutless . And a DM who thinks he is on Song to become a top quality AM. Ladrup is too big a name for Swans . He has to be kept happy , but he wasn't . He is destined for something bigger. To fail to make things work between Swansea and Landrup , it's Swansea's loss. If Swansea goes down. Maybe its time for Wenger to do another raid , Wenger and the transfer team are right at home doing this kind of work. If in doubt , ask Malaga. Who would you guys take to the Emirates ? |

was thinking bout him to. i like him but question is could he step up gunner style. michu is another consideration. both may b deemed lite weight though. aint seen enuf fire or consistency in either player to make me say yes. i could b wrong though as i aint avid watcher of swansea games. |

They sacked him because they felt the constant speculation over his future was hurting their results. Swansea are only a couple points beyond the drop now, and if they felt Laudrup was gonna leave for greener pastures after this season anyway then it seems a more straightforward move. Be interesting to see where he lands. |

Agreed. He was gonna leave anyway. Swansea was a stepping stone. They played tremendous football under him. |
