MOTM? Right. Anyone have him prior to the match? Besides the goals, fine overall performance.
It may be that at this point in their careers Flarteta function better as a pair than individually, both covering for each other in front of the back 4, I don't think either of them can handle that position by themselves when paired with Cazorla (especially) or Ramsey (maybe slightly less so), but together they were pretty effective shielding the back, distributing and disrupting and Flam even managed to score on two of his very few forays forward...
Some of the athleticism that was lost with Le Coq not out there was made up for with pace and determination from the likes of Ramsey, Campbell and The Ox. Pretty apparent to note today that there is no direct replacement for Le Coq currently in the squad. The best we could is replace him with a aging pair.... Hard to believe anyone if they had told you last year at this time that Arsenal's most important player would be Francis Coquelin..

Good thing we bought backup/competition this summer... Of all the summer business that got done outside the doors of the Arsenal, the piece I'm most envious of is Schweinsteiger, for what he brings and for what Arsenal needs he would have absolutely perfect, and not terribly expensive if we are to believe the current rumors... Shame, really.

The thing i like about flamini is that he likes to get in the box even though he is a defensive player. He was like that even before he went to Milan. Scored a couple of goals just like what we saw today. You can't get that with Arteta and Coq. Based on what we saw today I really hope to see Coq, Flamini and Santi in the middle. I feel its a balanced combination or Coq, Ramsey and Santi. Ramsey is out of form and he really needs to find his form in the middle. I like what I saw today with the wingers. Ox and Joel brings more determination in our game. Not very technical but i feel its neat. We need Welbeck to be back. He offers grit and determination upfront. Theo looks jaded playing as CF and Giroud is just boring to watch.

Ox has had a poor game.
Huh? I thought he has looked bright and active, his shooting hasn't been super accurate, but it was his willingness to make space and drive a ball at goal that led to the opener. exactly lol, I don't know what games some people watch when Ox plays we are always a dangerous team...

Oddly enough Ox is a lot worse at the things you slate Alexis for, yet we don't hear you criticize him. I agree that we look a dangerous team with the Ox in the lineup, but too often this season that danger has been for us rather than our opponents. Let's hope he can sort out his mistakes and carelessness in possession because he should be a nailed-on starter.

The only difference is that Ox turnovers tend to cost us and that is Wenger's fault because this usually happens when Ox is played deep. Good old Stubborn Wenger still deluded that Ox future lies in central midfield. As a winger he's has dangerous to the opposition as you'll get in the EPL.

Shame, really. You know how much Schweini is making? 275000 GBP per week at United. We either can't or won't compete for that kind of money.
