Don't get me wrong - no excuse for player selection and absolutely too loyal to his players - but how can the manager be blamed for the second goal? Ospina is a world class keeper. That is just freaky.
But the let downs after goals...no leadership...
Ospina a world class keeper?? L-O-FCKIN-L And first of all Wenger is the one that selects Ospina hence he'll take the blame for any fuck up, he know fully well that Ospina is capable of this brainfarts Secondly no one is blaming Wenger for the second goal they are blaming him for the DEFEAT. You really need to stick to drawing cartoons or is it 'Arts' you call it?
And, as has been pointed out by others, you need to get a girlfriend.
hahahaha typical reply when he has his arse handed out to him, I'll go after that french rapper Wenger is banging right after you get yourself a boyfriend!
BOOOM !!
Look at that! Bringing Bill and Pizzy back together as they celebrate their mutual lack of anything resembling wit. Makes life worth living. Happy to bring some joy to what is otherwise a clearly miserable existence .

Much as I would to just laugh at Arsenal the fact is this malaise goes well beyond the Emirates. So far Orem teams have lost 5 out of 6 games in which all were strong favourites to win . Is the Orem that hard that it's making it so difficult to get up for these midweek games or is the Premiership simply lagging way behind other countries tactically
Baring a miracle, the EPL is going to lose a CL spot.
Italy isn't doing well either only 2 teams made it to the group stage and I think only Juve will make it to the round of 16. I still fancy 3 EPL teams making it into the round of 16. Yes, but UEFA Europa League results count too. Last year Italy had two teams in the semi-finals of the Europa league.

If Wenger had any sense of what's best for the club, he'd put in his resignation for the end of the season. That would give the club plenty of time to find a replacement (while beating the manager rush that will happen in the spring) as well as give the players the motivation to 'win one for the gaffer'.
What if we win the league because we don't have any European fixtures in the spring?
HAHAHAHA! Oh...you were serious. Sorry. Well then Wenger gets to ride off into the sunset. Just like he should've done after either of the two FA Cups.
It's a hypothetical. No reason to be a dick about it. Anyways, as usual, I'll wait until the cake is fully baked before evaluating the taste. My being a dick aside, what do you really think the chances are of Wenger actually winning it? We only added Cech to a side that clearly wasn't good enough last season. I don't buy into the whole 'another year of seasoning for our players' bs on why we will improve. We just aren't consistent enough and can't avoid the inexplicable losses to be a championship team. We're lucky Chel$ea is suffering such a hard hangover and that $ity has come back to earth a bit (or basically that none of the heavyweights are playing like it right now), but we can't count on it being that way for the season.

The league title is always, at least for me, the most important prize, as it offers us the most accurate assessment of a club's strength. If after stumbling in Europe, the Gunners were to go on and win the EPL, I would be way too happy to consider firing the manager.
My fear is the very real possibility of Thursday night football getting in the way, though.
Yup. If we end up in the Europa league send the second string only. Why? That's our chance of a trophy that's a step up from the FA Cup and guarantees CL play (though I doubt we fall out of the top 4 anyway). Plus, we're letting the league down when coefficient points are becoming more crucial.

DSCH makes his point dramatically, but when it comes to squad allocation, a match v Bournmouth gets all the best players over anything that takes place on Thursday night.

Neither is a guarantee of a trophy, though. We have the squad to compete on both fronts (or, at least should...). I know you're on record as saying the Europa League doesn't matter to you, but it's still a trophy. I'd rather we won that one than another FA Cup, tbh.

I don't see how playing against a strong side on a Wednesday night before a Saturday fixture is any more taxing on a squad than playing a slightly lesser team on a Thursday before a Sunday fixture in terms of harming the Premiership chances

I can see the argument that there may be more travel involved, depending on the fixture. And there's an extra knockout round, but otherwise, it's the same. Unless, of course, the argument is fixture congestion after the beginning of March...something we haven't had because of Europe in six seasons!

At this point, who has looked better this season in the league then last season? Manchester United is about it, and they don't look unbeatable.
