You know Shirley, at the time of making the bet with you, it seemed quite reasonable, and it was entered into in the proper spirit of mutual competitive respect. Each of us was honorably backing our side.

Now you act like arse in attempting to demean me for making the wager. Silly and and a jerk. Keep reaching - maybe you'll find something up there soon.
"at the time it seemed quite reasonable"...so you are admitting that it was a stupid bet on your part knowing that your club won't compete for the title while mine will...
Nice try at the twist, but the bet is still a reasonable one, though having a few points in hand makes you the favorite at this juncture.

You're a silly fella.
I'm silly? You seem to think that your club is ambitious and proof of that is that the bookies made them one of the favourites this year. How fucked is that lol.

Anyway Sadler is right - we have been asking these same questions or discussing the same points in the other threads over many years.

Continuing to repeat your utter misunderstanding of my point doesn't exactly make you look smarter. My thesis would put forth that sadler is a silly man engaging ridiculous speculation devoid of facts. My reference to oddsmakers only relates to expectations during the days of austerity. As I have also used the opinions of those same professional pundits and bookies to hold Wenger and the club to the fire, I have been reasonable and consistent, in fact, downright intelligent when compared to your simplistic drivel.

Now unless you have a different approach, kindly fook off with you dumb ass speculation about my club's ambitions on my club's message board, Shirley.

My, my, my, look who's here. Care to explain how sadler is right? He can explain to you why I constantly refer to him with either of those terms of endearment.

I have said this before. Nobody here knows what the fiduciary priorities of Arsenal football club are.... Marcotta asks a question, but that doesn't allow people who have been frankly wrong about Wenger year, on year on year since the days of the old message board to be the ones to moronically supply the answer and vindicate the many and frequent incorrect statements they have made.

For me someone said it, Kroenke is the controlling interest in the club. His strategy is to amass a high cash flow, raise share price, increase the value of the club and sell. The sitting shareholders who sold out to Kroenke all kept some shares in the club, (and this has been speculated upon before) - they sold the controlling interest with conditions about first amassing a cash flow and then clearing the substantial debts. That would be a business decision, pure and simple. The value of their personal assets has doubled in five years and quadrupled in nine.

We are talking about ambition here. Not whether or not you have a good team. The odd makers gave you a good shot because you have a good team and finished strong last year. It has absolutely nothing to do with how ambitious your team is. As I stated last year (and every year before that) you guys are great when the pressure is off and there's nothing to play for. I'm sure you will start winning all your games this year once the title is out of reach. That's just what your team does. But that does NOT make you an ambitious club. If you were ambitious you would have spent some of that 200m that you have sitting in the bank to improve your team. Instead you just bought a keeper. That's it. No ambition. But your manager and board of directors fools people like you into thinking that "this is our year". Some of you guys are even more delusional than Liverpool fans. As long as people like you continue to support Arsenal and the way the club is run, you will never win a title unless there is some fluke where all the other contenders totally shit the bed and you take it with 78 points. But I don't see that happening anytime soon...

In other words you are finally admitting that profits are more important to your club than silverware. Nice to see you're finally on board and admitting that now...

Piz, you set me a low bar there, so low I'm almost going to trip over it for laughing.

How about ANY post written by you with the name Wenger typed in it.
