"When I left Dortmund, my last sentence was: 'It is not so important what people think when you come in, it is much more important what they think what you leave,'" he said. "History is only the base for us. You cannot carry it in your backpack every day."

How can anyone not like this guy - Jurgen Klopp!
Where were they in the league when he left?
a better question will be how many league titles has Wenger won in the last 5 years and how many has Klopp won, can't wait for that answer LOL.

Dortmund was a fun team to watch under Klopp and one of only a few to be able to stand up against Bayern Munich for any length of time. They were also sharp in the CL. Bayern's most effective response - which hurt Dortmund's chances in both competitions - was to buy Dortmund's best players. With that in mind, I think it's fair to "adjust" for Klopp's less successful final campaign.
This is a really good appointment for Liverpool and explains the timing of Rodgers' sacking. Smart of Klopp though, to manage expectations and to make it a four year "deal": "If I am sitting here in four years, we will win one title [piece of silverware] in this time."

Liverpool was a fun team to watch and had their best league run in 20 years...with Suarez.
"Adjustment" is a really nice way to put Dortmund's fall...particularly in a one-team league.
