I've been wrong about Cech. Now I didn't think he was a bad keeper, however, he clearly has been the best after the first game of the season. Translation
He was shit because he was a Chelsea player but now he's great because he's an Arsenal player

Santry rated Szczesny higher than Cech iirc so I think your interpretation is off. If you're winding him up though then I'll let you be.
Here's a quote I found on the Petr Cech thread:-
- Santry
-
About Cech, yes experienced.... Is he better than Chester or Ospina. If he is its not very much better. is he more of a Mark Swartzer than an Edwin van der Sar?
I think Santry's comment on this thread is as honest assessment that you can get.

I think Santry's comment on this thread is as honest assessment that you can get. But of both . His assessment of Cech the Chelsea keeper was tainted . He was every bit as good ,if not better, for Chelsea than he has been for Arsenal but had a less malicious poster said what he said I would have left it alone 👍

Cech has indeed been great bar day 1. His save against Benteke's tap in has been the highlight so far for me.

Cech was immense against Man Yoo.
He snuffed out all the dangerous-looking crosses (not to mention the saves from Martial and Rooney) to provide the defence with a re-assuring poise, and organization.
He demoralised the Mancs attack, and ripped the fight out of them in a major way.

I think Santry's comment on this thread is as honest assessment that you can get. I didn't initially say Chester was better, just for clarity sake. I was admitting I was wrong about that. Now it appears that Cech is very much still at the top of his game, like he was at Chelsea.

LMAO I remember when we had this thread by Cruyff "Szescny has been the best in the league". Cech has had little to do perhaps even less than he had to deal with at Chelsea, the few times he has been called upon he's fumbled on occassions, now I'm not saying he is a bad GK, but to say he's the best so far in the league is ridiculous, I haven't checked the stats but I'm pretty sure Begovic has made more big saves this season, even the injured Courtois who haven't played much may have made just as many saves as Cech.
And you'll have to show me the Schweinsteiger big chance, take off that rose tinted glasses Cruyff?
Yeah, at the time, he had been. And I'm not sure what my allegiances have to do with an objective stat created by Opta.
It's not a big chance and you know it, I tell you what find me a goal scored from similar position, distance and speed without a deflection that was not referred to as a GK gaffe by commentators or pundits...
Seriously? If his first touch doesn't let him down he's got a great chance to score. Thousands of goals have been scored at that angle over the years. Not at all difficult to side-foot to the far post from there if your body shape is right. so you are saying his first touch let him down, hence he missed the chance due to his OWN actions and not Cech's action. So how does that count as a BIG save by Cech or a big chance saved by Cech when the chance has already been lost before it left Bastian's boot?

post the "save" from Rooney! Yes he demoralized an attack that was basically Non-existent LMAO.

So how does that count as a BIG save by Cech or a big chance saved by Cech when the chance has already been lost before it left Bastian's boot? This isn't that complicated. It qualifies as a big chance because of where he received the ball in a position to shoot. Again, take your case to OPTA if you have an issue with the way they quantify chances.
