Almost started a thread on Bellerin the other day. He's been amazing. Hopefully he'll resist Barcelona for a few more seasons.
DeBuchey is going to need some first team play if he is to still be considered for France. I could see him moving on next season. Yedlin is no Hector yet, but as he progresses, so will US fortunes.
I think Debuchy could leave in January.
Agreed, but I hope not. He seemed like the right buy at the time but injury and the speed (right choice of words there, I think) with which Bellerin has made his case for a regular starting role has been quite amazing. Problem is, who's our cover if Debuchy moves on? I'd rather we hang on to him until the summer. Given Wenger's loyalty to his players, I think he would be fine with rolling with Chambers as Hector's backup down the home stretch if it meant Debuchy got a chance to turn out for his country at the Euros.

The old unofficial policy of not losing one's position to injury is long gone. Pretty F'd up for Debuchy, but thems the breaks.

Not arguing your sense of things, but with Chambers "one step forward, two steps back" development so far I'm nervous about him being a viable alternative in the near future. Of course, Debuchy himself has not inspired confidence lately.

Of course, you'd expect the Frenchman to need some time to iron out the kinks following the long layoff.

Wally Pipp, where are you? I would certainly be dating myself if I confessed to knowing of Wally Pipp. Oh, wait... Doh!
