Kamy, the Mexican/US rivalry is littered with bad blood between both players and fans. It legitimately is a case of each side hating the other. It's pretty standard stuff, no? The closest neighbors always have the bitterest rivalries. International and club football - all sports for that matter - are full of examples. Fucking Giants.

JODB, I disagree with the motives in this match. Jurgen wanted this one. And the players really wanted it. It's why so many of the old guard were brought in. It wasn't a run out to see who's still in the plans, it was a last ditch effort to qualify for the one Intl tourney we have a shot at winning. And Jurgen was outmaneuvered by his Mexican counterpart, although you could see the talent disparity.
That said, I don't believe Klinsmann should be fired. However, he needs to quit getting caught between two minds heading into the qualifying cycle. Right. If someone else had come to the same conclusion that I did, you would have nodded your head in agreement. An ad hominem attack if there ever was one. What will it take to remove me from your radar?
Of course our boy Jurgen (remember, he's one of yours) wanted to win and qualify, but I'm not sure about fielding his best side Saturday night. To what degree we can debate, but there was some element of "let's see what they've got left" in his match objectives. Hell, I'll take it one Machiavellian step further and say that he may have been okay with seeing some of those aging stars, who all came running home to MLS, actually fail to make his case for moving beyond them. If I am right, there is no way Jurgen could lose.
Now for Christ's sake, will you quit hounding me?

Fucking Chase Uttley. Similar to an event in the Astros/Yankees one-game playoff with Gregorius taking out Altuve. Not even a thinly disguised attempt to slide into the base. Since there was no season ending injury there was nothing but the usual commentator's blather about the former doing what he had to do to break up the double play.
I thought both plays were poor, but until baseball decides to do something serious about that sort of thing you can count on seeing more of it.
And... Utley's suspension (if upheld) doesn't qualify as "something serious". It just smacks of an embarrassed commissioner's office trying to get on top of a public relations problem. Fix the rules and have the umpires enforce them. That shit'll end tomorrow.
And, of course, Fuck the Giants!

If you're not already on the ground before crossing the bag area, then you're either a reckless or malicious fuck who should be sanctioned to the max and beaten with a big stick.

LOL USA lost to El Tri
The Mehicans in California must have had a wild party.
What's so funny? Football is at best the fourth most popular team sport in my country, and even with last night's loss, we have been better than Mexico, for whom football is everything, for the last 15 years or so. Now that's funny.
hehe. I see a lot of hatred towards Mexican football here from the Gringo's here. Why is that? Apparently since 2000s the series has favored the U.S. 13ā6ā5 (WāLāD) Which is a great record, IMO. I think Mexicans are more talented and technical but still their record has been poor, not surprising as half the population is living in poverty and they lack good facilities to train and become better. I found this documentary "Gringos at the Gate". It talks bout how the balance of soccer power is beginning to shift in America's favor and a true soccer rivalry and how difficult has it been for Mexican fans to witness the rise of US Soccer. I will watch it. Mexico has many more international players. They are vastly more talented. The idea they cannot develop players in their number 1 sport because of poverty is not realistic. In this match Mexico ran circles around us. We were extremely lucky to push the game to extra time and then equalize in the second half of extra time.
