Watched the Man You game. Van Gall played Martial on the left. Strange but it worked. He tracked back and nullified the threat of Coleman.
The most i watch Bastian the more impressed i get. World Class. Van Gall has to play Schneiderlin and Schweinsteiger every game.
I am away so missed the game but looking at team selection it looks like Van Gaal is moving everyone around just to accomodate Rooney. Why move aMartial, who has scored the goals & has the pace Van Gaal so craves in a striker out wide ? I have said for a long time Utd look so much better with Herrera in the team & it's no coincidence that Utd creates more opportunities with him playing. Good to see Lingard get some game time, Van Gaal praised him for not losing possession but that's indicative to me of Utds problems creating chances overall, Van Gaal is more concerned with keeping the ball than he is creating chances with it. At some point players have to take a chance, either taking on an opponent or trying a pass with some risk attached. Van Gaal discourages flair & this is why DiMaria struggled & left. Was Memphis injured or dropped? Schneiderlin has to play every game, he has an energy & physicality neither Carrick or Bastian have Manchester United boss Louis van Gaal has warned Memphis Depay he risks following in the footsteps of Angel Di Maria and Radamel Falcao if he does not start buying into his philosophy.
Ouch! So he dropped Memphis! Van Gaal can really be a manager some players would not want to play under.

I think Memphis is a more talented winger than Ashley or Martial. Yesterday Martial tracked back, played short passes, was patient. Martial did the right things as per 'Van Gaal's' philosophy. Apparently Memphis does not. Memphis is young, he will learn.
But WTF is Van Gall saying something like this to the media? "watch it! Or you will get out of the club after 1 season!" - Is that the way to treat your young potential blockbuster of a winger?
Van Gaal really says strange stuff in the media.

Rumours are rife that he has been out clubbing & generally not looking after himself in the manner an athlete on his money should. Pisses me off because Zaha was dumped for far less & given no chances. It's fair to say that outside of Europe, Memphis has been a huge failure thus far at Utd
Van Gaal should do his research better, he bought both Memphis & DiMaria.

Man, that Sterling, what a bum, 3 in the first half when he could have had 5, really needs to work on his finishing I think...
Chuckle!!!!!!
LMAO I do fully expect England biggest hope, a player deserving 150k a week to have at least 1 good game in 4.
But he can't even shoot straight . You poor thing Pizzy, your world must be turned upside down, shitty Alexis banging in goals all over the place, the most over rated player ever who can't even shoot banging in a hatrick. I don't expect you to admit you are wrong but it's fun watching you squirm
Hahahahahhaha shame Alexis best after Ronaldo and Messi can't even get Arsenal past UCL round of 16, oh wait it's the Ox fault. Like I said I fully expect an average player like Sterling have 1 good game in 4. I guess in your home town that means having an 'excellent start' to his city career.I believe He's the most substituted player for city and he's usually the first to get substituted. I believe pellegrini has made half time substitution very few times in.his man city career due to poor performance, this season he's done it just twice and sterling is one pf them go figure.... I see that Raheem man crush avoided this, when he suddenly realized the 3rd best player in the world can't get his team past a mere UCL round of 16. Out of interest even though I'm not Ozil's biggest fan are you in the same school as Michael Owen that Raheem is better than Ozil?

Not long ago you admitted he was one of the best young talents around, is your hatred clouding your judgement or your memory Pizzy. How did Alexis contribute to Giroud getting sent off or to Ospina having a horror show? Is this all you have, the fact Arsenal might not get through to the last 16 is your evidence that Alexis is shit ?
In that case aJohn Stones must be totally shit because Utd haven't even scored at Goodison in the last 3 visits so it must be all down to Stones that Utd scored 3. You see how fucking ridiculous & puerile your logic is ? Are you still denying that Alexis is Arsenals best player ? You still thinking Ox is a better fit ( even though you back-pedalled & said Ramsey is keeping the Ox out, not Alexis ) for Arsenal than Alexis.?

So it was Giroud fault last year and it is Giroud's fault this year again as barring a miracle we won't get past the round of 16. It's never Alexis fault, all those Arsenal players surrounding him are the problem LOL.
When we talk about 'Young' players we are looking at players under the age of 23, (i.e 22 and below), basically players eligible for PFA young player of the year and the U-21 team. Is Sterling one of the best players in that category? absolutely! alongside Kane,Martial,Ox,Morata (I think he's more matured than the rest),Bellerin, Depay etc does anyone of these player deserves 150k a week? absolutely not, were ALL OF Realmadrid, Bayern Munich, Man utd and all the big clubs queuing up for these players absolutely not, and they weren't queing up for Sterling , it's something you made up to suit your agenda. Mind you Kane, Morata (obsviously), Martial (Best young player since Lionel Messi),Bellerin, Ox( when given a chance) are better than Raheem, that's why for now Sterling is an average player and IMO none of those players who are better than Sterling deserves to be paid 150k a week yet never mind a lesser player deserving it.
I see you avoided the Ozil-Sterling question, so I ask again given your constant criticism of the German and constant praise of Sterling are you in the Michael Owen school of thought that Sterling is better than Ozil?

Rojo is another one he's not getting along with, why buy these players if you're going to alienate them? Also in every game I've watched Rojo he's much more better at LB than CB but for some reason LVG plays him LB one game plays him CB in another game. He generally makes a lot of good interception on the left side, and also provide some attacking threat. I remember the league game at Old traford last season up until he was forced off injured we never looked like scoring, but as soon as he came off, you could sense a goal coming from that side.
Another one is Ander Herrera WTF? almost every time he plays he has a good game, yet he hardly gets a start? and one week he starts Schnerderlin, the next week he drops him for who? Carrick. Maybe LVG is just getting too old.
He's effectively costing United a lot of money and this is getting under the radar, he's signing players paying them big bucks and them Alienate them. Valdez is basically getting free money from united.

To try to argue that Alexis isn't top drawer because of the teams failing in last seasons CL is beyond ridiculous. Seriously Pizzy, if this is all you have then you should walk away. Normally when discussing a player you use individual stats but these don't really help you do they
So Sterling isn't " average" , he's in the elite of the young players. So much so he won Europes young player of the year a couple of seasons ago. Where does Gnabry fit in here ?
Reading your replies invokes a couple of emotions depending on my mood, annoyance or pity. Let's leave this until the end of the season & see if you can avoid snide little comments if Sterling puts a shot wide. Let's see who is the bigger man come the end of the season
BTW, the argument was never if Sterling was worth 150k a week, it was whether he was entitled to ask for it & clearly he was as he got it As for Ozil, that just another manoeuvre from you to steer away from a the wreckage of your posts. It's irrelevant to this
