Yep. Theo showed how devastating he can be, with his movement in that Man You game. Man of the match for me. Xidane - credit for realizing his development. I think u were too critical of him after the Community Shield game. Lots of people here laughed at me last year, when i said Theo will be an effective CF, given the opportunity. I always believe in this guy. Only thing he needs to add is his goal scoring. He is a good finisher, sometimes he lacks calmness. Maybe he will get that in time. Credit to the manager for sticking with him instead of selling him like Jose would have done. We have found a solution with Theo starting. He and Alexis terrorizing defenses with Pace. And Giroud comes on and gives something different. Lets keep it going. And Pizzyboy - I dont think we have been dropping points over the last 3-4 weeks, when playing Theo as CF. And i dont see how we will drop points in the coming games because Theo is starting as CF! Did u watch the Man U game? Edited by KamyFC, Oct 23 2015, 10:49 PM.

as we know, neither striker is top tier category but successfully woven their mediocrity onto wenger. nevertheless.... theo improves with ball retention/hold up play, giroud does it better with back 2 goal. theo is easily nudged off due to lack of upper body strength. ian wright had similar physical attributes but was bully rottweiler on d pitch terrorizing defenders. wot's up theo - not eating enuf spinach or shit scared of d gym? needs to show more bite, aggression, consistency and more goals. theo has fought tooth & nail 2 play striker. he needs strength 2 accompany blistering pace. would like 2 c both on pitch adding 2 oppositions confusion as opposed to subbing out theo -giroud can be subbed in to partner theo. mobility & ability to play behind defenders creates extra room and openings for creative santi, ramsey, ozil by stretching opposition defences. this point can't be understated despite french fucks superior showing. premise is theo with pace has burnt out & fatigued defenders before giroud is subbed in. starting games with slow french fuck is hanging offence as he quickly withers & peters out. but his strength & freshness against tiredness is welcome relief as subby. both play their parts. now, welbeck on the other hand.......lol Edited by chillyheat, Oct 24 2015, 08:23 AM.

The attacking play when the opposition plays a high line against us is breath taking. Against Man U , it was unreal the kind of interchanges between Walcott , Ozil and Sanchez with Carzola pulling the strings. Walcott makes Ozil and the Baka reject Alexis "lousy fit" Sanchez much more dangerous. If Walcott doesn't work, bring in the hammer and we win the game. I say despite the numbers there are alot of other factors. I say stay with Walcott as a starter. Well , comparing Theo and Giroud the numbers seems to favour Giroud. Stats don't measure everything. If it does , then Coq is a better passer than Ozil. 42 mil , what a waste of money. Denilson can do better. http://metro.co.uk/2015/10/08/arsenals-most-accurate-passers-revealed-with-francis-coquelin-surprise-in-first-place-5427534/ I wonder how the comparisons is when we throw in Alexis into the mix to see the numbers ? And even better when we pull out AOC stats and compare all 4 players. We have been Awesome since Walcott started 2-0 Bayern 3-0 Watford 4-0 Man United 5-2 Lester. Somehow I see the Olympiacos and Chelski game will enter the conversation soon. Chelski was an outlier with Costa being a cheat and Gabriel's red. Zagreb loss was on Giroud's red. Ospina is the culprit at Olympiacos. Alex Oxley better fit chamberlin is a little better than dreadful. I like my Arsenal doing well on the pitch when all is fit. The best 11 currently has Theo in the lineup. Giroud is infinitely better than Chamakh as a sub . I give him that. Edited by WX_Hitman, Oct 24 2015, 10:25 AM.

Kamy, as you know I love Theo but he absolutely deserved his criticism and deserved to be dropped for Giroud after the Community Shield game. He ended up with an assist in that game, but when you look at his overall performance in that game he was completely ineffective. He had 1 shot all game - a tame header from a free kick which was easily saved. And I think he completed less than 10 passes the whole time he was on. Giroud came on and suddenly he was holding the ball up, bringing everyone into the game, getting on the end of things and could have scored or assisted one or two goals himself. We looked much better with him on. And while the Everton game suited Giroud he did a lot of things Walcott just can't do. And that's fine but he needs to keep improving and continue with that aggressiveness and willingness to get involved and provoke situations and take shots. Wenger was talking about no.9s a while ago and he said he admired Falcao and Cavani because they were "animals" on the pitch. Suarez was a "devil" on the pitch. Costa as well has a similar mentality. That's why Wenger was interested in these players. And we have our own animal in Alexis. And Walcott and Giroud have to keep up that fighting mentality that they've shown recently. Giroud played like an absolute beast against Everton. And that's one of the criticisms I've had with Giroud as well. Too much feeling sorry for himself, too much complaining and wondering why things are going wrong instead of pulling his sleeves up and keep fighting and making something happen. Walcott looks like a very different player to the guy that was starting up front for us in 12/13. Compare his performance against Bayern that season (he was completely invisible) to the one against Bayern now. I was sort of bemused at how we were stuck with Giroud and Walcott in 12/13 as our strikers and neither one seemed good enough. And we were still stuck in that situation in three seasons on. But they're both much improved and I think right now both of them realize what they need to do in order to help the team. They're both working really hard for the team. And not just the strikers but players like Ozil and Cazorla and Ramsey - more attacking mids - are doing a tremendous job defending and winning the ball in midfield. When Ozil joined he was a luxury player. He needed two holding mids behind him. Now we can play Cazorla back there and know that Ozil will help out. Against Bayern he was so selfless in his role, it was a great game from him. So yeah, great to see how this team is doing right now. The hard work and selflessness that everyone is showing is brilliant. That's why we are winning big games. Keep doing this and we can win the league this season. |

You really want to go the Monaco route ? Sure........Don't say I didn't warn you. The striker whom you are bigging up as a better fit as a starting 11 . Forgot to put his shooting boots on. The winger whom you are bigging up as a better fit for Arsenal. Had one more of his inconsistent game. From Hero to Zero. Gave away posession and the opponents scored another away goal. Opps looks like the pizzmeister pissed against the wind again. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2969438/Arsenal-s-Alex-Oxlade-Chamberlain-went-hero-zero-three-minutes-seven-seconds-3-1-Monaco-defeat.html http://www.express.co.uk/sport/football/560514/Olivier-Giroud-Arsene-Wenger-Monaco-reaction Edited by WX_Hitman, Oct 25 2015, 05:44 AM.
