Nope, there will be no major moves. You have a Wenger a coach who is stuck in the past and still conducts business as if it is 2002. What did you expect?

I noticed you keep blaming Wenger but in my opinion this falls on Ivan Gazidis for not being able to complete any transaction this summer

Gazidis is nothing more than a Wenger acolyte and knows nothing about football. You couldn't say the same about David Dein.
It's no coincidence that Arsenal look like a fish out of water these days, especially when it comes to potential signings.
Kroenke and the board have become enablers,Arsene turns a tidy profit. To them, that seems to be all that matters.

Reports say differently...the board and Gazidis actually want to buy big players, Wenger just does not want to.

We have the money and we cant get good players. Amazing.
I feel both have to be blamed for the way they have handled this transfer window.
Gazidiz for opening his mouth and uttering Gibberish and Wenger for being cautious

Mad,the tail wagging the dog?Isn't that what I'm saying? The CEO and the board are beholden to Wenger.
Lawyers and bean counters don't know anything about football or players.

The fact that Wenger sanctioned a 40 mil pound transfer for Suarez, which would have shattered our transfer record and for a player with such character issues makes me believe that Ivan Gazidis has more sway over Wenger. Unless you believe that Wenger allowed the club make that bid knowing that it would get rejected. If you believe that then this entire transfer window has been a hoax and why should I believe Gazidis is not part of it. The Suarez thing gave the club credibility yet this transfer window resembles transfer windows of the past.

Perplexing is definitely the word to use. We have heard the excuse of lack of spending power in the past but certainly that excuse does not cut it this summer seeing that we were prepared to spend $40m pounds + $1 on a single player. A club that can afford to splash so much cash on one player surely could have spent significantly smaller sums earlier on in the transfer window to improve and reinforce the weak areas in the team.

Yet here we are, 3 days away from the start of the season and we essentially have the same squad that we had at the end of last season. The same squad that could not challenge for any trophy last season. The same squad that barely finished in the top 4. The same squad that simply was not good enough.

"Same old shit dog, just a different day" from "Here We Go Again" DMX

Am I the only one that is completely surprised by how this entire transfer season has played out? I initially didnt believe Ivan Gazidis when he said we had all this money and I expected that our transfer activity would leave much to be desired but the entire process and how we got to this point has been nothing short of perplexing.

I decided to reopen this thread because it is just as appropriate as when I initially made it. I expect some transfer flurry on deadline day or if the team struggles at the start of the season but I cant see us making a major move this late in the game.
I've been growling like DMX alot lately watching day after day go by with nothing happening.

I was supremely confident that this summer was gonna be different. We would strike early, get our business done, and be ready for the season. How wrong have I been to believe. We have spent ZERO MONEY. How is that even possible?

I am glad that we've jettisoned much of the dead wood on the team but we've done nothing to actually improve the team on the field.

Reports also said Higuain was in London.
