Liverpool confirm we made a huge bid for Suarez: http://news.arseblog.com/2013/07/liverpool-confirm-arsenals-suarez-bid/?utm_source=dlvr.it&utm_medium=facebook

Now I'll let some of you get back to your conspiracy theories about all this transfer noise being 100% media-manufactured nonsense.

I think that photo of Suarez was carefully chosen by the editor. Even in celebration, it looks like he's ready to chomp down.

More BS. Liverpool is not going to sell to Arsenal unless we pony up more than 40 million. That would be a first.

phato as much as I don't think the bid for suarez is true(Cruyff I still think it's false), I think you are being a bit unfair to Suarez that he's had only one good season and is not worth £35 mil. He's been excellent since he joined liverpool, and he never dissapoint with Uruguay either.I can't think of too many striker in world football today better than suarez. Also add the fact that I can't think of more than 2 or 3 players that work harder than suarez on the pitch of play.
If I was in Wenger shoes I would even go as far as paying £40m for suarez, when you have a combination of a world class player who also happen to be one of the most hard working players out there then £35m is definitely not a waste.

In addition with all this talk about racism, teeth biting etc, is Liverpool not a better side with Suarez on the team? let's see if they'll ever break into the top 4 in this current decade if they let suarez go.

Don't know how much more you could want than a quote from Liverpool's managing director, but we're in pretty close agreement on what Suarez can do as a player. Still, all that baggage inclines me to believe our money would be better spent elsewhere. I don't know, maybe if they duct tape his mouth shut the club could keep him in line.

I saw the comments from Liverpool a couple of hours ago and I was distraught, of all the players in the world, after years of cutting corners to make ends meet, we finally decide to splash some money and that is the guy we chose? This is one situation where I hope it is just a hoax because I would rather we spend nothing than blow 35 mil of Suarez

Phato us blowing £35million will mean signing a useless player who would do nothing or maybe even signing andy carroll.
but you think signing one of the best players around for £35m is blowing money. I understand the issue in terms of behaviour but the worse this guy can do is commit an offence which would get him suspended for 10 games and in the remaining 40+ games in all competition he would put in an absolute 100% shift with a work rate possessed by only a few players on the planet.

Part of me also think with Arsenal he would have less frustration than liverpool hence the chances of him losing his cool with Arsenal will be lower than liverpool.

I've no idea and it doesn't matter anyway. The situations are not comparable, nor are the clubs' styles.

Is it just me ? I get the same sick feeling that it will be the "same old" Arsene speak and the only business we will do is on the last day. "We tried but we could not find a player of suitable quality" has been his catch cry for a number of years now. How I want one player in the class of DB10 just to instil into me that we are at least serious.
