safe to say we will be in the Champions League again.. http://www.arsenal.com/news/news-archive/champions-league-play-offs-the-lowdown These are the possible teams we may face and none of them scare me like Udinese did a couple years ago.. Real Sociedad Pacos de Ferreira Salzburg/Fenerbahce (subject to CAS ruling) PAOK Salonika/Metalist Kharkiv PSV Eindhoven/Zulte Waregem Nordsjaelland Grasshoppers Zurich |

Probably would want to avoid Metalist Kharkiv of all those teams. Travelling to the Ukraine isn't ideal & they had some decent results last season in the Europa League & have strengthened this season. Plus I don't like playing teams with odd names ! |

PSV and Real Sociedad are no chump teams. We crashed out to 2007 round of 16 against PSV. |

PSV are a strong enough team. The rest are merely difficult commutes or have tricky away grounds that are cauldron-like. I refer to Grasshopper and Sociedad. |

Fuck that! There is not one team in that list we should have ANY problem with. If we do, our demise will be quicker than I thought. There should be no fucking excuses. |

Also a good thing to avoid teams whose leagues are already under way, match fitness can be a huge leveller |

Barring from some crazy upsets tomorrow. The 5 possibilites are set: Real Sociedad, Pacos de Ferreira, Metalist, Fenebache and PSV. We should overcome any of 5. This is certainly easier than Udinese from a couple of years ago but they are all no pushovers. My preference of opponents are: Pacos, Metalist, Fenerbache, Real Sociedad and PSV.

I just dont understand this In our draw we might face any one of these teams Real Sociedad, Pacos de Ferreira, PSV Eindhoven, Fenerbahce or Metalist Kharkiv in the two-legged tie. Celtic can meet any one of Austria Vienna, Legia Warsaw, Maribor, Ludogorets Razgrad or Shakhter Karagandy. Celtic's opponents seem looks easier as compared to ours! I wonder why we are paired with the tougher bunch and why are Celtic in a separate section. Beats me. Edited by KamyFC, Aug 8 2013, 09:08 PM.

Celtics won their league so they are in the champions pot. Arsenal are in the non champions route. |

ah! Thanx for clarifying - Dream. Stupid rule by UEFA. This could ensure big teams could crash out in the play off stage itself. And that would not be good for the profile of the group stages. I mean UEFA would prefer having - PSV Eindhoven, Fenerbahce, Sociadad rather than Ludogorets Razgrad or Shakhter Karagandy in the group stage They will realize that and change the rule next year
