Suarez Bombshell

I'm surprised nobody has covered this yet but he basically pulled a Van Persie, went to and talked to the Telegraph and Sid Lowe of the Guardian and bashed Brendan Rodgers saying he broke his verbal agreement and breached his contract and that he will take this to arbitration and that he will hand in his transfer request this week. safe to say he has played his last game as a liverpool player and burnt the bridge with his fans.. I don't think liverpool will throw him in the reserves and let him rot because they don't have a lot of depth and could use the money to reinvest. so this opens the door for Madrid and Arsenal. If Madrid don't get Bale surely they will come, and Liverpool would rather sell him outside England. therefore i think Arsenal if they really want the player need to make another bid this week of around 45 million pounds and wrap him up and we can play him in the CL qualifiers since his ban is only for the EPL matches.

As I feared, a player who word is not as good as his bond. It is shameful that this has happened.

My disdain for Suarez is well known, but if Rogers did break a verbal agreement then the heinous one has every rite to speak out publicly about it

one caller called into talksport and suggested we pursue Rooney instead and play a diamond shape, with Rooney in the middle, OX, Theo on the wings, and Wilshere playing behind.. This will help England in 2014, also the players will arguably have better chemistry than Suarez by playing with each other on international duty.

This didn't strike me as a bombshell at all. I was assuming we'd see something like it sooner or later as the player has so far not gotten his own way. If we end up signing him we can look forward to being on the other side of a similar drama a couple of years from now when Real Madrid come calling.

As long as he gives us a couple of years of good service and help us win trophies, who cares if he leaves after that. I mean it is not as if we have had a bunch of loyal servants down the years, have we? Remember Vieira, Henry, Adebayor, Song, Nasri, Cesc, RVP - these guys did not exactly leave because the club wanted to sell them at the time but because it had no choice! We just don't moan as much as others do about it even when we sell to our direct rivals. So yes, we should be used to this by now. It is simply the reality today and I expect Suarez may want to leave if and when Real, Barca, etc come calling.

Wow, I did not appreciate how good Suarez is on free kicks. I remember RVP taking all of ours but rarely ever scoring! He was an expert at hitting the wood work.
