Well I think now it is highly unlikely that Suarez will ever play a competitive game for Liverpool again, the question is where will he end up? I am very surprised at how quiet Madrid has been during this whole Suarez saga, all the circumstances are in favour of them signing him.
(1) Pool would much prefer to sell to a club outside of England (2) Madrid would be well aware that Arsenal is not likely to engage them in a bidding war and would therefore face very little competition in signing the player. (3) After selling Higuain, Madrid is currently light in the striker department. (4) Suarez most likely wants to go to Madrid, he has voiced his displeasure of living in England. (5) Suarez would not have to miss the first 6 games of the La Liga season.
However, when Madrid is interested in a player, the entire world hears about it and one can infer from their quietness that they are not pursuing Suarez. Real Madrid are more interested in getting Bale. Should they fail to get Bale, they will go after Suarez but it looks like they will eventually get their bigger fish who is Bale.

Why not go after both? There's no space in the team for both.

Wow, I did not appreciate how good Suarez is on free kicks. I remember RVP taking all of ours but rarely ever scoring! He was an expert at hitting the wood work.
Suarez is really good with free kicks, certainly better than RVP. He is right now probably the best in the premiership. Pick of the bunch for me is the Newcastle goal. Sublime touch and composure.
Thirty goals is thirty goals, but he sure did like playing against Wigan (5 goals) and Norwich (4).

Why not go after both? Madrid r spending huge money on Bale. Also not known to the public, are the efforts going on internally to give Ronaldo a new contract.
Some experts say that the Bale saga is a front, so that they can quietly secure Ronaldo's services for more than 18 months. But yeah they are getting Bale and keeping Ronaldo.
so Suarez is low priority. But as the window drags on - i fear we will miss out on Suarez when Madrid come knocking.

This didn't strike me as a bombshell at all. I was assuming we'd see something like it sooner or later as the player has so far not gotten his own way. If we end up signing him we can look forward to being on the other side of a similar drama a couple of years from now when Real Madrid come calling.
I don't know why you are bothered about him leaving us, he stayed with liverpool for good 2 and half years, the worst is he will stay with us for 2 years then another big club comes knocking, and they would make an offer that would result in arsenal making profit. BTW there's little or no chance that Real madrid would be interested in suarez in 2 years time because 1)They tend to go for players below 27 years 2)If they aren't interested in suarez now that he's in his peak why would they be interested in 2 years time when he might be slightly past his peak? You begin to contradict yourself here. You claim that we would likely make a profit on him, but them claim that the club who would most likely be in for him wouldn't buy him because he'll be too old. The only way we would make a profit is if we were to buy him for less than 25 million.

This may be mentioned in another thread, but the PFA has apparently seen the contract and said that Suarez' camp is in the wrong here. But, he seems to have burned nearly all remaining bridges with Rodgers. They still have the power, however, with Suarez being suspended, with the number of years still on his contract, and with next year being a World Cup year. Add to that the comments that Henry keeps making. He will look like a fool if he sells now.
Suarez will have no choice but to apologize and play his heart out this year if Liverpool decide that they won't sell.

Wrong no contradiction whatsoever ,the most likely club to be in for him is NOT Madrid, that's just pure speculation by press because Suarez expressed his love for Madrid.
We could buy suarez(best striker in the epl atmo) for 45mil and sell him to Monaco or PSG for 55mil or Chelsea if they are still unable to secure a world class striker.

Each of the French clubs has a striker equal to or greater than Suarez. And I hope to God we're done selling to Prem rivals. But who would pay that much for a player who will be on the wrong side of his peak at that time? Something you talked about yourself.
