Apologies if there was already a thread I couldn't find it.. But we had all thought Wolfsburg was in the driver seat to sign Gustavo not anymore! It seems Gustavo wants a move either to Arsenal or Chelsea where he can play in the CL and have a better chance to make the Brazil squad for 2014.. But we can't count Man United out they need a DM as well. but he would be great for Arsenal he plugs a whole in Defensive Midfield and could also be played at the back in case of injuries. immediately walks into the starting XI. we need to buy this guy and he is cheaper than Fellaini and perhaps better. and he should be in Arsenal's range between 10-15 million. he is also a winner something arsenal needs to add, he won the confederations cup and the treble with Bayern last year.

Get Gustavo for 15 million quid
Suarez for 45 million quid
and we instantly improve into a contender over night still spending less than the 70 million Gazidis said we had at our disposal. COYG

I don't know much about this guy but I've reached the point where I'm desperate enough for defensive help to support signing him anyway.

Spurs, Chelsea and Arsenal are mentioned in the rumours in relation to Gustavo. Now that Spurs have Capoue can anyone guess how this will go?

He's another where I wondered why the rumor mill had dried up. Seemed a good fit to me a few weeks back and still does. There are a few others who I'd prefer, but none that are this readily available.

Don't know why you keep asking question you've got the answer to, of course "when Chelsea's get involved Arsenal would pull out". :)

Taking this with a grain of salt after the Higuain fiasco and it's The Metro reporting it after all, but this would be a great signing for us!

Three papers reporting the Gustavo story: The Metro, Caught Offsides, and Goal.com...

In other words, a completely bullshit rumour

This would be a key signing that isn't a budget buster. Midfield and CB depth are needed if Arsenal is to compete meaningfully on three or four fronts this season.

I'm seeing the same stories that we're gonna sign him for 14 mil. I hope so but with all things Arsenal, I'll wait until I see it on their own website before I believe it.
