Arsenal v City

The boys performed admirably yesterday and I actually expected them to be spanked badly by City.
But our squad depth is as shallow as our arsenal babies training pool .

Or are we expecting Zelalam and Gnabry and Eisfeld to be making their breakthrough with us in midfield ?

That still mean that we are short of a CB and a striker.

Should Ramsey replicate the type of performance he handed to City on a regular basis, I will refer to him as Sir Ramsey, thereafter.

That was a well behaved Roy Kane in the making.

Also, thought it was worth mentioning how tactically astute and mature Chamberlain's performance was. He is surely going to grow into that role and will start playing with more freedom.

Wenger is onto something with a more steely midfield outlook.

It seems a lot of posters are drawing conclusions from this game ;)

I never saw the game but I saw the goals. I think one thing that we can definitely take from this game is that based on the goals we scored this team definitely has it in them to produce the type of football we have been accustomed to over the years.

I also feel that maybe too many of us have written of Giroud as a dud signing, he has had a very good preseason and scored a fantastic goal as well. Time will tell what kind of season he has. I also agree with the poster who says that Giroud looks leaner compared to last season. This is something I noticed from I saw him in Indonesia, he did look a bit slimmer to me and I was wondering if I was the only one who noticed it. Again, time will tell whether he has an improved season.

I am still adamant that we are about 3-4 signings away from challenging for the BPL or the Champion's League this season and I am disappointed that we are in this position with the season officially kicking off in a week's time.

Perhaps the pursuits of Higuain and Suarez have been smoke screens meant to light a fire under Giroud's ass.

The more I think about it, Arsenal should leave Suarez to serve one more year of his Liverpool sentence, and they should snatch Rooney away from both United and Chelski. It's a purchase twofer that could swing the balance of EPL power.

Wow - we won. Thatz a surprise. I had no hope of us winning after the way we performed in The Emirates Cup.
Theo was the man of the match for me. Scoring and Assists too. He is a key player this season.
