Suarez to Arsenal, Rooney to Chelsea, Bale to Madrid

How many, & which will happen ?

I seem to think it will either be all 3 or none. Each selling club is spouting the same rhetoric saying the player is definitely NOT for sale

If only one is to happen, it will be Bale to Madrid, if only because Spurs have been very busy buying players

Suarez to Arsenal is a joke. I really believe that this is just a ruse to pacify the fans...bidding for a player knowing that the club does not want to sell to a rival.

In an interesting side note - If Poo manage to Keep Suarez bcos they dont want to sell to a direct rival (irrespective of how unhappy Suarez will be) and Man U keep Rooney - as even they dont want to sell to a direct rival -

What does that say bout our management when we decided to gift the title to Man U by selling RVP ?

Look at the way Poo and Man U are hard balling in thier negotiations. They wont sell to a rival in the same league which will strengthen the other team.

On the other hand, we are all bout money and not bout being competitive. Its sad the way we operate.

When we sold RvP, the points you raise were discussed ad infinitum whether it wa s a wise decidion or not. It's worthy noting that our rivals have a different strategy when it comes to selling to close competitors than we do. Our way is our way, it is what it is!

Does anyone really see Wayne Rooney playing in a Chelsea shirt? Utd hardly ever sell their big players in their prime and when they do, they don't sell them to other English clubs. If Rooney leaves he will be playing for a club outside of England.

I agree that the deal that has the greatest probability of going through is the Bale to Madrid move, simply because of the ridiculous amounts of money that Madrid are willing and ready to pay for the player.

The RVP situation was very different seeing that he was in the last year of his contract and we risked the chance of losing him next year for free. RVP also made it clear that he was not signing a contract extension and had basically burned all the bridges between himself and the club and fans. Its hard to criticize the club's decision to sell him to UTD at that stage. We really had no choice.

We had an option. A couple actually. We could've sold him to a club outside of England or simply not sold him at all. In the end, I bet our club thinks we won in that RVP deal since we still finished in the top 4 without him.

Apparently, according to a story in the Guardian, Utd would risk massive financial loss on Rooney rather than sell him to Chelsea even if it means he rots on the bench for 2 seasons & walks away for nothing
Whether that is all just hard balling we will have to wait & see

,.. but but perspectives here Bog, by losing Rooney you risk missing out on finishing top (that would also be a hefty financial loss.) Us losing RvP had no bearing on us finishing 4th and we subsequently saw that, right?

I would contend that the decision to keep Rooney is the only decision, the only one that makes sense and unfortunately it's being forced upon them by circumstances not on principle!

Anyone that thinks Rooney will just sit and rot on the bench for 2 good seasons is a joke, after 6 months of no action Rooney will start begging for playing time at united.
