Evidently, none of Villa, Fulham or Fenerbahce concern Arsene and Ivan enough to have highly skilled mercenaries en route to The Emirates. And with the senior squad currently resembling a MASH unit, it will be interesting to see what Wenger offers up in the first match of the season today. Arteta is out, and Ramsey and Sagna are carrying minor knocks. Anyway, I'll take the first stab at the line-up: Woj Sagna Kos Mert Gibbs Ramsey Wilshere The Ox Theo Giroud Podolski We know Fabianski and Santi will be in the squad, but I won't venture any guesses beyond those. I'll head off to rest, and I'll report back before game time. If it turns out that Arsenal wins the first few matches where I start the match thread, anyone who mentions the fact should be kicked off this forum. Come on you fucking Gooners!!! I'd add Rosicky to the squad as a 'for sure'. In fact, if I was the gaffer, I'd start him at the tip of the MF triangle and leave Ox as an impact sub. I'm guessing the boss starts Santi, but like you, I'd start him on the bench due to his (relative) lack of preseason and his Ecuadorian adventures this past week. |

Haha. The other night at work I said "gracias" to a coworker, but pronounced it like a dumb American might. In other words, I used the short 'a' sound (like in 'hat') both times. So he said, "Gracias? Is that what your kids get when then sit on your lawn after you mow and water" |

Ass Pass out wide. Ass Pass looking for a hole. Ass Pass holds it up. Ass Pass with a strong header. I'm just cracking up. They're putting his first name in there more now to break it up a little. Begovic is a fucking beast. We got some money to spend don't we? |

Arsenal: Szczesny, Sagna, Mertesacker, Koscielny, Gibbs, Ramsey, Rosicky, Walcott, Wilshere, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Giroud. Subs: Podolski, Cazorla, Fabianski, Sanogo, Jenkinson, Frimpong, Gnabry. So Mozart > Santi OX > Poldi Interesting |

You were right about Rosicky, but The Ox is slated for much more than being a late game change of pace this season. He gives the opposition a bit more to think about from the start. |
