For me there are problems everywhere. Players/ a) Midfield - cannot cope with teams who press. Not technically good enuf to keep ball under pressure. There was the a time we used to pass the teams off the park. Not anymore. No Defensive midfielder as you said. We need a DM who will play DM b) Forward line - Am sorry - Giroud hardly inspires confidence. he needs 10 shots to score 1. His movement in the box is ok. But his overall movement to drift wide, get back in, get behind the shoulder etc is almost non existent We need TOP TOP class to improve our link up play. But we dont wanna spend. c) Defence - Defence is not helped by our poor midfield anyway. We need serious backup. Manager Wenger's tactical nous is again to be questioned. We see the same issues every year and there is nothing done to change the way we setup or play. I see no ingame tactical moves to counter Villa's pressing or counter attacks. Transfer Business What the @!#$ were we doing the entire summer? I dont understand this reactive recruitment than being proactive and getting players fast and being prepared for the season. Issues all over the pitch / Off the pitch Edited by KamyFC, Aug 17 2013, 11:28 AM.

We should pole-axe him. He is hopeless at crosses and can't make a save when it matters. And there were those who thought Julio Cesar was worse. |

United Chelsea and City would beat this Villa team 4 nil at home. We are a light year from these teams. |

You can bet that in every match down the road, opponents will chip away at Wilshere in hopes of taking him out of his game mentally, physically and emotionally. He seemed more interested in bitching at the Villa players and the ref after the equalizer. Definitely not captain material at this stage. His day was punctuated by the unforgivable loss of possession that led directly to the go ahead PK and indirectly to the sending off of Kos. Real fucking domino effect there. |

We will score first and then everyone on our team would walk around like they are super stars. I see the same score line and Europa League football is notfar fetch at this point. |

As focused as we may be on the shortcomings upstairs and on the sideline, let's not forget to give the lads some credit for today's performance as well. Up 1-nil and well in control, the midfielders shut down in unison and allowed Agbonlahor to run at the defense with the ball at pace. I'm sure that he could not believe his good fortune as the Red Sea parted in front of him. And there was no excuse for pissing away the draw either. The ref made a terrible call, but that was after Wilshere made an equally terrible decision in possession. Wilshere is nowhere near back to his form of a few seasons back, and he needs to be benched until he is ready both physically and mentally to be in the middle of the action out there. |

So I was lucky I missed this. I'm not going to pretend to say it's a surprise because we have seen this result often enough through the years that one becomes indifferent to it. As I type rvp scores. Ugh. Wake me up when the club start acting like they want to compete. |
