Do we have any players available on the bench that can turn things around for us?
Why do I have the funny feeling that this will be the official name of the 2013/14 Season DVD...

The Halftime Report

A lapse in recognition and effort by the midfield led to the first goal. Also, Kos needed to stand Agbonlahor up there and not fly at (an by) him. After such a promising start, it would appear that the penalty and the equalizer have unraveled the Gunners a bit. It seemed they were at least as interested in bitching as they were in playing for a while.

If the boys keep flying into challenges like they have been, someone is gonna get hurt.

The shift up of the FB's caused by Gibbs's departure will take away some of the side's natural attacking flow.

The team must now regroup in the locker room and find their composure. If they get caught up in a tit for tat battle, that will play into Villa's hands.

how was Gabriel Agbonlahor allowed to run straight through the Arsenal defence I do not know. Very disappointing performance.

Complete lack of awareness by the entire midfield plus a poorly timed attempt by Kos to win the ball (rather than standing the man up) was the recipe for disaster there. Could have been much worse had the ref shown red to Woj.

All the flaws in the team that you thought we could get away with in this game were exposed in the first goal. The midfield trio is not really a typical midfield trio, there isn't really a defensive minded player that would take charge defensively in that situation. Agbonlahor simply walked in as the Red Sea parted and even though I haven't seen the replay, I would guess that Mert was beaten for pace and finally our goalkeeper goes to ground and doesn't get the ball. Time and time again he has come out and not gotten the ball and conceded a penalty. I am almost sure he has the most number of penalties conceded by any goalkeeper in the premiership

Villa are pressing us like crazy. Lambert has set them up well. Our midfielders have no time on the ball.

Look at Mert again, Arsenal very lucky. We are seeing these huge gaps in our defence today
