Falcao in a Arsenal shirt. You heard it here first. Or maybe you heard it somewhere else first. But you heard it here.
Marca reported that. I'm not holding out for any big signings but now only 1 name can save us. Wayne Rooney. We need a versatile and able player like that. Versatalibilty (not a word) is the key.
They did? Marca? Sign him up! Incidentally, weren't you supposed to make some dire prediction about the upcoming season, as you did with the USMNT about 13 games ago? Or was that someone else. If it was you I blame you for today. You got the wrong guy McFly.

Who was it?
Man up! Take some responsibility for once in your life!

I'll raise my hand about Klinsmann and the US team. I still hate Klinsmann and think he's a fraud. Love that the national team is doing so well lately though.

Regardless if we buy now the transfer window has been a complete disgrace because we've dropped points based off our incompetence. Even if we spend 40-50 mil next week it will take a month to integrate the players and almost all of them will be on inflated transfer fees.
We face a real danger of bowing out of the CL and being several points behind in the league before any of these new signings can adjust. There doesn't seem to be any available game changing striker out there so we'd have to settle for MF reinforcements and depth at the back and even with that we'll prolly be in a battle for 4th all season.
Crashing out of the CL this month or not finishing in the top 4 this season might be the best thing going forward for this club.

I could make a pretty good argument that buying one player helped united to the title last year... that was RvP and they paid £24million for him.
That said, we are NOT United... and spending £24million on one player will not help us win anything this year.... nor will spending £55million on one player (Suarez) or £70million on one player (Falcao).
Since I am not one to just be a blow hard and offer no solutions.... here is what I would do if I had £70million to splash... granted.... striker options are now limited (thanks for waiting til the last minute Arsenal!!)
£25 - Marouane Fellaini £3.5 - Julio Caesar £12 - Ashley Williams £38 - Stephan El Shaarawy
dude - all these players will add to our squad. Nice List. Morning morning - Wenger better start making those calls.

I'd be happy with that. I might tweak it and go after Bender instead of Fellaini. And El Shaarawy wants to stay at Milan, but I'd still see what the interest would be. Also, check the resolve of Dortmund and the Bayern-lusting Lewandowski. Or Jackson Martinez from Porto.
