Well based on the kind of relationship I have at work, the only compensation my current employer would need is the assurance that I will never work here again. Downsides of signing me I am unfit I have one good knee I am rubbish at any level of football higher than six a side footy (should fit in quiet well with the current squad). Upsides of signing me I have no ambition. I will never hand in a transfer request. At 25, I am nearing the peak of my potential (not sure if this is an upside). I am old enough to drink while voting. |

This all (free, unfit, rubbish at any level) sounds much too reminiscent of the Silvestre fiasco. No hard feelings, ras, but I say the club should pass on your kind offer. |

You can throw in Edu and maybe even Parlour to do a job there if needed. (as backup) |

We sure aren't making any friends with this bid. Pardew has ripped us for the timing abd the amount we offered. Cabaye didn't even play today. |

If we really piss off Alan Pardew maybe I'll consider this transfer window a success after all. |

I dont think there is anything wrong with the price, it seems some people just enjoy paying over the odds for players for the sake of it. However the timing is all wrong and Pardew is right to be pissed. Although there might be suggestion that this bid is a reaction to last weekend's result, I think it has more to do with Arsenal wanting to do its business late in the transfer window. That way there isnt much room for the seller to haggle too much over the price since they would need to get a replacement as soon as possible if they agree to sell. |

You probably headed off to bed thinking that was an excellent troll. Honestly, I deserve a better effort than your best but here goes. If we are thinking of only one game, specifically the Villa game, to focus us on a signing then I would agree that Cabayé is a panic buy. Especially if Newcastle secure a derisory amount like 20 million. If we are looking for a more experienced continuity midfielder, and we were linked with Cabayé previously which I see you are hoping you can deny, then Cabayé is not a panic buy. |

I simply quoted you How else would you explain " it has the ring of move to deal with poor midfield display " So many similarities to the panic buy saga of 2 years ago with the possible difference that this time it won't take an 8-2 mauling to get Wenger to act & he has 2 weeks as opposed to 48 hours Funny thing is, he couldn't find any quality players before the game & was asking publicly who he should buy, surely having apparently "tracked" Cabaye he would have acted earlier if he really wanted him When did Arsenal actually show any interest in Cabaye? I don't mean looking at him, I mean seriously enquiring , was anything going on before the shock loss to Villa? |

These last couple of weeks of the window are gonna be funny to read about on here. I'm setting the over/under on the words "panic buy" being written by posters at 75. I said it before. The term means nothing to me. As long as we sign some players that will come in and contribute immediately than let's get the ball rolling. |

At this juncture, i'll be pitching my tent with the 'panic buy' team, or d'you believe we've been tracking Cabaye for 2-3 yrs? |
