I can't buy into AW being the tragic scapegoat. I feel that he would've walked away rather than allow himself to be the fall guy for others.
He loves the club, perhaps too much. He wouldn't have walked away and the board who sold their shares to Kroenke knew that.
We all know how much he loves the club. The idea that AW is a fall guy implies the love he has is not getting returned by those above him. If that was true, than how could he stay? Is he suffering from battered spouse syndrome?

His loyalty is to the greater body of club colleagues, and to some extent the fans.

LOL Poor Wenger. For 7.5 mil, I sold be willing to be abused like Wenger has.

So after all this - what is Hitman's theory? That Wenger is not to blame?

You cannot absolve Wenger of any liability. He must be part of it.

I'm sure whatever you are being paid presently doesn't recompense you for the harsh words you receive.... Why don't you apply for the job. We would give you a year, but when you dash into the market for Eboué at 20m and Soloman Kalou at 40m don't expect the eyebrows not to rise.
