Woj not making any friend with a couple of big saves early. |

Townsend looking like a beast for England down the right side. The Polish goal had been under siege for around 15 minutes before Rooney's header broke the deadlock. |

Poland looking every bit the team with nothing to play for. Some enthusiastic attacking, but too casual in possession and not too concerned about sticking to their man in defense. Delighted to see Wilshire seated so far. On the other hand, I'll bet Coleman wrings every last drop from Ramsey again. On the other side of the ball in that one, Verm has gotten the start. Interesting. |

Wilshere on late. England look like they're not gonna have to deal with a playoff match. |

Just read that Ozil was limping off the pitch at the end of the Germany match. |

We probably don't need him for Norwich since Santi is back. We need him big time for Dortmund. |

Best info I could find was he suffered a bruised knee. Nothing apparently serious. |

I'd have Ramsey and Ozil on the bench Saturday. A fresh Wilshire and a returning Cazorla should fill the gaps ably, even if we need to sub the latter off at 70 minutes or so. Giroud went almost the whole game again. Not sure where we're going to find help for him. I'm all for throwing Theo on there but I don't think he'll be back until mid-November at the earliest. Does Sanogo have the goods - at least to handle some of the lesser competition (Norwich, Palace) coming up? Koscielny put in another 90, but Per had the day off. Maybe we give Verm a run this weekend after all? Starting on the 29th we have a very tough run of games - Chelsea, Liverpool, Dortmund away and then Man United away. We'll need all our horses for those. Time management will be every bit as important as man management. Edited by dsch15, Oct 15 2013, 05:52 PM.
