I like numbers as much as the next guy, but when you throw around comparisons of how many goal scoring opportunities a player has created you really ought to be at least a little careful about putting them in context. Michu's 16 have come from seven games, Ozil's 11 from only four. More to the point, Michu would be a very good signing. But I think we need an excellent one in January so, no, he's not the answer. |

YES , I will welcome him with open arms. (He can share the spot with Giroud) . We will have the more handsome strike partnership ever !

I don't disagree, but who else is out there? I would take Michu over Benzema myself. I think Rooney is nothing more than a pipe dream... |

After the Ozil deal, January expectations will be as high as they have ever been in Goonerville. Assuming that Arsenal continue to show well in both the EPL and CL, visions of sugar plums will exist for both the club and its prospective signings, and the club should aim as high as the budget allows to potentially put them in the driver's seat in these competitions. That said, Michu certainly represents a nice fall back position. Edited by JustOneDennisBergkamp, Oct 16 2013, 08:02 PM.

What exactly are we looking for in January at the striker position? A better player than Giroud who would instantly start over him? Those types don't just fall off the tree and cost a ton. Or are we looking for someone to just spell Giroud from time to time? |

Yes. Well, yes to your first question, anyway. If we can't get a player like that, we should aim for someone not just to spell Giroud but to give him serious competition for the spot. Michu could provide that, I think. Edited by dsch15, Oct 16 2013, 10:42 PM.

Suarez will end up at Real Madrid toward the end of the transfer window in Jan. Just when Liverpool thought they have shut us out for buying from RM. It came from no where that we annouce the singing of Angel Di Maria. |

How bout Benzema? I know he is out of form, but they say class is permanent. I think Wenger should go for him and make Poo sell Suarez to Madrid. The time is right to get him. Benzema is not liked at Madrid and he is the kind of player who will solve both the cases
But i welcome Michu too if we cant get anyone. I feel the Swansea might inflate his price to around 30m Pounds. Thatz the bad part of getting him in Jan. Edited by KamyFC, Oct 17 2013, 12:22 AM.
