He's a buddy of Chester. Come on Wenger, learn some Polish the next couple of months and land him in Jan. Below is the quote: To do that, Arsenal will have to keep striker Robert Lewandowski quiet, a player the club have been linked to. He is a close personal friend of Poland international teammate Wojciech Szczesny, and the goalkeeper said they are in in contact with each other daily. Lewandowski has endured something of a difficult time with his country of late, missing a series of opportunities in the 2-0 defeat that secured England's qualification for the World Cup, but Szczesny believes he is still one of the continent's top strikers. He said: "I think certainly Lewandowski is one of the best you can find in Europe so he will be dangerous but we played against them before and we've handled him quite well so I hope we can do that again. "Me and Robert are very good friends, we speak on a daily basis and he's excited to come here." Maybe he'll do a back pass to his future employers like Fabregas did that would lead to a goal for us tomorrow night. Besides, Dortmund would much rather seeing him ended up at Arsenal with a fee or losing him out completely next Summer to Bayern. |

Dortmund have already expressed their willingness to let the player go for free next summer and Lewandowski himself has said he wants to stay in Germany. Not much to be encouraged about there. Still, I wouldn't mind seeing the club put together a big-time offer just to test everyone's resolve on the matter. On another note, I wonder how long we will have to endure descriptions of the Ozil acquisition as part of some scam. It really boggles the mind. |

"Shambolic shame?" My Giants didn't win a title for the first 45 years that I supported them, and my Warriors haven't won one since 1975. Each team has had some real dark years, but never have I felt any shame in rocking their colors. Your use of the word "diabolical" goes to the heart of Bergkamp's remarks on the other thread. He rejects the notion that the club lacks ambition, and so do I. The idea that the club has been putting profit well before on-field success is a simple one, far simpler than considering the numerous factors that led to eight trophyless seasons. If you wish to win the hearts and minds of the masses, you need to submit some evidence, or at least some plausible logic, for your criticism of Wenger and the club over the last eight years. Absent that, your point of view is as simply dismissed as it is offered. Edited by JustOneDennisBergkamp, Oct 21 2013, 12:42 PM.

Shall we be uncouth and talk money? Let's. http://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/en/robert-lewandowski/leistungsdaten/spieler_38253_2012.html Which is a little more than the surplus we had in August. However, one is led to believe that there should be sufficient income by January to take us to 40m. However, going the opposite way, if Chelsea want a new leading striker and JM fancies doing a bit of Arsenal spoilage this price would be pushed upwards significantly and possibly price us out of the conversation. |

That was my thought on it. If he Is open to a move to England, we could make a significant bid for Lewandowski but if Chelsea or even Man City want to jump in than I don't see how we're gonna match any over the top bid they throw out. |

How about if I rephrase it? If you don't wish to meet with ridicule and derision from me and others when you post your view of the last eight seasons at The Arsenal, you may wish to point to some specifics to make your case. Pizzy may be a total PIA, but at least he attempts to make his case by analyzing specific situations. Your broad stroked characterizations are silly by comparison, and that's saying a lot. The only person who continues to dismiss my observation about champagne footy on display Saturday is The Piz. If you join him in disagreement, that will cinch my certitude regarding the matter. |

What kind of money should Wenger offer to get this guy? Knowing that fact that he is in the last year of his contract. hmm would 20 million pounds really tempt Dortmund or am i way off? Edited by KamyFC, Oct 21 2013, 10:44 PM.
