Probably this guy: http://www.arsenal.com/academy/players/isaac-hayden and Wilshere? Or do we move promising right back Hector Bellerin inside? He can play there. |

I got up and watched the match, but I let my computer sleep. As you've done as nice job in summary, I'll just add that: As if the legs weren't already going to be a bit tired late in this match after a hard fought game v Dortmund, the sending off will have strained some Arsenal muscles to the max. If the entire second team wasn't already slated for Chelsea in the MM Cup, they should be now. It would have been interesting to see what Palace might have ultimately produced had that silly tackle on Gnabry not occurred. Great awareness by the young man there to cut back into the reckless challenge. The call on Arteta could have gone either red or yellow, but on the road, we should always expect the former. Had Arteta waited an extra second or so with his challenge, another Arsenal defender might have been behind him (though Palace had another attacker storming down the middle as well). Champions win matches where they don't play particularly well and when they have a big call go against them. They'll need to ratchet things back up a couple of notches for Pool though. |

If Wenger rests Giroud, Ozil, Ramsey for the Carling Cup tie and if Flamini is ok, we should get back to our usual level. |

yep. great goal. He lobbed the defender and Valdes. But boy, did Madrid give it a real go. Anchelotti removed Ramos and got Illaramendi and that changed things. Benzema came on and looked impressive. And what a blistering counter attack for the Madrid goal. But It came too late. Great game. Edited by KamyFC, Oct 26 2013, 12:58 PM.
