Did anyone else think he looked quite positive when he came on? From what I saw, he had a good first touch, passed reliably and seemed to have a feel for the team's movement, and varied his motion in the box. Dare I say, we would have been much better off starting him rather than Bendtner? This continues to be the most bizarre signing Arsene Wenger has ever made. |

Anyone would have looked good coming on after Bendtner. Agree wholeheartedly about the strangeness of the signing. Edited by dsch15, Oct 29 2013, 06:06 PM.

With a transfer fee of 3 million quids and 25K weekly wages, the total investment for him for 3 years (pretty sure his contract is done next summer) is $6.9 million quids. Minus the 1 million quids loan wages from Celta Viga and 1 million quids of shirts we sold in Korea. Net investment is $5 million quids. He scored one goal for us against Bolton (a sweet goal I must say) and he won't play again in an Arsenal shirt barring catastrophic injury crisis. That Bolton goal was 5 million quids. |

We whiffed terribly on Park. It happens. No need to count money over the deal. |
