I think Draxler is a great player, but I guess I don't understand the interest. If we buy him, we now have three high quality players competing for that LW spot. Podolski may never see the field again...unless he literally IS the cover for Giroud (which we've seen may not be the answer unless he can reinvent his game a bit). I guess Draxler's age is something to consider, though, as he's quite a bit younger than either of Cazorla or Poldi.
I think Podolski could be sold during the summer.
I hope not. But I can see it happening, as he doesn't quite fit into our system.

As for Draxler, I don't really understand the interest either, but he's only 20. So he could be an eventual replacement for Arteta, Rosicky who are getting on in age.

Maybe Wenger sees him as a central striker like Henry or van Persie.

Or maybe he just thinks Draxler is too good to miss out on.

I want Gnabry and Ox to get their chance but I won't complain if one of the brightest young talents in the world joins us.

gotto forgive chilli 4 sounding crazed bout our situation. on cusp of quiting wilderness for epl title is make atoms go hay wire in anticipation of landing title. i know we can do it if board sanctions bread, negotiators dont drop d ball & wynner continues matchday threads.lol
and rw is right, nobody gonna gift wrap striker as present. we want dat title- we gotto get wot we need & hopefully want. theo out is make situation even more urgent. no excess haggling, no excuses but performance in d market will take us dat closer to title...hope wenger and board keep us in position to build bigger lead in league

It's urgent now. Up to you now Wenger, Stan and Ivan.

Wenger show us the man.

Stan show us the money.

Ivan bring us the man.

We got to overpay no doubt , but it might not be mission impossible.
it may actually come down 2 last line of your post.

Is it worth a Bosman bid on Vidic? Man U haven't been quite the force they used to but he still looks hard as nails.

Batshauyi ? How is this guy ? I don't watch the belgian league. Seems that he can play across the front 3. Mobile, powerful and very young with great resale value . His release clause is 8 million euros !!!

Problematic but we have handled worse characters

There are games like in Totts where we can go for a mobile front 3 , than rely on a limited traditioinal target man. Giroud's place is still relatively safe.

According to Jeremy Wilson of the Telegraph, Arsenal have made "plenty of enquiries" on players, focusing on short-term deals because main targets are not available in this window.

Arsenal fans may be pleased to know that Real Madrid striker Alvaro Morata has said before that his future may lie away away from los Blancos: "Real Madrid have been my team since I was little and will be all my life, but I think the important thing is to have a relevant role in the team," he told Minuto 116 in November. "If I ever feel that's not the case, I would look at other options."

Come on Ozil. Santi and Nacho. Work your magic on him.

Then Poldo and Mert work your magic on Drexler.

Reports today that Real Madrid will allow Morata to leave on loan, and he is also keen on leaving to get some playing time.

And other rumors are that if that doesnt' work out, we'll attempt to sign Jackson martinez outright. Not sure how I feel about that.
