Open Beta is starting on September 1, 2010. That is Wednesday. Just 1 more day left! So here is your chance to check out the game and see if your PC can handle it and if it worth playing this MMORPG.

You first need to register and have a Square - Enix Account. Go to this website:
http://support.na.square-enix.com/main.php?la=1&id=902

Click on the Blue Icon Account Log In then create a New Account.

After you have a Square - Enix account, you can download the client.

- Since the Client is very big. I will not give the link to save Bandwidth, what I do is download first then share with everyone on My Book.

AH CRAP NEVERMIND, THEY HAVE A CRITICAL BUG AND NOW THE OPEN BETA IS PUSH BACK! URGHH!!!!

Yeah that's why it's Beta. You can only transfer and keep the name.

Don't see a point for a beta since judging by the countdown timer the game is only a month away. Who the hell is going to play for a just a month only to get their characters deleted? Now it's pushed back, it's even more pointless.

But you get the name! Cool names are hard to get. Everything is always taken when you play an mmorpg which is kind of annoying.

Ok actually the Open Beta only got push back one day, so Open Beta is on September 1, 2010. It was crazy, so many people trying to access Open Beta page that it got shut down, but I finally manage to get in and keep getting que because so many people.

But it was worth it! The game is so beautiful! The character creation look so real and the weather effect and the battle is just epic! Too bad my Mac Pro can't support the game on max setting, have to turn it down a lot, but the game still look good. I can't imagine if you turn everything on max it look crazy, but you need a 3k computer for that. I'm going to build another Computer if I can manage to sell this stupid Mac Pro!

And the point of Open Beta testing is to see what the game is like if you going to buy and play it or not. It also to get used to the game, then when the real game hit you know exactly what to do instead of wandering around like a noob.

You should NOT sell the Mac Pro! You should give it to one of us to use or just put it downstairs as a family computer, since dad was the one who actually bought everything. You already have way more than enough money to fund for a 3k computer. I could really use it too since I'm tired of this slow laptop and don't want to buy a $2k iMac.

Actually the Mac Pro was broken when he bought it. I have to spend $500 dollar on a Graphic Card. And putting it down stair is useless, it will clog up the room since it a guess room and can't just lay it there like last time. Even dad told me to take it away.

I also need fund to build a new PC, I don't actually have that much. Most of my money is already pay off for Credit Card.

And what about your Mac Book Pro? Why are you still using a slow Laptop when there a superior Mac Book Pro? Don't tell me you sell it too! O_O

Still, he bought both the computer and the monitor so it's mostly his. Compared to the graphics card the computer + monitor is like $5k+. I don't think you should sell it at all, plus right now there is no Mac in the house other than the Mac Pro. :( Give it to one of us so we can play FFXIV with you. :)

I sold the MacBook Pro a long time ago. Why? Because the i5 and i7 MacBook Pros came out and I really wanted something faster cause I was doing lots of video capturing and editing and it wasn't as fast as I wanted it to be. Then later onwards I just thought I'll wait to get an iMac since if I get a MacBook Pro I'll eventually sell it again anyways to get the iMac. I can't really fund two expensive Macs at the same time.

He bought the whole computer with monitor for only $300 because it was stolen. And it's definitely not worth 5k. The Mac Pro have a big dent in the front, it is stratch everywhere. And did you know this is a Generation 2003 Model? Meaning, you can't upgrade the Graphic Card anymore. It's the best Graphic Card this Mac Pro can use right now and it only 512MB GPU Clock.

The monitor have Dead Pixels like crazy. Don't even know why even the original owner wouldn't exchange it. Placing a dark background, it look like a galaxy. It is scratch and burn on the side where the power button are. I think the Mac Pro a lone can only sell for $1,000 - $1,200 the most.

I'm still deciding a Motherboard for a new build PC right now so it will take awhile. So if I decide not to sell, anyone who want this Mac Pro have to pay $500 because I bought it brand new from Apple Website. Final Fantasy XIV will not be for some of you guy though, the gameplay is a bit boring due to the fact there is a lot of talking and questing. I wish they do it like FFXI and up the graphic. But I still play it.

A lot? I only sold two. <_< And I already went through this before dude. I only sell them with only the following conditions:

1.) They are absolutely no longer needed in the house/no one will ever use it EVER (e.g. Computers dumped in the garage which stayed there for years or like the Compaq laptop which is like 10+ years old and slow as shit).
2.) They are broken or nearly broken to the point of being unusable (e.g. Compaq laptop again which power jack, DVD drive, keyboard, battery all broke).
3.) They are sold to replace it with a much better computer (e.g. MacBook -> MacBook Pro). And yes, the laptop ownership will remain the same, that's why I always kept the MacBook Pro downstairs.

Regardless I still don't think the Mac Pro should be sold, even if it was to replace it with a better computer (Custom PC, eww). And now that I think about it, I guess I might have to buy both a MacBook Pro and an iMac, damn! :(

Actually this doesn't count anymore, since you sold the MacBook and get MacBook Pro but you end up selling it anyway so now there is no Mac in this house and absolutely no more Mac Book -_-' . And the ownership don't remain the same, I know if someone use it you wouldn't like it and wouldn't let them, you alway try to keep it neat and I barely see you or anyone use it at all. It really pointless.

And I don't know what so yucky about custom build PC. I admit for Laptop, Apple make the best Laptop in the world but their Desktop is UTTER CRAP and is so overprice and expensive. Come on a 3K Computer can't even run a 3D game properly under medium setting? Plus the thing that drive me crazy with Apple is that they constantly come out with better Mac Pro spec, I don't mind that but come on your old Mac Pro cannot upgrade with their latest line of Graphic Card due to it no compatible? And this is Apple Brand Graphic Card too! It total BS! The only way they doing this is so you buy their Mac Pro every 2 - 3 years. So a Custom build pc for 1.5K will blow the Mac Pro 3k out of the windows and it also free to upgrade anything making it future proof. PC can even run Mac OS X now if you want to, really no point in Mac Desktop anymore, it just for look and I don't even think it look that great anymore either.
