Is there a way to set up a chat option on this wiki? Sometimes there are a lot of new players in the other chat which talk nonsense while not actually breaking the rules. I was just thinking that if there was something wiki related to talk about it might be easier to do it in a separate chat on this external wiki where it is less likely other users who are just in chat for the fun of it stay for long periods of times. Might help move things along more quickly like the chat used to be used for to discuss issues before. It isn't important; just an idea. |

That's feasible, but would have to be added separately, like from Chatango or some other chat service. |

In fact we have an chat on the wiki. It's just horrible to use. I don't think it's an good idea sinds there is not really an good chat system that's usefull in these days. Also we would need mods for this when these Mods beter can spend there time on other things for this wiki. In fact I think it just would result in an add me chat. Sorry don't really like the idea. |

I like the idea. The in-Wiki chat sucks. Our chat mods do a good job, but certainly can't be expected to police the thing 24/7. Also, if there was an external chat, than the Admin team/mods wouldn't be as restricted about kicking people from chat as they are on the Wiki. Liberal usage of /chatkick would be totally okay since it wouldn't be operating under the auspices of Wikia. Besides, it seems like it's mostly just those of us that are serious about the Wiki that have joined this forum. I think, as for the way things stand now, there wouldn't be much need for mods in a chat room connected to this forum. I know I've talked to Bane before how chat is awesome in the chat room when you don't have punk kids or obnoxious brats ruining an otherwise great conversation; that includes Wiki-related and non-Wiki-related conversations. Not to sound cheesy, but times like that have made this feel even more completely like a community. I agree that it's not a top priority, but later on I think it would be great.

It could easily be set up so only members even see it. But yeah, it's feasible, but I kind of have other things to do I: Haha. |

Yes, Bane, it would be immensely helpful...  Tatzel, is there at least a way to set up PMs with multiple users(but not sending the same to more than one person)?

I could set us up with an IRC channel on the arg-irc.net server. the fun part would be linking out to where the mibbit client for people without a proper IRC client would be. |
