I now have a bronze & silver olympus in my first account, and a bronze and an unknown olympus in my second. For the moment, I am giving up on peridot to breed exclusively for these in case they are limited and disappear first. I am glad that I at least have two olympus in each account. It would stink to have a habitat that holds three dragons and only have one in it. This way I can guarantee a full habitat. I would still like to know if they are limited or not. Maybe BFS is not telling because they will be permanent dragons, and they make more money if we think they are limited...

I've managed to acquire a 6th Bronze. My NBC got tied up with a Rainbow, but since this is only my second I'm not going to complain about that one.

Am I better off breeding a pair like sandstorm and sonic which has less failures or a pair like butterfly and moss that have more failures, but some with shorter times? Fed up with the olympus. If they are limited I may run out of time to get anything other than 7 bronze so far. All my gems have gone and bought a few too.
You're better off breeding a pair with shorter failure times. The game first determines whether you got something like Olympus. If you didn't, then it rolls the dice to figure out what failure you got.

It doesn't matter how many failure combos there are--that won't change your chances of getting a rare or limited dragon. What you want to do is minimize the amount of time spent waiting for a failure to clear your breeding cave and nursery. Choosing a combo with shorter failure times will allow you to try again faster, so you'll be able to make more attempts (therefore improving your chances over the same period of time).

Thank you. Once crystals cleared out of cave AND island, will change my breeding pairs.

I have only managed one Olympus Dragon and luckily got Gold. I think I should change my breeding. I have been doing the combination of Air x Quake. I'm thinking about trying the Butterfly x Moss.

I may be the exception to the rule. Used air x quake and now I'm the proud relative of my second gold. Got 3 silver and 5 bronze. Used gems to speed up (maybe 250 to 300 that I had saved. Also got one peridot so now will continue breeding for more peridots without using gems :)

The Sun Stones for the solstice was the first of its kind. That was a pretty huge deal. They were lit for the duration that the Solstice Dragon was available, and for a few special hours around the day of the solstice, they were shooting beams of light into the sky. This was all mentioned specifically in the description of the decoration. The Olympus habitat is the second one to mention this kind of behavior in its description. I expect that we can see more of this type of decoration in the future.

People were excited by and disappointed with the Fireworks cauldron because it came soon after the Sun Stones and people were hoping for a 4th of July animation, but it didn't happen. The description did not mention a special animation within a specific time frame, though. All it says is that the fireworks in the cauldron "are renowned for exploding in colorful displays high up in the air". Whereas the Sun Stones say "twice a year when solstice dragons are near, the Sun Stones light up. Make sure to look to the sky the actual day of the solstice; the Sun Stones briefly beam magic high into the heavens." Since the Olympus habitat explicitly states "every couple of years the large brazier lights up", I think it's safe to say that it will behave like the Sun Stones.
ah, thanks. I only started playing in July, so I missed all of that : ( At least I will probably only have to wait until December, unlike with the Leap Year Dragon...

That's a pity, the animations were really cool. Sorry that you missed out on the LYD. Hey, at least you still have a shot at the Panlong!

You lucky dog! In my first game, I have 2 silver and 2 bronze, waiting for that first Gold. In my 2nd game, I have 2 gold and 2 bronze. If I could just get that Silver dragon then I'd have perfection like you! : )

My second olympus in second account was silver, so I now have a silver and a bronze in both accounts.

Rejoice Folks. The Olympus dragons are a Permanent addition to the game. Confirmed by Backflip on Facebook an hour and a half ago.

Congrats to those who figured it out form the rules.

Oh thank goodness! Hopefully my current "Unknown" will turn out to be a Gold Oly, but if it's not then I'll have nothing to worry about.

Hooray! I am so glad to know for sure. Thanks for clarifying BFS, now to quit working for Olys until I get a Peridot in both accounts. Then back to working for a gold.
