Slipping in just under the deadline wire, the epic tale of Wapa and the Quest for the Goly has reached its stunning conclusion. I have 28 total boly and soly, plus an egg for each. I also sold a few before I started keeping all epics. As you can imagine, I am very excited, which is why I immediately came to share the news with you. Thank you for all your support during this difficult quest. I hope I choose something slightly easier for my next goal. ![]() In case you need to see it to believe it...

Whew! An Epic Quest indeed - will you show us when it's placed in your display? And explain your unique display scheme? |

Thanks magpac, Ruffian, essiw, and Rae. I knew you would be excited to hear the news. And yes Rae, I will post another picture when the egg is actually placed and explain my unique and crazy egg display scheme.

As per request, here is a picture of my Goly egg in its official spot. It is on the bottom center right surrounded by gold tiles to commemorate the successful completion of my epic quest. ![]() As for an explanation of my rather strange display... As you can see, around the edge of my island, I have the 10 elements with their eggs. I liked the look of the same design together rather than the same base color, so that is how I organized mine. To fit all 10 elements, I had to do two rows for each element. Stone paths represent missing eggs, except the three random paths in the middle. That will be explained later. I have displayed the elemental flag with each grouping. When I started playing, fire was the third dragon you could receive and earth the second. However, that has been switched, and I have switched my egg order to reflect the current order. Near the entrance portal at the bottom center, I have placed the permanent epics, separating them by type. Choosing which groups went where was decided by how they fit best. Again, the elemental flags are with the eggs. I have also placed the pepper and forest eggs in this section because they are unique eggs that don't belong with the regular elemental eggs, so they get a special spot of their own. Next, let's move to the top right below the plant and fire section. As you can see, I have the monthly gemstones lined up by month starting with January. Underneath each month's gemstones are all the limited eggs that appear in that month by order of their release. This allows me to see which dragons to expect in a given month. This is also why I had to try for solstice and equinox eggs during BeB because I suddenly needed a second. I find it interesting that we do not have a single January limited other than garnet. Some limiteds do not reappear each year, or can appear at random times, so each of these has their own spot. The anniversary eggs are together near the HC. The three sun/moon limiteds that occur at random times--blue moon, solar, and lunar eclipse--are placed together above the butterfly pavilion. Then the one-time appearance limiteds that are not anniversary dragons are grouped together above that. This group includes panlong, apocalypse, century, and both rifts. Panlong is in this category b/c realistically the game won't be around in 12 years. (The game might be around when leap year comes again, so the LYD is with the regular limiteds.) Now let's talk about the random group of eggs near the fountain and those three stone paths in the middle. These are sections where I keep track of attempts. In this picture, the eggs near the fountain are attempts for love. The three stone paths represent attempts for mirage. The reason that there are paths instead of eggs, is because the first three things I got were things I needed--a second flash, a flash egg, then a wind egg. Each stone path represents 1 missing egg. A brick path represents 5 missing eggs, a marble represents 10, and gold represents 50. I generally keep eggs until the section fills up and then sell the eggs and lay down the tiles to represent them. The exception is when I keep the dragon or need the egg for my regular display. You will also notice that I have the amethyst, love, and jet decorations displayed on the island. When a limited becomes available, I like to place its decoration on my display island. Soon, the jet display will be replaced by the new quarterly gemstone display. The butterfly pavilion and fountain are on the island because they are two of my favorite decorations and I decided to give them a spot on the island. The 2nd anniversary statue is like my egg display's Statue of Liberty, welcoming visitors to the island. In September, if I like the look of the new statue, I will switch. The egg statues flank the portal because they represent the island's purpose. The light and dark decorations are on the island because they are the newest dragons and I had a couple spaces and liked their look. Those might be removed at some point soon since I expect rose and a new Valentine limited to show up shortly. I will likely need those spots for the appropriate decorations. I hope you have enjoyed your look into the mind of wapa. Let me know if you have questions or if something didn't make sense.

Congrats, Wapatango! Do you hold the record for the longest quest? You've really put a lot of thought and attention to detail into your egg display. Impressive! |

I knew you'd have an interesting explanation! Grouping Limiteds by month is certainly revealing and I like the look of eggs grouped by design rather than pedestal. Thanks for the glimpse into the mind of Wapa. |

Thank you for the kind words. I know I like my display, and I am glad others enjoy it too. As for whether mine was the longest quest, I can't say. I have been trying for goly off and on since it was released 1 1/2 years ago. I didn't try non-stop in large part because of those 28 boly and soly letdowns. I would get discouraged and since there were other things I needed, I would take a break. Those breaks were often quite long. Limiteds are always top priority, so I usually use both breeding locations for them until I have my pedestal. There have been many limiteds, and some like rose, celtic, and zombie have proved to be extremely difficult for me. At this time maybe I should share one final chapter of the goly quest that I forgot to mention earlier. Since I was using my dad's abandoned apple account to give out gems, when I went in, I would spend a few minutes collecting coins and throwing something in to breed. At the same time as I started my last attempt at the goly egg, I realized he had no golys. So, I was using similar combos to those in my own park. I got two golys in his park by January 25th. You can imagine how discouraging that was.
