Opal Dragon; Mud + Lava

So on Monday, we will be hitting the halfway point for gemstone dragons! I'm hoping for a pretty awesome dragon, especially excited for what it's egg and design will look like. Any guesses on what the combo will be? Mud seems to be a popular choice in the other thread and I agree completely.

Before everything, there was nothing. And no one complained about it.

May find some clues in this link, references volcanic activity, plasma and trees.
... So... Plasma and Lava???

Meh! At this point I'll take any cues.

And the deco has the word "petrified" in it which most generally refers to wood. Also the invisible dragon for April Fools Day was shown in an Earth habitat with a Tree Dragon, whilst we're stretching for connections.

Along that same line, I've been starting to try Evergreen, Mud/Water, and Sandstorm because of this link

http://books.google.com/books?id=cwbIiSpH8aQC&pg=PA132&lpg=PA132&dq=opal+petrif*&source=bl&ots=KIe-DJzRid&sig=HH2ZdhAfFXhdBJfw1GAqk-mR0Z8&hl=en&sa=X&ei=CvVpUP-MCYmy8AT6woCwBQ&ved=0CBwQ6AEwADgK#v=onepage&q=opal%20petrif*&f=false

Although I don't think Willow should be left out of the tree line of thinking. It has air (level 14) and is blue...ish...

Pollen and Frostfire? - Parents would contribute to most of the colors of the rainbow with Pollen having yellow and green and Frostfire adding in red, blue and orange. It's not much more than a wild guess but I haven't seen it posted here yet and if someone is looking for ideas...

I already tried Willow and Firefly. I guess I could try Willow+Scorch.

I am guessing water + sandstorm, based on some things on the wikipedia page about opal...

Another bit of stretched logic to add to the mix. To be capable of making all colors, you need the primaries: red (fire), blue (water) and yellow (lightning), and then air would give you the invisible. Four elements, so rainbow (all the visible colors) is possible.

Making an assumption that opposites aren't going to be part of it, that rules out Current and Plasma. Fire and Water just make Air, so I am left with a Fire/Lightning (Scorch or Firefly) + Water/Air (Fog or Rain) combination. If Current and Plasma could be parents, then they would breed with Fire/Air (Blazing, if Firework is out because it is limited).

No success so far with this theory, but I have limited gems and can't afford more at present.

I'm just hoping that earth and lightning aren't both in the combo - I couldn't stand another month of Crystals.

Opposite dragons are not used in this mobth's gemstone so plasma, ironwood, frostfire and current can be ruled out.

Water+quake is a combo that I keep seeing. Anyone wanna try this one? (or has tried it?)
