Opal Dragon; Mud + Lava
Topic Started: Sep 26 2012, 11:03 PM (46,326 Views)
DragginDragon

So on Monday, we will be hitting the halfway point for gemstone dragons! I'm hoping for a pretty awesome dragon, especially excited for what it's egg and design will look like. Any guesses on what the combo will be? Mud seems to be a popular choice in the other thread and I agree completely.

Wikipedia= "Opal is an amorphous form of silica...." Silica is sand....any chance sandstorm could be a parent??

If someone has the inclination, based on the description, can you try crystal and ice?

What do you think about Ironwood + Water. The decoration mentions petrified rock. Ironwood = petrified? And water for the water content of opals.

Before everything, there was nothing. And no one complained about it.
I have to go get some administration done at work. I'll try to hurry up and come back to help but for the record, this dragons looks either like poison or evergreen in shape. And level 14 indicates either Air or Water in the mix. Shame cause I would have totally seem Rust as one of the parents as they both share the scaly skin.

I hope not Sandstorm. Since I don't have one. But I had come to the same conclusion. Sandstorm+water.

Wikipedia mentioned that about 3% to 21% of its weight is water, and can be found with a number of other mineral, mostly associated with volcanic areas. Any chances Lava Dragon and a water hybrid? I tried with swamp, but only got Seaweed on the first try.

Most probably not. As mentioned earlier, the dragon is available at lv14, where Metal Dragon is only available at lv17.

Of course. Should have looked that up first. I'll continue to speculate on Sandstorm + Water. Both available at 14. And the Silica+Water content of Opals.

I tried this four times, the only notable thing I got was a Sun... which killed my gems.

Just adding to data - obviously not enough to make a conclusion.

If Opal do connected with the Invisible Dragon, I think it is safe to say that earth is one of the elements needed, since the adv "shows" an invisible dragon in an Earth Habitat. I think its Lava, but there is also possibilities of Moss, which also shown in the fake preview.

I also tried Crystal + Ice and got nothing. I tried Plasma + Firefly also, but not too many times and I didn't get anything, but that doesn't mean anything cause I only was able to try like 10 times.

Something just came across my desk that has to get done right now, so I have to go. So sorry.

Mud & Flower.

I have a feeling BFS is not so foolish as to release a new hybrid in the next couple days that is needed for this month's gemstone. After all, they have many users right now who are very upset b/c of all the limiteds this month. Releasing a new dragon that is a parent for opal would be the proverbial straw that breaks the camels' backs. I believe there are many people who would quit the game if that happened. I'm not saying that any of us on this forum would, but there are many other upset people out there, and if they quit, that could result in a significant loss of income for BFS. I imagine that BFS knows this, and would not make such a foolish business decision.
Agreed, especially when I was in China early September and didn't get hold of the blue moon dragon which will not appear for at least THREE YEARS!!! So upset...
