Dark and Light Dragons; What will come out of the rift?

So I thought that we could use a topic devoted to light/dark speculation, because the "something new" topic has been mostly devoted to the recent rule changes and the magic thread is just magic and not really about what happens when we finish with it.

That being said, the biggest question I have is what these light and dark dragons are going to be.
Are they new classes of basic elements that will be able to breed with the others (plant, earth, etc.) when we get them?
Are they going to be a new class of epics?
Will they be legendary like Karios?
Or some new category all their own?

Which, light or dark, do you want to see first?

it says "across both light and dark designations" so either way it is a written mistake :P
I meant a light rift dragon and a dark rift dragon, like the first one to return with the magic will be different somehow to the ones you will be able to buy in the market.
That actually makes a lot of sense.

It would certainly make me feel better about all the work I'm putting into upgrading my dark and light reward habitats to get rift eggs.

After all if what comes out of the rift eggs is the same as what we'll be able to buy in the market later it sort of takes some of the reward out of getting them.

But if the dark and light rift dragons are the 'mistake' 37 and 38...

Is that true for the rift dragons or just the habitats? If so, it makes it pretty critical for a serious collector to get the final reward of a second egg of each type before this event ends...

The way I read BFS message is that when event is over we can buy all dragons, eggs and decorations in the market. What is different now - if you earn a habitat by casting magic it does not count towards max habitats. That was my thought...

No, they said somewhere that these are special dragons and special habitats or something like that...

This is why I thought that this is the way. It is only my interpretation, no clue whether it is true :)

"Can players buy Light/Dark habitats, decorations, and dragons in the Market?

Players can purchase Light and Dark habitats, decorations, and dragons only when that element has been released AND if they are at the appropriate level.

The habitats earned through the community event will have their own unique appearance than those sold in the market. In addition, habitats earned as rewards will not count towards your park’s maximum habitat limit. "

I think the really neat part about this is that we're going in blind, we don't get to see what the light and dark dragons look like or do beforehand. So we kinda have to make a choice about which one we want to summon first. Then whatever comes out will be a pleasant surprise. I guess a possible downside is that some may fulfill the goal slower than others (I'm probably part of that camp), so there could be "spoilers", but at the same time it's cool to have something to look forward to. I just hope the light and dark stuff are equally awesome!

I'm wondering if your blind choice has a permanent exclusive effect on your park. I hope not, the description said "you choose which one you summon first" so it implies that you can get the other side too. Hmm, if the event dragons are special, though, I guess we have to stick with the choice that we make? I wonder if there's enough time to get "both".

^why would there be spoilers? Because the way I read it, the dragons will be released at the same time for everyone.

Essiw is correct. As a community we decide which dragon is released first. At that time whatever rewards you have earned for that element are yours, and you can no longer earn more. You can still earn rewards for the opposite element until it is released.

So by that logic, we should be feeding both sides equally until we see the meter approaching the end for one - let's say, light. Then, we should make a mad dash to finish our personal light goals before the community finishes their goal.

And then, dark would have additional time for you to go back and finish those goals? That sound about right?

^The way I understand it is that when light would be first, dark still has the time left over that it had before light finished. And indeed making a dash towards the one winning seems to be the right option, though I wonder if there is going to be such big difference.

Huh, that's really confusing. All I see is the personal meter, I guess the community meter isn't visible yet. Is there a site or something that they've explained the event in more detail or are they being intentionally vague so that we can kind of find out for ourselves?
