Hi everyone, I am trying to make a boost calculator - not a simple one that's everywhere, but one that can take an entire list of dragons and tell you what the best boost configuration is for your park. I've already figured out how to process the different possible configurations - there are 1657 reasonable ones (ones that don't include opposite boosts on the same island, there are 4140 if you do allow that), but now I am faced with the daunting task of getting an accurate list of earning rates. Unfortunately, the wiki's lists Dragon Earning Rates and Dragon Reference Chart are not even consistent with each other, and in the very first case I tried (Plant) are both wrong. (Plant's 1-10 are 17,27,38,48,58,69,79,89,99,110). I am aware that Backflip changed a lot of earning rates with release 2.0.0, and that just makes my problem more difficult. I seem to recall a blog post on the wiki that explained the math about how Backflip calculates the earning rates with a formula, but I can't find it anymore. Maybe it wasn't on the wiki. However, failing that, perhaps the best solution would be to get the community to get together to make a fresh list. All thoughts and ideas are appreciated! Of course once I make the boost calculator I will look for a way to share it with the community, perhaps r0b0-tr0n would help me to get the tool added to his site. Thanks! |

Unfortunately you can't use the level 1 baby, because Cotton and Plant are both 17/min at level 1, yet Cotton is 163 at level 15 and plant is only 161. This is the real correct answer, except I can't figure out how to read the gamerules.ptb file. Anyone had any luck with figuring it out? |

Yes you need to backtrack from highest level dragon you have to what L1 rate is. This is because coins per minute is a rounded integer, so 2 coins per minute can really be 1.5 or 2.4, so your estimate could have huge error |

Well I tried to get the information from the config files, I was able to find tick earning rates for about 92 dragons... I wasted a lot of time on it until I realized that Panlong, Paper, Bluefire, Frostfire are all the old numbers. So who knows where this info is being stored now. Sigh |

I figured out how to do it, I now have an accurate list of all the dragon earning rates. I can confirm that the dragons that were majorly affected by the update are: Blue Fire (-47 @ lvl20), Frostfire (-47 @ lvl20), Panlong (-181 @ lvl20), Paper (-79 @lvl20), and Plasma (-57 @lvl20). Obsidian was improved slightly (+6 @lvl20), Cotton was made slightly worse (-6 @lvl20), and Apocalypse, Blue Moon, Lunar Eclipse, Seasonal, Solar Eclipse, and Solstice all dropped by 9 to 11 @lvl10. The changes to every other dragon were mostly insignificant, although nearly every dragon changed at least slightly. |
