I don't know where Watch comes from, but he's cute, as is the baby Root dragon. And the Rift dragons are Hybrids, I bred Dark Rift with Plant and got Meadow. Edited by magpac, Nov 15 2013, 06:23 PM.

I think the Watch dragon is just keeping Watch like one would do at a campfire (fire) during the night (dark). The Dark/Light Rift dragons do not have the same type of border as the regular Opposite Hybrids. They have the same as limited dragons do. |

Yeah I put two dark rifts to breed and got a light dragon. That's annoying. Also annoying that we weren't given a dark rift pedestal like we were for the light. I guess Bfs generosity has it's limits. I think 30 for the jet egg is definitely looking good now. |

All the displayed times are incorrect for the Dark Dragons (well most of them). Apologies for the link a different forum. But the correct times including the savings with the upgraded times can be found at. http://dragonvale-tips.proboards.com/index.cgi?action=display&board=dvboost&thread=313&page=1 |

I'm sure there will be Light/Dark opposites down the track as well. Dusk, dawn, twilight, gloaming are all great names I have seen suggested. For the record, Light and Dark Rift Dragons have been bred and only give regular Light or Dark Dragons as offspring. Seems you need two like Rifts to have a chance of breeding a third. Oh, and for the record, two Light Rift Dragons have not produced a Dark Rift Dragon either. |

It's a left over from the fact they were prepped for Dark to release first. When Light got there they went through and changed all it's info, level, breed times, sell price, habitat caps, etc. They changed the incubate times for dark but forgot the descriptions. They'll get to it soon no doubt. |

I'm glad to hear it. I will reserve my judgements until I see it live in my park. That might take a while, since I have some jets to capture. Of course, at night, I have been using my cave for the new hybrids so that I don't get a really short hybrid that tempts me to stay up late. So, it might not take as long as I think. I am using a rift dragon for breeding so I can work on both elements at once. Sometimes, it pays to be slow.

^ you got that right! I was thinking how nice it must be for you - not to end up duplicating all the Light dragons as I have been

I haven't used my test account in a long time... Here are some numbers confirming post by Fletch: 50 tries dark rift+light rift = 30 dark, 20 light (call it even, I guess) 25 tries dark rift+dark rift = 8 dark rift, 11 light, 6 dark |

I know tests are showing that you can only get Dark and Light dragons from breeding a Dark Rift and a Light Rift, but my husband's first attempt at that combo at the basic breeding cave came back with a 48hrs breed time. I'm assuming he got a Rift of one flavor or another. No one else has seen this yet? o.O |

I did another 30 tests, so that's total of 80 dark light+dark rift - still none. Can you double check if they are still in the cave? Is it possible that he mishit and put two dark rifts? |

Yep, you know me, always try to work on multiple goals at once. I will use the dark rift until I have all the light dragons I need, then I will switch to plain dark to finish up those. My first dark breeding resulted in a fungus, so that is cool. So far, I have been selling the extra embers I've gotten while working on heat. If/when they release shrines, I will decide what to do. I only have space for 25 dragons in my HC. I don't want to sell my extra epics until I have to, just in case they ever do epic shrines. I also don't want to sell my bunches of flowers and poisons, since they came in so handy for this event.
