Might as well start a topic for them

Of note Rift dragons are now Light Rift Dragons and have Dark as a symbol as well. i guess they are they the Light/Dark Hybrids.

Any one get where the name Watch Dragon comes from?

I know tests are showing that you can only get Dark and Light dragons from breeding a Dark Rift and a Light Rift, but my husband's first attempt at that combo at the basic breeding cave came back with a 48hrs breed time. I'm assuming he got a Rift of one flavor or another. No one else has seen this yet? o.O
What level is your husband? If he's less than level 21 (the minimum for Light), then he can breed Light Rift and Dark Rift and get another Rift because that's the only allowable outcome, level-wise. I've already done it twice in my level 16 gem farm parks.

Is that the only way to get a rift from that combo? I only have 1 light rift and a pedestal. I'm wondering how I'm supposed to get another. I got one lvl higher reward for dark rift and received no pedestal, but two dark rifts instead. I don't quite get it.

The egg edifice gave a display egg for the first element released, which was light. You then received the eggs you had earned in each reward habitat. You earned an extra egg for dark and so got two of them.

I am having no luck at all with Cave or Fungus, I have Root and Nightshade coming out my ears :)

I'm done on Dungeon and Watch.

Is it me, or are the Dark dragons really really tiny? I've hatched a Watch and a Nightshade so far, and the Giant habitat just dwarfs them.

The two first darks I got were root and fungus... the two worst-looking darks in my book.
Luckily, I just hatched a dungeon dragon. YAY! :) love it.
Also got a Cave dragon egg in the nursery. Looking forward to that one too.

My first dark hatched this morning, a fungus, and it is indeed tiny as an adult. Like when the Autumn dragon came out and it was gigantic, I expect they will get around to fixing this too.

Also, Large and Giant Dark Habitats are identical. I think they are using the Large image for both. No doubt they will sort these things out shortly.

All the displayed times are incorrect for the Dark Dragons (well most of them). Apologies for the link a different forum. But the correct times including the savings with the upgraded times can be found at.

Thanks for this!

So far I don't care much for the designs of the dark dragons. Fungus is like a toad, Root a rat, and Watch a mix between dog and alligator. Only got these 3 so far.

The dark habitat is so dark that it's hard to see them. And yes they are tiny. Level 11 Watch is the size of baby-rized level 11 light hybrids.

I agree. Some of the Dark dragons are as ugly as some of the Cold dragons. There isn't anything as lovely as Luminous, Light, or Ember in the initial released dragons.

I believe you are correct, I had him dig around and figure out how to take screen shots and everything - LOL - and it turns out he's only level 20. He produced a light rift from that pairing, I'm kind of jealous because I think the light rift is really attractive (I went all dark first, and they look like the chicken-hydra-dragon-thing from the movie Willow...) and I'd like a second one - but not for 3000+ gems!

He didn't even know there was a "light dragon" outside of the rifties until I sat him down and showed him mine (he plays mostly to give me gems and kill time and doesn't look at wikis or forums). Thanks much, mystery solved!

I like the little Watch dragon. Small and sturdy, it's more of a watch dog than a guard dog.

And, maybe because I'm a gardener, I think Root is adorable. Actually, it looks a lot like a potato left too long in the bin - good healthy roots and ready to plant!

I want to put Fungus, Moss and Lichen together in a plant-boosted habitat, with maybe a happy little Flower to tend them :)
