The answer to the question‘How to cure psoriasis?’ is complex as there are a lot of factors that are to be taken into consideration when decided on a cure for psoriasis. It is a debilitating condition and the disease symptoms that are associated with psoriasis include collection of dead skin cells referred to as scales on different parts of the body changing the texture of the skin to extreme dryness with itching on the affected parts. In addition to this, flaking of the skin with reddish lesions or whitish pustules is also seen depending on the type of psoriasis. Even if the tendency to scratch is very prominent it is best to avoid pricking, peeling and scratching the skin and the patient’s clothes must be washed separately. This is not because the disease is contagious but since the skin is very sensitive detergent residues can trigger the symptoms as this is a recurrent disease. Modern medicine aims at testing the symptoms of the disease and Ayurveda aims at eliminating the disease in it entirety from the system. But, this required careful analysis of the disease and its progression and as each case is different from another psoriasis case, care must be given on a personal count and individual treatment plan must be devised. When at home there are certain natural home remedies to ease the symptoms which include applying certain oils to affected areas or aloe vera cream, exposing to mild sunlight for Vitamin D and taking bath in sea water and mental relaxation.
