Any player, regardless of title, rank, or number of posts, is capable of taking an official character. To take an official character means that you are then responsible for playing as that character, meaning that you essentially take on their role in their world. You become that character, complete with any responsibilities they currently have in their home world. In order to apply to become an official character, there are multiple things to keep in mind. While the application for an official character is nearly identical to an original character, the Level, Stats, and RPXP are not to be filled out by the applicant. You don't decide what kind of stats and level the official character has: An admin or moderator must decide that. In addition, your character application must be accepted by TWO members of the staff. You must write out at least three paragraphs explaining the personality of the character, although for official characters, the backstory is not required. You are welcome to add it, but there is no need for it. Instead, you must write out at least three paragraphs of you role-playing that character as an example for the staff and other players. Should your app be accepted, be aware that you only keep that official character as long as you are playing with them. If you leave the site for a week without warning, you WILL lose your official character. There are no exceptions to this rule. If you return and no one else has claimed your character during your absence, you can reclaim the character with no trouble. If you break any of the rules of the site, you will lose your official character, and cannot reclaim them until the warning has worn off. No player may have more than one official character. The official character does not count towards your 5 character limit, but you may only have one official character. You may willingly drop an official character at any time, assuming the character is not in a game, but you may not apply for another one for a week after doing so. If a character is dead, incapacitated, or incapable of adventuring , you cannot apply for them. If a character in a series is killed, incapacitated, or made incapable of adventuring, then that character is instantly removed from any RP they are currently participating in. It is treated as if the character never existed at all. For certain worlds, only certain official characters are playable. The worlds with such rules are located below.
