His blood was seeping out of his body.

He chuckled. This was surely not how he had expected to die in this war. Truly, the misfortune of his Class and landsmen was without measure. Still, he had managed to safe the girl and the fake priest was dead. A small grin was visible on his face. Yes, maybe his life wasn't necessarily wasted. He was sure that his original Master would approve, may her soul find peace among the gods.

It wasn't that he was scared of death or anything. It was just so damned frustrating. He had wanted to fight. He had looked forward to a good battle and now this. He hadn't even gotten the chance to fight against goldie. Damned, that would have been an awesome battle. His red eyes wandered over the walls and he looked at the house that was burning with incredible speed. His skills in runecraft were matched and exceed only by a handful. Creating a fire that can burn a house to ashes was nothing compared to some of the things he had done in life.

It was only his body which refused to die even now. Sometimes, he really disliked his Battle Continuation. Sure, it was great to avoid death and deal that blow to the bastard, but now he had to "Wait" for his own death. How infuriating.

He sighed as his body was finally starting to vanish. The pain wouldn't have been half that bad in a fight, but lying around was not something he liked while hurting. So, almost ten minutes after Tohsaka Rin had left him, Cu Chulainn, Hound of Ulster, Son of Light and Servant Lancer stopped being a participant in the fifth Holy Grail War. His fate was to become food for the wish granting machine of the Heaven's Feel. He would have his soul absorbed by the great darkness inside the grail and that would be end of the story.

Fortunately for him, fate wasn't always so bad, even for the Hound of Ulster.

His mind was already in a state of drowsiness when he noticed a pull taking him away from the direction of the grail. He blinked as he tried to understand what was going on. Then he noticed that he had eyelids to blink and his mind was once again filled with information. It was like that time... oh that could become interesting.

The young man was looking at his work. Everything had been successful. He had really managed to summon something. He wondered what kind of creature he had called. How would it look? Could it talk? Would it even listen to him? The possibilities were endless.

The billowing smoke moved around and he looked at the form of a man, only a few years older then him. Yet, he would never mistake that person for a human. His eyes were like freshly spilled blood and the energy he emitted gave the feeling of someone greater then life.

"Okay, I am your Servant, but don't you go around ordering me to do your shit, understood?"

The words were spoken with a certain feeling of weight. For a moment he wondered if he had accidentally made a contract with the creature. It would explain some things, like the heavy feeling in the air.

"Hey, who are you? I am not going to wait forever and you better get me someone to fight or things could get ugly."

The smile on his face was heavenly. This was what he had searched for, surely god had given him some kind of present. Now, how should he introduce himself? The book had noted that many demons prefer etiquette and polite behaviour, but this one seemed to like talking more... wild? He shifted a bit around, trying to clean up nicely and then opened his mouth to answer.

"Uh, name's Uryū Ryūnosuke. I'm a freelancer. My hobby is murder in general. I like kids and young women. Recently I'm back to sharpening my basis again."

He was sure that this would work out just fine. He was about to ask the demon if he wanted to eat the terrified kid behind him when a small shink sound was heard. Uryū blinked and looked down to his chest. There had been a light feeling of being pushed, but what he saw was not what he expected, though it was unsure what he expected.

A long red stave was touching, no, piercing his chest exactly where his heart was. He was sure of that because he knew human anatomy to the finest points. In fact, he could probably give a number of doctors a run for their money in that area. Actually, wasn't it a spear. It was sticking out of his back, right? A distant part of his mind wondered why he hadn't seen this coming. Hell, he hadn't even noticed the man before him move. Indeed, the summoned had stabbed him in the heart and when his legs began to lose their strength, he looked up.

It was terrifying. Uryū had thought he knew what fear was, but he hadn't understood it until looking at this man. Even tough he was dying, everything in his body told him to flee, to run away from this creature, lest it tear his very soul apart. But he couldn't move and fell helplessly to the ground. Thus, the monster in human form was killed by the hunter with his red spear and the monster didn't even have the chance to enjoy his own death thanks to this horrible fear.

The man stood still for a few seconds, waiting for something, but it never happened. He frowned and his eyes trailed the room until they came upon a child, a boy of no more then six to eight years. His face was full of tears, spilled for himself and his family. The man stepped in the direction of the child and it screamed in its bounds, looking in horror at the new killer. Then, with a motion faster then the human eye, the body was free. The child fell to the ground and scrambled backwards, but there was something in its eyes.

Admiration, Hope and Regret were playing in these golden pupils. There was something in the back of the man's mind that told him that these eyes were important, but he ignored it for now. He had seen the destruction in the room and now there was only one thing to do.

"Hey boy, don't look like that, you summoned me and I killed the bastard, right?" He took the child carefully and held the boy. It was strange for someone like him to act like this, but he had been a father himself. He sighed. "Things are alright now."

The child looked at the man in incomprehension and then something snapped. Tears flew from its face and it grabbed the man with surprising strength. The sobs could be heard through the whole room. They were proof of the horror that the boy had survived.

It took a long while until the boy had calmed down enough to look up at his saviour. The man hadn't moved the slightest bit, but there was a slight tension in his body, almost like he expected danger any moment. With certain trepidation in his voice, the boy asked.

"Who are you?"

The man stood an up. The child hadn't even noticed that he had gone down to his height. His red, inhuman eyes mustered the body and then he smiled.

"I am a hero, you can call me Caster."

Okay, a random idea that wouldn't leave me alone. I am just putting it here for now. Tell me if you like. Also, don't expect me to continue this, or anything else for that matter. I am horrible at making Long stories. Maybe I will make a stat sheet for Caster Cu Chulainn later.
