Just a few rules we'd expect you to follow. x3 Please try to remember this so we can have a good time, yes? Forum Rules: 1. Be polite to the other members - This is pretty simple, isn't it? Just be polite. If you're talking OOC & there's something you don't agree about - do not start an argument and instead - just change the topic, back out from the conversation. Anything to avoid drama between the actual members. If a problem arises - please contact an admin so they can deal with it before any major drama begins. Note: This does not mean there can't be any drama among the characters, just not the actual persons OOC. 2. No impersonating other people/fake accounts - Just thought I'd mention this. I know there's always been trouble with things like this on other forums I've visited, and it's just annoying. If you're pretending to be someone else with another account we will know. So no point in trying, right? 3. Use correct grammar - We understand everyone makes typos and such, but try to use correct grammar. No chatspeak or posts like "hey wats up? do u wanna rp". You're in a roleplaying forum - it would be safe to assume that you care about your writing/grammar at least a bit. If you're not sure about how to spell a word, most browsers have an integrated spellcheck, too. Use it. 4. Try to post in the correct area - The OOC sections are there for a reason. Try to avoid going completely OOC in the RP section. 5. Do not register with the character you're applying for's name - Just to avoid any confusions. When your application is approved, an admin will go & change your username so no need to worry about that. Roleplaying Rules: 1. No Mary Sues or Gary Sues will be accepted - If you fill the form correctly, there will probably not be any Mary Sues/Gary Sues, I think. But if your character turns out to be a Mary Sue, it will not be accepted. You'll be PM'ed and will most likely have the chance to re-write your application if you wish to do so [we hope you will!] 2. No godmodding or powerplaying - God-modding is creating a character who is of an invincible nature and can do anything. Powerplaying means to control the other user's characters. I understand this one can be a little tricky - just try to make sure you're not controlling the other's characters when you type your reply. It can be a bit annoying and makes replying slightly more difficult for the other person. 3. Try to add detail to your posts, no one liners - Try, please? For me? Replying to one liners is awfully difficult and will cause the RP to die easily. Try your best to make your reply as detailed as possible. 4. Don't start more than you can handle - Don't have your character be in like, six threads at a time. That's confusing - last I heard, our characters didn't have any special powers yet. They can't be in so many places at the same time, or can they? This also applies for the amount of characters you can have. For now - the max. amount of characters is two. If an exception can be made and we believe you'll be able to handle more - then we'll see. 5. If leaving, please notify an admin - If you're going on hiatus or leaving the RP, please notify an admin so the necessary arrangements can be made. If we do not hear from you in seven days, someone else may apply for your character. 6. Correctly set up your RP threads - There will most likely be a guide on how to set up the thread for each section. Make sure you read those before you put something up. Also, in the Description box - make sure you type who you are going to RP with, or if it is an Open RP. 7. If there is an RP in progress - don't just jump in - If you would like to post on a roleplay already going on between two persons, just post an OOC message asking them if you can join in. They most likely won't mind - and if they do, they should politely give you a no. Make sure you use brackets like [[ ]], (( )), {{ }} or type "OOC:" when posting your message, as well. 8. High levels of maturity - If your RP contains high levels of maturity, or well, smut [Yes, it's allowed], type your reply in a "Spoiler". Just wrap it in the spoiler tags: [Spoiler*][/Spoiler] Without the *. Just so nobody has to read if they don't want to. Thank you for reading! Any questions, concerns - just shoot me or any other admin a PM! Edited by Matthew Williams, Jan 16 2012, 01:23 PM.
