There was the sound of something moving through the water in the tunnel lit by the glows. The light reflected off the surface of the water as it rippled, the surface disturbed by hooves trudging through. The tunnels were tall enough for the runnerbeast to make its way through with its rider upon its back. A dapple gray mare whom moved along the underground passages as if it was just another trip across the plain that it was so used to before this. That was just the way Cloud Dancer was after all, a calm runner how's personality was suited for this sort of environment. The sort of beast who wouldn't run amuck down the tunnels in fear or anger or... whatever else really. Heleth, however, was currently sulking. The Green was well aware that Cernt has had the runnerbeast's companionship before he had impressed her, but it didn't stop her from sulking anyways. The fact that she was apart of him and that Cloud Dancer wasn't, though both were beloved creatures Cernt cared for, didn't stop her from sulking either. After all, her rider had her now, why did he need to ride some small creature barely comparative to her? Never mind the fact that she can't squeeze into the tunnels. He was currently doing his best to simply ignore her grumbling though, urging Cloud Dancer down a turn as the water got deeper. She complied without much resistance, merely trotting down into the knee deep water. Her ears flicked as he muttered something, stopping on his command and blinking rather blankly at the dark tunnels ahead and behind her. When he didn't give another command, and merely sat there upon her back, staring blankly ahead of them as if looking out for something, the horse bent her head over, sniffing at the wet rocks before nibbling on them. There was a distasteful snort though before she lifted her head again. The rocks might smell okay, but they certainly didn't taste nice at all. |
