There was a mental sigh from the large Gold then as she listened to the Green. Still, it was clear that the Queen was listening and as Sirth finished, Supparith spoke in an almost slow tone, as if carefully picking her words.
I see. That will explain her fear. It seemed that Supparith was close to the Bluerider, for she didn't refer to Lihana has simply Jevenoth's, using her name instead. Do not think to badly for Li. She feels in that way towards everybody she has just met. She grew up in a surrounding where people had tormented her for far too often. The scars upon her body isn't there of her own doing after all. I do hope she had not caused you too much trouble however. Down in the tunnels, she gets even more weary due to the distance between herself and Jevenoth.

Moving away from Sirth, the large Gold was now looking for the others. She found Rhiunth next, the Brown's mind very much different from the one that Jevenoth had. Rhiunth. Everybody is alright down there are they not?
In the tunnels, B'net stood there, watching as Lihana eyed him almost carefully before she shook her head, leaning heavily upon the wall of the tunnel.
"You do not like the Brownrider?" he asked rather bluntly. Lihana gave a little half shrug, "I do not dislike him. I just do not trust him. He has done no good in his impression either." She sighed, running her hand through her hair, "He may mean no harm, but like I've said. They who go out of their way to convince you of that are usually the ones who harm you."

B'net's turn to shrug then as he made his way away from her, "You going back up?"
She shook her head, "Soon."
So instead, she reached mentally for Jevenoth, her Blue responding quickly enough.
You art safe mine. No harm would come upon you, I would not allow it.
It is difficult.
The nights, they have been harsh on you again have they not?
Her silence answered everything and the Blue lifted his head somewhere else in his roost, Come back to me mine heart. We'll weather it out.
And with rather heavy steps, that was just what Lihana did.

Rhiunth felt the contact of Supparith and immdeiately responded, not wishing to anger the gold.
'Yes, queen Supparith.' The brown said quickly. 'Mine is fine and unhurt, though I do believe that he is a bit shaken up. The Lilly-one that he is with now is fine as well, I believe. I can't say about the other two that were down there, but Mine hasn't said anything about anyone down there being hurt.' The dragon checked once again with N'kar to be sure everyone was fine before answering again.
'Yes, everyone is alright.'

Sirth listened carefully to the queens words, she was glad that what she said and how Lilly felt were the same way, she could only tell about Lilly, she wished should could confirm the feelings of the other too, but that wasn’t the way it is on Pern. ‘Do not fear my queen, Lilly mine hold no ill feelings towards Jevenoth’s, I will be sure to forward what you have told me to her so she knows , and I’m sure that Lilly-mine will be completely understanding as well’.

she lifted herself from her led down position she had been in for the morning, and stretched getting herself ready to go meet Lilly, she lefts out of her Weyr and took off into the air taking out of one of the ceiling exits, once outside she made a few circles before returning back into the Weyr and landing herself onto the Weyr bowl

Even though it was still fairly early out and there was barely any light filtering into the bowl at Galvalin Weyr, there was still enough of a difference between that and the darkness of the tunnels. It was in those dim, early morning rays that a large brown dragon lay, waiting impatiently for his rider to come back out of the tunnels. The brown had only been able to stand by, helpless, in the trouble His had gotten into down there not too long ago, and he was none to happy about this. The sooner he was up here again and within reach of the dragon, the sooner he could finally feel comforted again. He was a very protective dragon, but he had always been this way.

It was moments later when N'kar first came into view, along with the girl that he had met down there. Lillium was her name. N'kar paused a moment as his eyes adjusted to the light of the bowl before he continued out. Stopping again, the man turned to make sure Lilly was still with him, and that she had made it out alright. The browneider hadn't said much on their way out. Something about the silence they were walking through had made it seem almost awkward to speak. He was glad to be out of the tunnels, out of the darkness, and out of everything he had just been through now though. Rhiunth was glad as well.

"Well then, I suppose that's that." N'kar said, breaking his silence finally. The rider grinned. He was worn out, but at the same time he was infintely grateful to Lilly for her asking him to leave with her. Now that they were out, he was already feeling so much better. He looked her over a bit then, making sure she was alright. It was a little protective, he thought, but he couldn't help it. It gave him something to focus on for the moment.
"You are alright, aren't you Lilly? I'm terribly sorry if I hurt you at all when I pulled you back with me." He apologized. He only had a moment, however, before the great shape of Rhiunth was upon the both of them.

The brown dragon bounded over with all the enthusiasm of a newly hatched dragon and proceeded to examin every inch of N'kar. His inspection was short lived when he noticed Lillium, though. He looked her over curiously, his excitement fueled both by the safe return of his bonded and the appearance of a new person.

'N'KAR MINE! I am soooooo glad to see you alive and in one piece, unharmed.' The large brown exclaimed. 'I was worried for you. You were in trouble and I could not help.' Rhiunth's voice was full of relief and worry as he danced about the pair. 'And who is this, Mine? This is that Lilly-person you spoke of? She is pretty. I should like to meet her green. Sirth, you said?' Rhiunth fired question after question on N'kar, until finally the rider had to stop him. He was glad Lilly couldn't hear the crazy dragon.

"Yes, Rhiunth, I am fine. I'm glad to see you again as well. This is Lilly." He said, gesturing to her. "And Lilly, this would be my Rhiunth." N'kar stepped up beside her again as Rhiunth looked them both over, hoping to help shield her from the curiousity of Rhiunth.

As Lilly followed N’kar to the Weyr bowl she found herself pondering two things really, first, she had noticed an expression that N’kar had made, that reminded her of her Maggie back home, secondly, he had also helped her, which reminded her of her brother, he always seemed to be there for when she needed him. She also noticed the butterfly stomach feeling was gone, so there was something that felt good, like the time Maggie and she spent together.

She was only a few steps behind the brown rider, she wasn’t a strong person but she was light agile and fit, she felt she had kept up rather well, she also took a moment to gather he self and let her eyes adjust, she caught a glimpse of her green flying around, more or less showing off, as she normally did, and bringing a shake to Lillys head and a light sigh. She looked up to N’kar as he addressed her, a slight ‘hmm?’ coming from her small body, she smiled lightly back at him as he grinned, he seemed a lot more comfortable up here. “Hmm, yes thank you… I am fine… a-and you d-didn’t hurt me at all.” Lilly took a step back as the brown dragon came over to him and was obviously his dragon, she smiled, almost grinning, another one of her loves, was brown dragons, she remembered that he said his dragon was a brown but at that exact moment she was trying not to stutter too badly.

Lilly giggled lightly petting the dragons nose lightly, her eyes almost glowing too, she felt more and more confident and more and more comfortable with N’kar, she knew not all dragons were the same, but, browns, she thought back to her childhood, closing her eyes for a moment, then opening them again, “Riunth, hmm he’s such a handsome brown as well… I … love browns… they mean a lot to me, it is a pleasure to meet you, and if you hang around I’m sure there is a green here somewhere that will want to meet you.” Her sentences this time were more steady then they had been the whole morning, it was almost as if she wasn’t talking to another Human, but two dragons.

“Please N’kar, it’s I who must thank you, you didn’t even hesitate when I fell and you stood between me and a complete stranger, you risked … f-far m-more than I would of expected … from anyone, thank you…” she stood smiling but was distracted by something behind N’kar, “hmm, here comes Sirth”.

The green in her usual show of flare wasn’t going to land like any normal dragon, she was always someone who had to stand out and make herself known, she had flown around the weyr bowl once slowing her speed a little, after which she rolled herself right before landing back winging once extemly forcefully slowing her almost to a stop and finally landing, “show off…” Sirth walked over to her Lilly and nuzzled against her, Lilly returning some of the affection with some gentle pats, “the show off here… is Sirth, now you’ve met her Rhiunth, good luck getting rid of her…” Sirth turned at Lilly and huffed at her though her nostrils, “The gentleman here … he is N’kar, Sirth.”
, I figured my Lilly-mine, I can deduce you know, Lilly rolled her eyes quickly at her dragon. Sirth turned her attention to Rhiunth, bowing to him and then looking to N’kar and doing the same before, speaking ‘Good morning Rhiunth, it has been eventful has it not, please tell yours that I am very grateful for taking care of my Lilly-mine for me, and if there is anything I can do please let me know, I will do what I can, however, I think I probably would have helped before this morning’s … incident, such a handsome brown,

N'kar sighed relief and nodded, obviously glad to hear she was alright. The little greenrider had managed to keep up with him well. He was kind of impressed. Actually, a lot of what she had done impressed the brownrider. In a way, Lilly almost reminded him of himself when he was younger. Not entirely of course, but to a certain degree. He wouldn't mind trying to find a kind of friendship with her, if she would allow it of course. He wasn't about to force his company on poor Lilly if she would rather he leave her alone after this.

"That's good. I was afraid I might have been a little rough down there." He shrugged, a little more comfortable knowing he hadn't hurt her. He was bigger than her, and back there all he had really cared about was not getting stabbed and not letting anyone get hurt if he could help it. It wouldn't have surprised him if he had accidentally been a bit rougher than he had meant to be. Looking back on it, he felt stupid. He did a lot of things wrong, mistakes that, had it not been so early in the morning, he might not have made. He felt responsible for whether or not Lilly got hurt, and thankfully she hadn't. N'kar was about to continue on with his thought, but found himself being interrupted by Rhiunth.

The large brown was delighted by Lilly's patting. Her compliment didn't help that much either. He danced around in a rather comical way, causing N'kar to roll his eyes and laugh. Rhiunth puffed himself up slightly. 'She has good eyes as well, N'kar. I like her, she is kind. I do hope her dragon comes by as well. I would love to meet her.' N'kar shook his head. "He says thanks, in not so few words." The rider laughed, then gave the dragon a loving scratch on the nose. Then his curiousity took over. "You love browns, eh?" He asked, all the while wondering why this might be. It was good to know that she might actually like Rhiunth. It didn't go unnoticed by him that Lilly was seeming more comfortable in her speech as well. He took that as a good sign.

Lilly's thanks were a little much for N'kar. He was a bit embarrassed admittedly, but before he really had a chance to respond his attention was directed behind him as Lilly pointed out a green dragon performing rather acrobatically as she flew in to land. Their reunion was somewhat less dramatic than Rhiunth's crazed jumping. Her size was considerably smaller than Rhiunth's as well, but that was to be expected with their colors. N'kar returned the green's bow. "Pleased to meet you Sirth. You are a fine dragon for a wonderful rider."

Rhiunth's curiousity shifted then to Sirth. He nodded a welcome to her. 'Greetings to you Sirth. It is good to meet you after all that has happened with Ours this morning. Eventful can barely desribe it I'm afraid. I do not like Mine getting into trouble where I can't fit.' With the last part, the strain of his worry showed through, but Rhiunth perked up immediately again as he continued speaking with Sirth. 'Thank you, kind Sirth for the compliment, though you should well know that you are quite the beautiful green yourself.' The brown hummed low, loving this meeting with Lilly and Sirth, despite what had led up to it.
You shameless flirt, what's gotten into you? N'kar laughed at Rhiunth. The dragon only huffed at his rider, apparently distracted from his former concern.

Lilly wasn’t as frail as she seemed, she was brought up in a tough place, of course her personality, and her looks really didn’t show it at all, she wasn’t bother by being roughed up a little, quiet often when she were younger she had hurt herself one way or another and just shrugged it off. In the end, she was just glad to be out of the overcrowded tunnel.

A silent smile was her only reply, she was quiet distracted by the brown at the moment, which didn’t mean she was ignoring N’kar but the immediate entrance of him was a pleasant moment for Lilly. She did chuckled hearing Rhiunth’s thanks from N’kar, she rubbed him one more time, “You’re most welcome, I’m very glad I got to meet you…” She looked to N’kar when he asked her about her love for browns, her face a mixture of smiling and sadness, “yeah, I had an encounter when I was young with a brown, his name was Xenth, and if not for him, I-… probably wouldn’t be here today.” She paused a moment. ’Tell him the rest Lilly-mine’, she turned her gaze back to the brown, “I used to live in a coast town, with my family, one day one of the beams of a boat snapped, it sent debris everywhere, including a barrel at me, I don’t remember the rest, apparently though, Xenth stepped in to help me, they told me he was ok but not without injury. When I woke … they were gone…” she let out a happy sigh, “ever since I have just had this love for … browns.” Lilly could feel a different feeling in her stomach this time, but not a butterfly feeling, this was one of stabbing pain, of something she missed desperately, even though there encounter had been so brief, she had fallen in love with the dragon instantly, it was all she used to think about for the longest time, she had spent a lot of that time isolated from the rest of her village, “ I …I R-really, hope to see … h-him again one day.”

Lilly’s cheeks filled slightly red, if he thought she was wonderful at the moment and he had only met her, what would he think once her really got to know her, but wasn’t this the same way she felt with Maggie as well, maybe there was more of a chance then she first thought to meet someone who she could have the same kind of friendship her and Maggie had, she glanced at N’kar briefly, and then back to Sirth, who in turn nodded to her slightly. “Sh-she also says, th-thank you,” she turned again smiling at N’kar.

Sirth wasn’t going to waste any time with this she wanted to talk with such a pleasing brown soooo badly, she was going to drag this out as long as she could and hopefully he would be just as enthusiastic to talk to her as well. She felt she was off to a good start she thought, getting a compliment from another dragon was always a great feeling for her, ‘Aww, you’re too sweet, and I must agree with you I do not like being away from Mine also, she’s not as frail a flower she was named after, but she doesn’t deal well in stressful situations, that is why I’m so glad yours was there with her, and I have to say, she is quiet surprising me, I haven’t seen her this social since we left our Weyr and her good friend Maggie there… , The green sat down where she was, bringing her tail around to her front and swishing it back and forth like some type of feline, if they could tell, she was enjoying herself, having someone new to talk to was her almost favorite thing to do.

Lilly looked curiously at N’kar as he seemed to laugh for no reason, she cocked her head slightly with a confused look upon her face, then once she saw his dragon huff at him, she figured it was something he had said to him, and in turn made her chuckled, “Hmm, it seems even though our dragons are on… almost opposite ends of the scale, as far as dragons are concerned, they are rather alike … which scares me”, she looked at her dragon worryingly, but then chuckling at her, she moved closer to Rhuinth, wanting to look over him, she knew that Sirth didn’t mind her distraction of other dragons, she only ever did it with a browns, she turned to N’kar after a moment, “Do you… umm… do you think he would let me rub him some more?”she looked up at the brown as he was talking to Sirth, she could only hear half the conversation, Sirth always had this habit of talking to whoever she was talking to and Lilly at the same time. If Rhuinth would let her, she would rub him for the rest of the day and waited to see if he would.

Lilly's smile in turn brought a loving smile for Rhiunth from N'kar as well. He loved nothing more than to hear praise for his dragon. It seemed Rhiunth was good at that kind of thing, too. The brown was the closest family N'kar still had, and whether or not he knew it, he did rely heavily on Rhiunth. It made it that much more personal to him when someone else thought enough of him to say so. Some days when the brownrider would look back on the turns before he impressed, he would still be amazed that this crazy, overly-social dragon had chosen that quiet, loner of a child.

Rhiunth pressed into Lilly's hand as she rubbed him one final time, obviously enjoying the attention. He blinked in acknowledgment of her words rather than making N'kar relay the message again, almost making his rider feel a little out of place in a conversation that he would usually have to be a part of. This was forgotten however when Lilly began speaking again. Her expression was intriguing enough as it was, as she seemed to be happy, yet sad in the same instant. Whatever her reasons were, there must have been quite the story behind it. Thankfully, N'kar wouldn't have to push to hear it. He stood there silently, listening to her tale as she told it.
A brown dragon saved her life... No wonder she's fond of them. I can't say I blame her.

It seemed like she was going to stop after that, but she continued. It was an interesting story, much more so than anything N'kar had to say really. He nodded slowly, letting it sink in a moment before saying anything.
"How lucky Xenth was there. I can't imagine what it must have been like. Though I suppose if you don't remember it..." His thought trailed off, shaking his head in wonder. "I can see why you like brown dragons then." he laughed a bit then. "I knew a brown when I was very young, you know." N'kar began with his own story. It wasn't anywhere near what Lilly's had been, but he felt he owed her what he could offer for being so willing to share her past with him. "He was my father's dragon actually. I grew up in the weyr's back east. My father was a brownrider, like I ended up as well." He laughed at the memories, then sighed.. 'Your father and his dragon were a fine pair, N'kar Mine. I am sure of it.' N'kar nodded. I'm sure he was, Rhiunth, I'm sure he was.
"He died though, when I was young. I barely knew him. I have vague memories of him and his dragon, but not much else, other than what the weyrfolk told me about them." N'kar shrugged, his face displaying a slightly distant smile that showed that he was sad about it, but he had moved past it.

N'kar sat down on the floor of the bowl then, either happening not to notice Lilly's blushing or just pretending not to have seen it. The half-smile spread across his features suggested the latter though he probably wouldn't have admitted that. He nodded to Sirth, in response to the message Lilly gave him.

Rhiunth wasted no time in joining Sirth as she sat. The brown stretched his front legs before laying down beside the green, watching their riders in a half-amused way. 'Thank you much, Sirth. You are a pleasure to talk with already. I am glad Mine was there as well this morning. If not, I might not have had the chance to meet you and Yours.' Rhiunth teased lightly, though he still meant it. 'I am just glad that he was able to help Yours. I am sure she's much stronger than she appears on first impression, but like Yours, Mine isn't much the social kind either. He does not often make friends, though I do push him to do so. I'm glad he's found someone nice that he connects with. It will be good for him, and Yours as well, from the sound of it.' Rhiunth nodded agreement to his own statement. Then resuming his teasing flirting, the brown looked back at Sirth. 'And if Ours should be friends, we will get to talk more often.' There was a laughing playfulness in Rhiunth's voice that reflected his young-at-heart nature.

"It scares you?" N'kar asked curiously. "Why might thatbe? I find it kind of funny. Normally Rhiunth's the one annoying everyone else with his willingness to make friends. Maybe another dragon with a similar personality might keep him from bothering too many others." He nodded then, not needing to think much before answering Lilly's question. "He wouldn't mind a bit. That silly beast loves any attention he can get. You're more than welcome to rub him if you want."

it seemed that N’kar and Lilly were rather more alike than either one really knew, they both were shy and not very social, both bonding extremely social dragons, both with experiences in their childhood with browns, both wondered how on Pern then ended up with such social dragons, fate is a strange thing, it makes you think of what similarities the future would bring.

Lilly thought back again to that day where she had been saved, she really couldn’t remember how she felt, and she really didn’t remember anything till she woke up, so N’kar was right in a sense that he couldn’t of known how it felt for if he could, he wouldn’t remember. She smiled though, the memory of the brown was so much happier than anything that happened in her childhood. Her smile turned to a sad expression hearing about N’kars father, it made her think about her parents and brother, she hadn’t seen them in a long time, and wondered how they were now, especially her brother, she returned her thoughts to N’kar, and the sound of a unhappy ‘oh’ “I’m sorry N’kar,” a bit at loss for words after that, however Sirth had something to say to Rhiunth, ‘I bet he had a handsome brown as well, it would make sense that it ran in the family then’ , again if Sirth could smile she would have more than pleased with herself smug look on her snout, Lilly turned to her dragon, looking at her with slight smile to her, she knew that this brown was going to be a frequent visitor, or she would be seeing him a lot. She could only sigh at her super social dragon; she dubbed it ‘SSDD’ super social dragon disease.

The down side to Lillys blush is it tends to stick around for a while, but she wasn’t so bothered about hiding it, she still didn’t feel butterflies and as long as they didn’t come back she was happy to sit there talking to them.

Sirth was almost like her bonded, she was far more interested in the brown then his rider, she hadn’t really looked away from him since his arrival, she normally didn’t get the pleasure of being around a brown, they were normally far too scarce, and normally chasing after stuck up queens to talk to her, or want to put up with her, she never understood the attraction to the queen anyways. Sirths eyes glowed a happy color, and very brightly, she wasn’t used to the compliments coming at her at such a rate, ‘hmm I’m glad I cannot blush or I might end as a very red bronze or something, but I am also glad ours met this morning, although I still wish it were under better circumstances, however I might change my mind on that because if it were she probably wouldn’t have take yours quiet as quickly as she has. And I find it funny that both ours are anti-social, maybe it’s like that saying, two wrongs, make a right maybe its two anti-socials make a social? You know what I mean Sirth giggling to her own thoughts, ‘and I agree, it will be good for her to have someone she can come and talk with, she doesn’t make friends well, and it will be awesome that I will have someone I can come and make of her too’ . Some more giggling from the green again, she wouldn’t be really mean to Lilly like that but she did like to tease on occasion.

“Yes it scares me”, Lilly looked up to her dragon smiling, “why? Because she is flirting, and she’s not normally like that, it also scares me because she will probably talk either you or Rhiunth into playing ticks on me, or you, or … someone”, she gave a rather quick shake of her head as she finished her sentence, “I’m glad that it looks like we will get along, for I believe you maybe seeing me … I mean us, more often.” She looked away from N’kar and his dragon looking as innocently as she could, trying to make it seem like her dragon was the one that corrected her, in truth though she would be happy to sit and talk with N’kar.

Grinning almost, Lilly nodded in appreciation, as she walked over to Rhiunth, and started to rub anywhere she could reach, “let me know if there is somewhere in particular you like Rhuinth”, she was obviously enjoying this as much as Rhiunth was, and it seemed Sirth and Rhiunth was enjoying talking. Lilly took a second to glance at N’kar smiling to him quickly, she hoped he was also enjoying being down in the bowl with them, for she would hate for him to be putting up with her.

The similarities between the brown and green riders were interesting, to be sure. N'kar might not have noticed so much yet, but Rhiunth deinitely knew. The brown dragon found it highly amusing how clueless his rider seemed to be, and yet how much he saw at the same time. N'kar knew he could get along easily with Lilly, at least asmuch as he had so far. It wasn't a usual thing for him. He had only had two good friends at his old weyr - two candidates his age that had gone on to impress a green and a brown in the same hatching as his Rhiunth. In all honesty, he missed their company sometimes, but he had to admit that leaving that weyr probably hadn't been a bad idea. Going into the tunnels this morning at least had gained him something.

N'kar's smile lingered another moment or so as he thought back to the few memories he still had. He almost hadn't even heard Lilly's comment. He shook himself from his thoughts then, a little blank for a moment but quickly recovering. "Hmm? Oh, no it's ok. It was a long time ago and I wasn't very old. I suppose it's sad, but time has helped. I can't say I don't miss them, of course I still do. I probably always will, but it helps now that I'm older." He shrugged then, still smiling. He raised an eyebrow at Lilly's sigh, but he figured it must have been directed at something Sirth had said. Rhiunth was obviously taking it as a compliment, whatever it was she had said. The brown's eyes whirled calm happiness and a slight pride in both himself but more for his rider as he spoke with Sirth.
'You are very kind, Sirth.' Rhiunth thanked the green.

Rhiunth was enjoying the conversation more so than he had enjoyed a conversation in a long time. Since he and N'kar had come to Galvalin, Rhiunth hadn't had the opportunity to sit and talk with many of the other dragons here. It was terrible, in his mind. Torture, not being able to enjoy time with his fellow dragons. He was more than pleased to have met another that was so eager to talk with him. The brown was completely willing to drag it out, and it seemed, so far at least, that Sirth had a similar mindset. He had noticed her looking at him, though he wasn't quite sure of the reason. He didn't mind at all though. 'It wouldn't look bad.' Rhiunth teased, causing N'kar to look over with a bewildered look on his face. Sometimes he hated only being able to hear half of the conversation. Rhiunth flashed his equivalent of a very toothy, wide grin before continuing. 'I think you're probably right about that, though somehow I get the feeling they would have ended up meeting each other sooner or later. They're far too similar it seems for it to be coincidence that they should end up meeting. I believe I know what you're getting at, and they do seem to be holding up your saying quite well, don't they? I would fully support dragging N'kar to visit with Yours, especially if you should be there as well. He needs it.' Rhiunth sighed then, shooting a side glance back to the riders. 'It is good to see him enhoying himself too.'

"She is, is she?" N'kar laughed at Lilly's explanation. "I'm sure that's Rhiunth's doing. He's being a bit more... flirty himself, than he usually is. It's odd to listen to him go, but he wouldn't listen to my protesting even if I tried it." the rider laughed. "I'm not sure about him, but I'll assure you Sirth won't talk me into anything. And if Rhiunth's going to try something, he'd probably start with me before he'd move onto anyone else." Just what exactly was Rhiunth doing over there? N'kar hoped he wasn't turning out to be a bad influence on Lilly's green. "I'm glad to hear that, though somehow I think they would have forced it on us anyway." N'kar joked. In truth, he was glad they were getting along as well. He was enjoying Lilly's company. He wouldn't object to visiting her again sometime.

The rider laughed at how eager Lilly was to rub Rhiunth. He knew his dragon wouldn't mind at all. In fact, the brown moved around a bit to make it easier for Lilly to reach him, humming a bit in enjoyment while still talking with Sirth. N'kar shook his head at the silly beast. No, it didn't seem like there would be a problem at all for them to spend time together if Lilly got along this well with Rhiunth, though that was mostly on her as Rhiunth usually got along with just about anyone.
'Sirth, Yours is as kind as you are.' Rhiunth said, twisting arounda bit more for Lilly.

Another similarity between the four of them were that both their riders seemed oblivious to the similarities between then riders and dragons, and maybe being social was the reason that the dragons could see it and n’kar and Lilly could not, but even if Sirth was blind she would be able to tell that her Lilly was having a good time, she had only felt this way once before, although not quite as potent, but still the feelings were there, and it there was something else Sirth loved, it was knowing Lilly was happy and comfortable.

Even though he was young it could still be very hard to get over something that dramatic, family, and their dragons hold a big impact on your life, once their gone, it changes forever. Lilly believe N’kar that he had moved on, she had no reason to, but she could just tell, “That’s good, I don’t … really know I could move on so easily, especially if I lost my …” she couldn’t even really bear the thought of losing her brother, he had always been there for her, and would always be there. When she had impressed to Sirth, he came to see her and made her go dancing with him, as she really had no one else to be there with. “sorry”, she forced a smile, there was nothing to be sad about, as nothing had happened to her brother, ‘Lilly-mine, tell them about what you just thought, it was such a great night and you looked beautiful that night’ , she had said it to both Lilly and Rhiunth, not really thinking, “You always think that Sirth…”, Lilly sighed smiling, “I’m really not going to get away from here without explaining am I”, Sirth shook her head to say no so that N’kar knew too. “Well, my brother came to see me when I impressed to Sirth, I really wasn’t planning on going to the … celebration, but … between Sirth, and Maggie, I really didn’t get much choice, i-I, got a nice little dress ... from my parents, which if I have my way… no one … will … see me in… but regardless… I wore it to the celebration. I basically lost Maggie to a crowd of peoples congratulations; she bonded to a queen, so I kind of, hid? I suppose, no one really knew me I … was… a bit of a l-loner” Lilly blushed a little, afraid that N’kar might think something wrong about it, but she still had more to tell. “Anyways, my brother had came in and walked over to me, I was pretty much over taken by joy… I-… I almost ta-tackled him to the ground, after that, he dragged me to go… dancing… he … made me so red it wasn’t funny after, but, n-now that I think about it, I don’t think I’ve had more fun time with him… hmm” she looked to the distance in a very thoughtful look and a rather large blush to her skin. ‘Bah there’s a difference between kindness and truth, I try to be both’. her tail wagging still but more so now, as if it were a gauge of her happiness.

Sirth giggled like some sort of silly school girl, she couldn’t imagine herself any other color but green, and it would probably be better that she wasn’t, typically dragon colors reflected a sort of personality, if she were a different color she would probably be a stuck up snotty queen! ’ Heh you really think so? Hmm I don’t think I’d look good as a red, mind you, my favorite color is green, and not because I’m green either’ , she had never thought of what she would be like as a different color, not really, she enjoyed being a green, very small and agile, she could show off her aerial acrobatics then, she enjoyed chases because she could always get the male she wanted by using her agility to put here exactly where she wanted. ‘hmm I don’t know about that, maybe if we had met at another time they might… never mind you’re right, I think they were fated because of us. I’m really amazed at how well Lilly-mine is doing; you yourself have done a great job at keeping her so calm, I know she likes browns, but she’s even more so calm with you. Sirth took a moment to giggle again, shaking her head slightly ‘ I sense that there is absolutely no selfish reasoning for wanting yours to visit mine’. Sirth nodded in approval it was good to see both riders enjoying themselves.

Oh dear, was Lillys though, when she heard that Rhiunth was flirting back with Sirth, she didn’t mind but hoped secretly, at least she thought she secretly hoped, that Sirth wouldn’t take it seriously. Lilly chuckled slightly at the thought of N’kar protesting, both dragons in her mind would probably double team him. “Oh dear. Well if she convinces him to do something, that affects you in anyway, I apologize now.” A slight blush was still present on Lilly, almost like on a cold winter’s morning, except it wasn’t, she hoped he wasn’t really noticing though. “Yeah, you’re probably right”, Lilly smiled up at N’kar, wait no she didn’t! Curses! Trying to discreetly look away she was still blushed a little.

After a little all round rubbing of Rhiunth, she sat down on the ground, and motioned him to place his head beside her, Lilly laughed lightly, it was almost like petting a feline, she had wondered if he was led on his back and she rubbed his tummy if he would purr. ‘aww your so cute, Rhiunth, I think she found a weak spot , Sirth watched from her position chucking away at the site of the two of them loving on one another.

The similarities just seemed to keep showing up. It was interesting. Rhiunth had never imagined he would have seen someone so much like his rider. It was fascinating how similar the two really were.

N'kar glanced over at Lilly, taking in her expression then thinking a bit. "I don't think I would be able to get over it so quickly if it happened now, but I do have to admit that impressing Rhiunth helped a lot. If you can believe it, I was even less social before that." It was true. Before he had impressed, N'kar had spent most of his time alone somewhere in the weyr where he wouldn't be bothered. Sometimes it seemed a wonder that he had even managed to meet the other two candidates that he had befriended - or had they befriended him? They had both been rather quick to accept him, though he had tried to avoid them for a while. "Sometimes I wonder just what might have happened if he hadn't chosen me. It probably wouldn't have ended well..." He began thinking out loud a bit. 'N'kar Mine, you know I could never have picked anyone other than you. You were mine and I knew it from the moment I hatched. You don't have to dwell on what might have happened if I had not chosen you because I would every time over.' Rhiunth's voice was assuring and reinforced with his own certainty.

What Sirth said to Lilly caught Rhiunth's interest all the more. Lilly had such interesting stories to tell. The dragon was glad that she seemed so willing to tell them. Lilly's comment did the same for N'kar. He sat up a little, waiting for the story that seemed impending, especially after Sirth proded her to tell with a visible shake of her head. Both man and dragon listened intently as Lilly told her tale. N'kar even laughed a bit when she described herself as a loner because he had been the exact same way. He nodded when she finished. "Sounds like you had a pretty good time. I'm sure the dress wasn't that bad though." He said, looking over at Sirth to see the dragon's reaction. The way she talked about the dress, he wondered just what it had looked like. "Your brother sounds like a nice person. How far did he have to go to make it to the celebration?" Rhiunth chuckled mentally at Sirth's modesty. 'Well then, you are doing a fine job at both.'

Rhiunth joined Sirth in her laughter, shrugging a bit, as much as a dragon could. 'I think do so Sirth. But green is indeed a lovely color.' the dragon nodded happily. Her next comment interested him though. 'They might what?' Rhiunth cocked his head to the side in innocent curiousity, then smiled as he continued. 'I appreciate that, but I'm hardly doing a thing. I am very glad Yours is fond of me though. I would hate fors us to be forbidden from visiting on my own account. I do believe I will have to bring N'kar to see Yours soon. I am enjoying this and he is too.' Rhiunth considered moving a bit closer to Sirth then, but decided to wait a bit longer. Lilly had already said it bothered her somewhat and he would hate to get on her bad side now.

N'kar laughed aloud, shaking his head. "No need to apologize for them, I've got ways of making sure Rhiunth doesn't do something he'd... regret." The rider looked over at his dragon with a teasingly sly look on his face. Rhiunth only huffed at his rider again and pretended to ignore him. N'kar was still pretending not to notice Lilly's blushing, and outwardly he thought he was doing a pretty good job of it. Mentally though, Rhiunth was hearing all of it and finding it all very amusing. The brown made no attempt to hide the fact that he was spying on his rider's thoughts either. Instead, he proded his own thoughts of Lilly and Sirth into the man's head, causing N'kar to jump up slightly and look around to see if anyone else had caught him when he realized Rhiunth was paying attention. The dragon laughed at his rider, earning him a scowl from his rider before he turned back to Lilly, grinning.

Rhiunth did as he was directed and placed his head beside Lilly, yet kept his gaze - mostly - on Sirth. 'Yours is very good at this. She is perfectly allowed to keep at it as long as she wishes.' He twisted about a bit more before finally settling and sighed deeply, satisfied. The dragon made no attempt to hide how he was enjoying it. Then he went so far as to reach out with a forepaw and poke Sirth teasingly on the side, grinning in his way as he did so, much to the embarrassment of his rider. "Lilly, I'm terribly sorry for Rhiunth." N'kar apologized. "He's not usually this... embarrassing."

Lilly couldn’t help but disagree there, and she had a sort of reasoning behind it, but she wasn’t going to argue it, it would be silly, she thought that it would be easier being older, you seem to understand it better when your older, when you’re younger, it tends to be very confusing, also having a dragon by your side would make it infinitely easier to handle. “You shouldn’t think like that, what ifs … especially , about the past… aren’t worth worrying about, I’m sure that Rhiunth has or will tell you that… he couldn’t pick anyone else… because, you’re his, and he’s yours.” Suddenly Lilly had found a confidence from somewhere, one that was confident, you wouldn’t believe that Lilly was actually a shy little girl.

She really couldn’t deny that she had a good time, despite being a tomato, for half the evening, the other half she had enjoyed, she had really enjoyed the day after as well, for she had spent it with her brother and Sirth, who was the cutest green dragon EVER! “Hmm, the trip from home to the Weyr was maybe two days, by foot, however, with it being the same day of the hatching, I suspect someone went to get him, probably one of Maggies doings,” she smiled again, thinking about Maggie, it seemed all roads in Pern led to Maggie, her brother or Sirth, odd. Sirth only had one thing to say, ‘ Why thank you’ , a rather happy grinning feeling was being broadcasted at that point.

’hmm I like brown as well, however, there is hardly any green here, kind of makes me sad, compared to where we used to live there were lots of grass, was fun to roll in, although I tend to get in trouble when I did that…’, Sirth laughed, remembering Lilly getting mad at her for rolling in the grass normally right after she cleaned her. ’they were fated to meet, eventually, because of us, we would of met by chance around here, were both social and I mean, a handsome and charming brown is always nice to talk to, so, we would of talked, and assumedly, we would be as we are now, and we would go back to ours and probably make the other go see the other, just so we could talk some more…’, GRIN! So smooth Sirth, long winded buy smooth. ’I meant something else but never mind, and there might be a race to see who gets to come to see who first… ’ she looked around as if she never said that, and then looked at Rhiunth with a, ‘ME!’ look and started to chuckle.

Lilly chuckled, it seemed funny a human threatening a Dragon, there really wasn’t much you could do to make them do what you REALLY wanted them to do except for emotional blackmail , “really, what would you do to make him regret it, I need some ideas for Sirth…” she turned grinning at her dragon, who in turn moved her tail and poked Lilly in the side lightly, after which she giggled a little then turn red, “heh, so …”

Lilly was surprised when she saw N’kar react sort of oddly, again it must have been something his dragon said, both dragons seemed to have a extreme pleasure of picking on their riders, chuckling lightly and wondering what caused him to do that, she could only smile though, watching him as he grinned at her, realizing that they both seemed a lot more comfortable, when alone, and not with others. Suddenly it donned on Lilly, “I know why I feel, dare I say more comfortable around you and your dragon, and you’ll probably think this silly but, I remember that you, were nervously talking when we were in the tunnels, I guess you know how I feel sometimes, and for some reason, someone understanding that makes me feel, comfortable”, she looked around for some reason, her dragon was sat there looking at her with her jaw slightly open, “… I know you know how I feel! Stop that…”, she turned to N’kar again and blinked as if she hadn’t realized what she had done, “Sorry, that w-was r-really s-sudden”, well it was good while it lasted.

Sirth chuckled at the brown, she was right, he had a soft spot, but yet she couldn’t help but think he was so cute rolling around like some canine. Once he had finally settled she shook her head slightly in an approving way. She watched him as he reached out and poked her in the side, and as he poked her she moved her paw to stand on his, not heavily, but enough so that he would have to try and pull it away from her, ’excuse me kind sir, but what are you trying to do’ she said in a playful tone, looking over at him, with a smug look, like she had just caught him flirting with her … wait … never mind she did. Lilly watched as the two dragons played, or she thought they were playing, and then turned to N’kar, “hmm, i-I thought I was the shy one, as long as she doesn’t involve me, it really doesn’t embarrass me, don’t feel embarrassed”, she actually thought it was cute, and she didn’t feel N’kar had to apologize for his dragon, Rhiunth knew what he was doing, it was going to be interesting seeing where this went.

"Mmm, he has." N'kar nodded, confirming Lilly's speculation of Rhiunth's own input into the conversation. "And I suppose you're right. What happened happened and nothing will change that." He smiled over at Rhiunth then, who nodded his head in his rider's direction. "Not that I would ever want it any other way. Even when things go wrong, we still get something from it afterall, don't we? At least, knowledge and experience if nothing else, right?" N'kar stared off into space for a moment as he thought over his own past mistakes and what he got from them all. No, looking back on it, he didn't think he would change a thing.

Lilly's answer made N'kar feel a little stupid then. It only made a lot of sense that someone would have gone to collect her brother, expecially since she had impressed. Then he grinned. "Is this because of her impressing a gold, or was she just normally an influential person?" Thinking back on his own impression, N'kar realized that there hadn't been a gold egg, or even a bronze as it had turned out. There were a few browns though. But then, the gold that had clutched had been fairly young, and the bronze that flew her was barely more than a weyrling himself. He had never really known any queenriders personally.

Rhiunth sat up feigning pride at Sirth's comment on brown. 'Yes, brown is nice as well, though I'm afraid green is usually a little more pleasing to look at. Brown can be harsh.' He looked sideways at Sirth. 'I miss it as well. That, and open sky. I loved to fly. It is kind of sad to be stuck in the rocks all the time.' Rhiunth sighed, but remained cheerful in his conversation. 'I like that thought, though I don't think it matters much now. We are here now, and we are having fun. I think that's most important now.' The brown watched the green as she claimed to be the one that would win. He shook his head in teasing disagreement. 'You can try, dear Sirth, but I think I shall win this one.' Rhiunth twiched his tailtips in amusement at the idea of their little competition, eager to see how it played out.

"Well I could ignore him for one. He couldn't function if I did that." N'kar joked, counting on his fingers the things he would do to keep Rhiunth from trying anything. "It's a bluff, really. Rhiunth doesn't know that though, he just thinks I've got something on him." the rider winked, holding his hand up to shield his mouth from the dragon as he spoke. Rhiunth sniffed hard. 'You lie. I hear your thoughts. You don't have anything on me.' "I do too! You stop intruding!" N'kar cried, hardly able to keep from laughing now.

N'kar was reclined backwards now, propping himself up on his elbows with his eyes half closed and a pleased smile on his face. He sat up a little though, when Lilly began to explain her theory, interested in what she was saying. He looked a little confused though when she apologized. "Why be sorry? You didn't say anything wrong." He said, completely unphased by her theory it seemed. In fact, if anything he was grinning wider than before now. "I think that makes sense. It does seem that we're a lot alike, and if that kind of thing makes you comfortable..." He let his thought trail off, holding up his hands in an encompassing gesture. It seemed the stuttering was back in Lilly's voice again, but Rhiunth seemed to approve of her theory as the dragon nosed her lightly and nodded before returning his attention to Sirth.

Rhiunth knew that he was bigger than Sirth and that if he had really wanted to he could have pulled his own foot free. Instead, he let her hold it there, laughing mentally at her. 'Who, me? I wasn't doing anything. No, nothing at all.' Rhiunth said innocently, looking off in another direction and pretending not to have been doing anything at all. He was still laughing. 'Why on Pern would I be doing anything at all?' Rhiunth was rolling over slowly now as he teased, getting back into a vaguely upright position to allow for more mobility and a quicker escape should the need for one arise, though his leg was still caught beneath hers. The brown began wagging his tail slowly back and forth, getting closer and closer to Sirth each time, but never touching her. His expression was one of pure amusement and a little sly flirting as he played with her.
Meanwhile, N'kar was merely shaking his head at his beast, still embarrassed but glad at least that Lilly didn't seem to mind. Just how far was Rhiunth going to take this? And was Sirth willing to play along with him? N'kar knew Rhiunth would back down if Sirth didn't want to play along with him, but that was the real question, wasn't it? The rider sat there helpless as Rhiunth waited for the green to make her next move.

Nodding in agreement, but considering the experience that she had gained from unfortunate mishaps, she thought that they shaped people more than the more fortunate events that happen to people, as people seem to remember the bad times more than the good. “yeah, we do, I just wish we gained as much from, pleasant experiences, as we did unpleasant.” She watched N’kar staring off, wondering what he was thinking.

Lilly chuckled slightly; Maggie would do a lot for ‘her’ Lilly as she often called her, “you know, I don’t really know, I suspect it WASN’T because she got a gold though, she was a really nice person, she had lots of friends, even riders, so I’m sure one of them would of done that for her.”
’I’m going to get in trouble for this, but what she isn’t telling yours is that she got so jealous when people would take Maggie-hers away from her,, she snickered rather evilly, “SIRTH!”, Lilly yelled, then turned back to N’kar with a ‘oh dear’ look to her face, then staring at the ground, as she blushed up again, “heh, sorry…”

’green is pleasant to look at if it’s a nature thing, some green dragons aren’t so pleasing, I’m so glad I’m a dark green and not a lime colored green, and I think some browns are very pleasant to look at, after all look at a tree, you can’t have brown without green’, with a please smile expression with that statement she was almost certain she bad made a better comment, and now curiosity was turning to see how far the brown would go to beat her. She could only agree with the flying, being the show off she wanted to be was terribly hard in strong winds and the Wery bowl really wasn’t large enough to do a lot, ’ Yeah, I do hope that the winds calm soon, and spring and summer bring less thread and more down time. Yes I’m glad we got to meet sooner rather than later, it’s interesting how time plays itself out. Sirth sat there thinking for a moment at a way she might be able to win this, however anything she came up with he would just be able to do as well, she conceded to him, this time! ’ hmm you are probably right my dear, I think I would have a harder time convincing Lilly-mine to come see you, or yours for that matter, she would be bothered about bothering you both, although I know if she promised what she had been doing it probably would bother you too badly…’

Ignoring your dragon? Was that even possible with Sirth, she would turn into a five year old going, ‘are we there yet’ prompting a ‘Don’t make me turn this dragon around!’ sort of statement, then again Lilly had never tried, she didn’t want to ignore the one thing in Pern that knew her inside out, whether it were playfully or not. As she listened she laughed to some of them, smiling almost grinning to the last, but eventually laughing lightly at his dragon huffing at him, she looked at her dragon, how took a second to look back and lower her head over to her, which she took the time to nuzzle quickly, returning to Rhiunth after.

Lilly wondered what was going to come after comfortable, but at the same time she didn’t want to get more embarrassed, it wasn’t however the kind of embarrassed that you ashamed of, it was more of an embarrassment of admitting to something, which in itself shouldn’t be something to be embarrassed about, but this was the way of the Lilly, however, there was another way to figure out what he was going to say, ’mmm, was he going to say something after that Rhiunth dear? If Lilly mine isn’t interested in knowing, which I know she is, I sure am…’ .

’Uhuh, nothing at all? Reaaally? Then why is this rather, obvious paw here, poking my sides, hmm?!’ this was becoming more entertaining by the minute, she still stood on his paw, again still not enough to hurt but to keep him from just sliding it away easily, ‘ if I recall, earlier you were saying I was ’quiet beautiful’ so that might be one reason, either that or your just extremely playful, so there’s a second reason for you’, smirking slightly at the brown led there as he played. As Rhiunth rolled over Lilly got up and rubbed his head once more, whispering to him “I’m going to move out of the way so you can play, without having to worry about me being in the way,” she walked over towards N’kar setting down pretty close to him, smiling. Sirth watched the tail out the corner of her eye, I see that tail Mr. don’t make me come over there! she had a very playful tone trying to be serious, she was hoping he would keep going so she had a reason to be playful, oh how she was loving this, she couldn’t really do this with Lilly as large dragon plus small human normally doesn’t end well for the human.

"Yeah, I guess you've got a point there." N'kar agreed, speaking slowly. It was only a moment before he managed to pick out an exception to Lilly's statement though. "But we do sometimes, you know? I guess it really depends on the situation. Like impressing." The rider said, gesturing over to the dragons as they had their own back-and-forth between them. "That's a pretty pleasant experience, and we do gain a lot from it. A friend and companion that will stand by us whatever we choose, even sometimes going so far as to push us into things or support us, at least in Rhiunth's case. It's like gaining another half a consciousness. If that doesn't help shape us as riders at least, I don't know what does."

N'kar nodded, smiling in understanding. He knew what a few close rider friends could get one in a weyr, even when one was a candidate. Growing up in the weyr, he had seen it a few times. "So I'm guessing you lived in a hold before you were searched then?" The rider asked, a little curious about her past. It might help explain why they were so similar, if there even was a reason. It could just be that that was just the way they were. Not that N'kar or even Rhiunth were complaining. It was merely curiousity of what made a person like them that fueled it. "And if I had to guess, this 'Maggie' was weyrbred?" That would make sense if she had a few good rider friends.
Rhiunth found more amusement in Sirth's commentary, and the brown laughed, causing his rider to wonder what was being said. 'That is sweet, Sirth. She shouldn't be embarrassed for that, she was her friend afterall.' N'kar looked questioningly at Lilly then as she yelled at her dragon. That was perhaps the downside to dragons: a rider ould only hear a part of the conversation, unless the other's dragon liked them enough to speak to them also. "Sorry for...? Seems like Sirth's the one that should be sorry." N'kar laughed.

Rhiunth loved Sirth's comment. It made a lot of sense. 'Sirth, that is beautiful. You are right to bring up a tree, it is a perfect example of the beauty that green and brown can be together.' The dragon hummed happily as he thought it over a time or two more before continuing. 'I assure you, as soon as the winds should die down enough and the skies should become safer, I shall be one of the first out there.' Rhiunth slightly unfurled his overlong wings a bit at the thought of getting to use them again for what they were made for before folding them in again. He nodded his content agreement with Sirth's next comment then, glad that things had played out as they had so far. 'N'kar Mine might object to bothering the both of you as well. That's why I don't tell him where it is we're going. I am FAR better at hiding things from him than he is at hiding things from me.' Rhiunth nodded with his self approval then.

Reading the look on Lilly's face, N'kar laughed. "It isn't so much completely ignoring them as it is just not responding. I've only done it a few times, but Rhiunth hates it when I do." Rhiunth snorted from his place. 'You've done it once, N'kar, and then I ignored you and you felt bad.'
"Ok, so I did it once, but the point is, you still hated it." N'kar rolled his eyes at Lilly then, laughing at Rhiunth who nudged him hard enough to almost push him over. It was all out of love though.

Rhiunth looked N'kar over a minute before replying to Sirth's question. 'I believe what he was going to say was something like 'If it makes you comfortable, why be sorry?' He is rather confused by why Yours was sorry for saying that, but he doesn't mind it at all'

'No, nothing at all, honestly.' Rhiunth continued looking innocently around the bowl pretending to know nothing about what Sirth was talking about. 'I have no idea what that's doing there, but I swear I wasn't doing a thing. Why would you accuse me of that?' Playfully, the brown tugged his paw beneath hers, though not hard enough to move it. His face fell then, feigning being stuck. 'Yes, I suppose I did, didn't I? I could see how you might think that.' Rhiunth turned to look over at Lilly as she moved, nodding at her as she left. He wouldn't hurt Lilly, but it was probably a better idea if she did move. Not that he would have minded if she had stayed and rubbed him all day, but right now that might have been a little difficult. He continued distracting her with his tail and just when she wasn't expecting it, the dragon reached out and nosed her lightly, withdrawing as quickly as he could to avoid her retaliation. He laughed. 'Whyever would you do that?' he obviously teased now. It was getting harder and harder for the brown dragon to keep from bursting with laughter as he spoke. N'kar watched the two of them, laughing. He hadn't seen Rhiunth act like this in a long time even though he was normally a pretty playful, friendly dragon. He was just glad Lilly didn't seem to mind it.

(im gonna assume from now of that Lilly and N’kar are sat close to each other from where she came to sit with him at the end of the last post… I doubt youll have an issue with HOWEVER… if you do lemme know and ill change it>^.^<~~ also gonna switch paragraphs around so that its riders-dragons or at least try too >^.^<~)

“Hmm you’re right, there are exceptions, its undeniable, I just wish we had more memories that go along side with impressing,” Lilly remembered back to her impressions, where she remember a rather lonesome person, even more then she were, and not because they were shy, but because they were just, anti-social, they never wanted to be near people and just wanted people to leave them alone, he got a green as well, it for some reason made Lilly think easier that he had someone now. Snapping back to the current situation, “heh, got lost in thought there for a moment, but in some cases, gaining a dragon is like gaining a full consciousness, especially if they’re extremely bouncy and hyper.”

“well, no, not really, if you wanted to call it that you could I suppose, it was more of a fishing village, it help supply the Weyr that searched me, it was really nice there, cold, and wet, heh, everyone used to think I was s-so weird, because I enjoyed it so much, I was almost, always outside. Having the ocean right there was great; you saw how I was with water in the tunnels”, she glanced over at him, wondering why she was so easily talking to him, at which point the thought ‘whatever I just enjoy talking with him!’ ran though her head, but it still confused her a bit, and she was fiddling with her thumbs a little. Maggie, how embarrassing she didn’t know! “Well, umm, to be honest, I don’t know? I never asked, place of origin wasn’t, something I generally cared about.”a half smile came across her face, seeming a little disappointed in herself, but she could maybe do better this time, “so, are you from hold then?” she figured he probably was as that’s where most people would ask, not many people live in far off fishing villages.

Lilly ‘oooohed’ at N’kar understand now what he really meant, she had to chuckle once more as it seemed that Rhiunth had protested, “he seems rather, energetic I’m sure that must be hard to keep up for a while. Sirth would probably threat to take me to someone if I ignored her, she enjoys dragging me around … heh … drag …on … heh... I always find that amusing for some reason.” Set fidgeted to pull her knees up to her chest and put her arms around them leaving her head to lie on the top of them looking towards there dragons, watching them play.

Sirth bowed her head,’everyone in a while I have these brilliant moments, don’t expect them too often though ’ she laughed and rumbled slightly with amusement, ‘well if you’re going to be first, I’m going to be the first acrobatically gifted out there, for what I lack I stamina and glide ability I make for in agility and speed, muwha! Hmm maybe I’ll come fly circles around you’ she teased of course, she would much rather either both being flying in aerial maneuvers, or both just gliding. ‘maybe we could just tell them there bothering us because we can’t talk with one another, it might be something to try’, Sirth had a very evil smug look to her, she thought it might work, but really, who knew, she would try it one day she decided.

This time it was Sirths turn to go ‘oooooh’, ’oh that’s easy she’s sorry because she tends to have moments where she isn’t herself, but it’s kind of confusing because that’s her excuse for it, she’s really not this shy little girl, at least not to me, but she has trouble believe people not having a issue with her, or find her odd because of things she does, she’s just extremely shy, you know?

Sirth had a half smile one eye half closed expression that said ‘Oh reeeeally?’, she laughed, ’ why would I accuse you, because there’s this paw right here!, she lifted her paw and nosed at his paw lightly, then put it back down. She nodded to him as he admitted to it, it was almost as if someone had stuck a bright sign that said ‘HE DID IT!’ with a big arrow pointing at him, it was that obvious. She was a little surprised that he had actually come to nose her, she really hadn’t had another dragon be like this with her except for after flight, and that normally didn’t last long, as there were many greens, for it being a normal day she was overly happy that someone was actually taking the time to mess around with her. She blinked at him a for a second, ‘alright that does it! Rar!’ , she jumped onto all fours releasing Rhiunths paw, she didn’t want to bounce on it after all, she waggled her tail in the air looking like some feline ready to jump onto its prey, she figured he would flinch so she waited for that then tried to pounce on the brown lightly. Lilly watch with N’kar from the sides, as she watched her dragon getting ready to pounce on Rhiunth she gasp “Oh dear ,” she brought her hands to her face placing them over her head to hide in her elbows, and mumbled “Maybe she is embarrassing after all……”

"You never know, some people might." N'kar said, still trying to think of other exceptions. None were really as big or influential as impression though. Then a thought struck him. "But wouldn't just about everything that happens to a person help shape them, even just a little?" It seemed like a good enough idea to him. "Maybe it isn't much, but the experiences a person has would probably affect their decisions later, even if it's only a little." Maybe that sounded stupid, now that he thought about it. N'kar shook his head. "Or not. Maybe that's a stupid idea."

"Small fishing village, eh? Sounds nice. I can't say I've ever been someplace like that before." No, N'kar had really only been to the holds that his old weyr had protected, usually to pick someone up or drop someone off. "Weird? For that?" N'kar laughed. "I used to spend a lot of time outside as well. I would sit out there for hours when I could get away with it, just watching nature. That, or sketching dragons. I used to sit out in the bowl and sketch all the dragons I could see, sometimes even making stories for where they were coming from or going to. Tell me that isn't weird." N'kar laughed at himself. That didn't sound strange at all. "That was when I was younger, more of a loner, and before I was N'kar of Rhiunth." Now that he thought about it, he kind of missed sitting in the quiet by the river, drawing dragons. He would have to find time for that again as soon as possible. "Me? Oh, no, I spent my whole life in the weyr. Actually, the same weyr. Until I came here, I had only ever lived in one weyr. I suppose that was kind of a help in deciding to come here." He shrugged. "But you know, I've never really seen the oceans back east." N'kar began thinking out loud then, a realization coming to him. "It was a mountain weyr, far from the coast... I guess I'll have to go see them sometime." He smiled at the thought of the adventure that could possibly tur out to be.

Laughing, N'kar threw his hands upward. "He's always been a handful, whether I was ignoring him or not, but he's not usually as bad as he's being right now, I assure you." He said, mildly amused by his dragon. Rhiunth loved to pick on N'kar. It was something he had grown to doing more and more often the older he got. He smiled at Lilly then. "She'd drag you to someone, would she? And who exactly would she threaten to take you to?"

'Even if they are only once in a while, I think I can learn to cope.' Rhiunth laughed lightly with Sirth. 'Hey, I don't believe you've seen me fly. How do you know I'm not an acrobat in my own right? I may not be as small and agile as you, but I can assure you I know a few tricks. These wings aren't just for decoration, I do know how to use them!' He teased her. It would be fun to fly with her as soon as they could. He would have to be sure to remember to find her as soon as it was safe to fly. 'Oh I like that suggestion. I believe N'kar Mine would be embarrassed by it, no doubt. He would protest, I'm sure, but I know that deep down in the place of things he doesn't want to admit to but I know anyway, he would be glad that I suggested it, if I should ever try such a thing.'

Rhiunth nodded, understanding Sirth's explanation fairly well, he thought. 'She shouldn't be so worried about things like that. She is a lovely girl, and I'm not only saying that because she's more and more like Mine the longer I sit here, or because I rather enjoy the company of her dragon.' Rhiunth chuckled. 'Although both of those things may be very true. I still think she is very nice.'

Rhiunth stuck his tongue out at Sirth, or at least did the draconic equivalent of such an action. 'Yes really. I wouldn't so such a thing!' He flexed his claws, testing out his position in preparation for when she would let him go - if she even did. 'And I have no idea why that's there.' The dragon continued to play around, pretending to be completely clueless even though it was obvious that he knew exactly what he was doing. He smirked at her surprise when he nosed her, finding her reaction bothamusing and somewhat cute. He wondered if she had ever done this before. 'That does - Wha?' Rhiunth almost missed it. He hadn't quite expected her to move so quickly. As fast as he could, he pulled his now-released paw back toward himself and made to roll awkwardly out of the way of her impending attack. Then a thought hit him, and instead he decided to let her get him. He moved slowly, pretending to be struggling to get his feet beneath him fast enough, all the while laughing playfully with an eye on Sirth. The green pounced and caught him, and Rhiunth rolled onto his side, pertially from the impact and partially of his own will. From his new position, the brown reached out and grabbed one of her paws under his own, a laughing, playful excitement in his eyes. 'Well look what I have here.'
N'kar laughed at the dragons. It was hard not to. But he was starting to find it hard to look over at Lilly out of embarrassment caused by the actions of a beast that just wasn't listening to him at the moment. After a few moments he finally faught it off long enough to get a few words in. "Don't feel bad Lilly, they're both doing it, and if it helps at all Rhiunth DID start it."

Lilly chuckled at N’kar for thinking it was ‘stupid’, it wasn’t stupid, it’s more of personal opinion, and even if one thought someone else’s opinion was stupid, it didn’t automatically make it stupid. “It’s not stupid, if that’s what you think then that’s great, I don’t think that minor good experiences don’t shape us in ways, it’s just, the bad ones tend to affect us more, and tend to be the ones we remember with incredible clarity,” such as Xenth she thought, “although, one of my most vivid memories, is that one of Xenth saving me, until I fell unconscious, and that was years ago, but I don’t know if I should qualify that as, good or bad… what you think?”

“yeah, it was nice,” well it was, assuming you liked the cold wet and constant smell of fish, and if you left you smelt like fish for weeks, and the meal of the day every day was, YEP! Fish. Lilly sat there fiddling with the end of her sleeves of her shirt, thinking about it and smiling. “Weird, because, I wouldn’t go be with the other kids there, and I enjoyed being alone, I guess also because I spent a lot of time in the water too, it’s a surprise I don’t look like an old person,” chuckling lightly to herself remember really HOW much time she spent in the water. Lilly interest really perked up when he talked about drawing, “you sketch! I wish I could, I wish I could sketch, and no I don’t think that’s weird, I think it would be a nice way to spend a day, just sitting and watching and drawing, and inventing stories… could … I see your drawings sometime?” Sirth had to stop where she was, and do a double take, she then turned to Rhiunth, ‘I think the end of the world is coming, did you just hear that, Lilly-mine asked yours if she could see his drawings sometime, oooohaha, that means my time getting her to come see yours will be made soooo much easier Sirth jested, but she was honestly so proud at that moment, finally she had gotten Lilly to plan on going back to see someone and they had only been talking for a short while, Sirth was absolutely beaming with happiness and pride. Life as a weyrbred must have been very different to being raised in a hold or a small village, seeing as every day you interact with people and dragons, maybe not directly, but more so then at a hold and a random village. Lilly looked at N’kar for a moment with a little bit of astonishment, “Never! Oh dear I don’t think I could manage without going every once in a while.” A bit of a silly thought popped into Lillys head, “uhh, can you, swin?” she sat there head sat on its side upon her knees looking over at him. “what was the mountains like, I’ve never been to a mountain Weyr?”

Lilly looked over to the dragons playing with one another, she didn’t really see them as being bad, they were just playing, and knowing Sirth and her playful ways, it was going to happen whether they wanted it too or not. “there not being that bad, yet again we have similarities though, both our dragons can be a pain, but, if they weren’t we probably wouldn’t love them so much.” She had to turn away slightly nervously, looking towards the dragons, at the moment the only person she would probably drag them to would he N’kar, but she didn’t want to tell him that, out of embarrassment, “I d-don’t know, anybody, really, it could b-be, Maggie, o-or someone else.” She paused for a moment, and for some reason she just felt the words had to come out, and they were going to whether she liked it or not, “and you…” she turned a little more red, but fortunately it wasn’t that strong, she could probably get away without N’kar noticing.
Sirth giggled slightly as thoughts started to trail into her mind, ‘maybe your wings are for, fanning people on hot days! Or making shade for people who are bathing, on hot days! OR! On those not so hot days, they make good cover from the rain’ Joking playfully. Sat for a moment and thought about other ways they could get them to be in the same place at the same time, ‘or just silly things like, planning ahead and telling them that we want to be at X place at X time because there was something we needed to do? I don’t know if that would work with yours but I think Lilly-mine would go along with it.’

Sirth let out a single ‘heh’ knowing that it was easier to tell Lilly that then to actually get her to believe it however… ‘hmm, well that’s easier said than down, although you made quite an impression on her, as long as we are both with her, which if she’s talking to yours I’m sure we will be, she should be a lot better, I hope that when you find a mate she doesn’t mind Lilly-mine and me’.

Sirth returned the equivalent of tongue sticking, just like two small children fighting between one another, and really Sirth was probably the closer to a child of the two, being only three, ‘I don’t believe you!’ trying to stay playful and serious at the same time. As she pounced the brown she was surprised that it actually worked right away, she lay there kind of sprawled out slightly, confused, and then got knocked back into reality as a paw led upon hers, I believe that is mine kind sir, but if you have JUST my paw as I think I’m winning, with almost half of you, she nosed at his side from where she was, trying to hold him and stop him from getting away, she was sure if he really wanted to he could, he was far more larger then her and a lot more strong then she was, but she was sure going to try and make it difficult for him. Lilly nodded, she would ‘try’ not to be embarrassed by her dragon, and really it wasn’t too bad she was happy at the same time because her dragon finally had someone else to pester instead of her. “Hmm, I don’t feel bad, I just haven’t seen her do this before, I never really knew she was so playful, maybe I affected her with my love of browns as well, and also, even if Rhi did start it, Sirth is continuing it on.” Lilly sat there her head led on her knees still, she sat looking over at N’kar, just thinking about what was going on, and how this day had came to be, suddenly she had to look away because a slight blush came to her, as she thought one thing, and it wasn’t like he could hear her and she knew Sirth wouldn’t tell him, but she still had never really thought something like that before.

Lilly did have a point. "Yeah, I think you're probably right there." It was true, people did seem to have a tendency to linger on the bad things that happened over the course of their lives. Maybe that was why it affected them more it seemed. People often took the good things for granted too. N'kar thought about her story then. "I think when you look back on it, it could be counted as good. Nothing happened to you, and Xenth was ok overall. Besides, if he hadn't been there, you would have been injured a lot worse than you were. If that doesn't make it count as good, I don't know what does." It made sense to N'kar that way at least. It could have ended a lot worse than it did.

N'kar looked sideways at Lilly. He knew what that was like, at least as far as the being alone part was concerned. "There's nothing wrong with that! If there is, I'm just as weird as you are." He said, laughing. "Well, maybe a little less weird because I don't really spend that much extra time in water, but other than that." He chuckled at her commenting about looking like an old person. The rider hadn't expected Lilly to be so interested in his drawings, but he didn't dislike it, that was for sure. "Yeah, I used to all the time. I haven't had much time to sketch lately, but I might still have some older ones lying around my weyr. If you've ever got the time and you happen to be in the mood to stop by, I could show you a few." N'kar rather liked the idea, though for some reason he couldn't figure out, he was a bit embarrassed by the thought of showing off old drawings of his. Still, if Lilly was interested, he supposed it couldn't hurt. "It was nice, just spending days sitting around like that. I kind of miss it sometimes, but that was quite a while ago." the rider sighed.

Rhiunth laughed at Sirth's surprise. 'Gah, it is indeed a surprising thing from what you've said of Yours, but I guess I'll just have to trick Mine into seeing Yours sooner than I had originally planned then.' The brown watched Sirth as she sat there, so proud of her rider. It was sweet, really.
It seemed that Lilly had been surprised by N'kar's admitting he had never been to the oceans. He laughed. "Nope, never. I grew up around rocks and cliffs and freezing lakes of melting ice. The way I saw it, that's just the way things were." Could he swim? Yes, he supposed he could. Probably not like Lilly, but he could definitely swim. He nodded. "I can swim. I don't do it often, but when Rhiunth and I were weyrlings I would swim out into the lake with him all the time. I was terrified to let him go alone until he got bigger." The memory of being dragged into the water by the little brown made him laugh. How Rhiunth had loved to swim! "Living in a mountain weyr was pretty different from a fishing village I'd imagine." N'kar began to explain. "We didn't have the ocean, but there were beautiful waterfalls where the runoff from rains would flow. We had grass and trees, and there were a few steep cliffs around the place too that you had to watch out for. It was kind of difficult traveling too far from the weyr by yourself, too, because of the it being up in the mountains and all..." They had traveled mostly by dragon there, he remembered.

No, Lilly was right. N'kar was glad that Rhiunth was the way he was. Even though he was a handful, he cared about his rider and always seemed to know when something would be good for him. If it hadn't been for the fact that Rhiunth was very social, N'kar would probably be a hermit by now. He nodded. "You're right there. I don't think I could love him quite as much if he was any different than he is now." Rhiunth hummed happily at his rider's statement, though he didn't stop his playing with Sirth. N'kar was a little surprised at first when Lilly said that Sirth would probably drag her to him, but in a way he felt kind of proud of that for some reason. He smiled at her, ignoring her blush, though he thought he had seen something. "Well, she's more than welcome to drag you our way if she wants. I'm sure Rhiunth wouldn't mind a bit, and it wouldn't bother me either."

Rhiunth listened to the extensive list Sirth gave him of possible uses for wings. 'My my, Sirth, you are quite creative. I'm afraid I might blow everyone away if I tried to fan them though.' Rhiunth laughed at the image of him trying to fan a group of people with his wings. 'I suppose they would make good shade though. Rhiunth thought about it a moment. 'Yes, that could work as well I think... If I played it right. Though wouldn't that be kind of like what I suggested before about not telling them where we're going?'

The comment about Rhiunth finding a mate caught the dragon a bit off guard. 'If I should find such a mate, dear Sirth, I should simply not chase her again. Or maybe I will just not participate in flights. Why should I if I'd rather spend time with you? And I doubt Mine would object much. He's usually pretty uncomfortable in that room with the other riders, mostly because he doesn't know half of them.' He said it with a finality, following up with a nod as if sure that this was a perfect solution.

'What is yours? This? Rhiunth nosed Sirth's captive paw playfully. 'But it is such a lovely paw. I should think I want to keep it by me for now.' Rhiunth rolled a bit, trying to knock Sirth free if he could, but he didn't try too hard. He was rather enjoying the green's attempts at holding him hostage. He sighed, much the same way he had when she had caught his paw. 'But consider this. Maybe I'm not looking to win? What if I'm only looking for revenge?' Rhi... Lilly was using his nickname now. It made N'kar laugh a little. It seemed she really did have a thing for browns. He shook his head. "So he's being a bad influence is he?" The rider was joking, of course. "I'm just glad the two of them get along. It's good to see them having a bit of fun." N'kar glanced over at Lilly then, wondering just what she was thinking as she looked away, blushing again.

(changed the green to a darker green >.< youll never notice it though)

Lillly Duh’ed to herself, of course it was a good thing, the vocal wakeup was helpful, she realized another thing with that ‘duh’, for if she hadn’t been saved she probably wouldn’t of fell in love with them, and she probably wouldn’t of gotten even half as far in this pleasant conversation as she had, “yeah, good point, I guess I was being silly there for a moment, that was a very good thing, and it led this … really, because, if I hadn’t fell in love with browns, I probably would have passed out from my weird butterflies in my tummy feeling”.

Lilly chuckled and shook her head at N’kar, she thought she was weirder, but there was more to that then just the water, she was by far a more nervous person, and she had a few rather odd interests, like getting hypnotized by water, and cold weather, not maybe people liked that. “I’m … Surprisingly, ok with admitting that I am ok with being a little weirder, although I wish I could spend more time in water.” Lilly nodded to N’kar, she would really like to see sketches, and it’s something she wishes she could have done, but parchment isn’t easy to come by in a small fishing village, “Ok, I will keep it in mind thank you.” She bowed her head in appreciation of him being so open to letting her look at them. “Life always seemed, better when we were younger, and it’s something we miss.”

’I have to say my dear, I’m quiet interested to see if you will accomplish that, and how you will do it,’ secretly she just wanted to have more time with Rhiunth, but, why tell him that? She wanted to see how long he would wait. “Wow, oceans are, amazing, although there not as nice as fresh water lakes. Mind you, you find some of the most interesting animals from the ocean.” Lilly smiled as N’kar talked about not leaving his dragon, almost like a protective father, “hmm that’s good, I was going to say if you go to the ocean be careful if you aren’t a good swimmer, oceans tend to drag people away.” She would have to make sure if he went to the ocean she could go as well, it would be a nice outing, and that way she could make sure that Rhiunth was safe, and, maybe N’kar as well, she just wasn’t quite willing to admit to wanting to look out for him thought. “The waterfalls… that sounds beautiful, it all sounds really nice, especially because it would be cold too…” Lilly sort of trailed off on her thoughts for a moment, “uurr sorry didn’t mean to get distracted there…” Lilly hung her head in shame a moment.

Lilly really didn’t have much of a reply to N’kars first comment, she could only agree as she did before. However N’kars reply to her saying she would be dragged to him was surprising, most people probably wouldn’t have found it surprising, but first of all Lilly hadn’t even expected to say what she did in the first place, never mind hearing the response. She smiled at him nodding, a rather obvious blush “thanks, i-illll, keep that in-in mind that it won-wont, bother you, I-I’d really, hate to-to be a bother”, she wouldn’t of been stuttering if she had expected it, she might maybe could have secretly hoped that she would get to do that soon, but her mind really wasn’t sure of that.

Sirth snickered at the thought of everyone getting blown away, it was rather amusing to her, she then nodded at the shade , tried to slink under one of his wings looking for shade, not that there was any need for it ‘see they would work good for shade , she looked out from under them nodding agreeing. Nodded again, that was true she supposed, she hadn’t considered that, it was sort of backwards but essentially the same thing, ‘yeah good point, I guess it’s the same thing just backwards.

The returning comment caught Sirth off guard, (talk about unexpected subjects) all of a sudden Sirth got all stuttered, ‘but but but, why would you not! I mean, there are others here that would bebebe so overjoyed to have you as a mate, and some of them are very nice, why would you give them up just so you could talk with me, I mean I’m not really that amazing to talk to or goof around with…, her sentence ran on for a few more seconds before she stopped, looking at the brown a bit stunned at his response, ‘again, a good thing I can’t change color for I would be red now’ she hung her head slightly not in shame, but out of embarrassment.
Yes Dear that be mine, and I suppose if you find it so lovely I might let you keep it for a short while, but I need it back sometime, her eyes glowed with a happiness she hadn’t felt before, being so young she really hadn’t had many males this interested in her, or atleast seemed interested in her, she was almost hesitant to admit that it was happening. Revenge? She figured it was for her stepping on her foot, but why revenge, if this carried on did that mean he was going to flomp over her next? ‘Revenge my dear, so, if I have stepped on yours you will hold onto mine as revenge, so, I have doomed myself by jumping on that soon you will grab the whole of me, if you can? Lilly didn’t really think that either but her statement kind of made it sound that way, “I suppose it’s not really … bad… I’m sure he has some sort of influence on her.” She nodded agreeing seeing her dragon having so much fun.

Lilly had actually blushed because she had realized that her brain had made up its mind that she actually found N’kar rather attractive, but a second thought crossed into her mind, her dragon had never risen before, what if she started now? With it being a new Weyr and new people all of who she barely knew she had no one to go to or anything, it scared her almost as much as actually losing her dragon, “umm, I have to wonder though, if she’s been acting different I wonder If her personality is changing slightly … wh-which.. make we worry … if she … might…” Lilly actually sounded rather scared at the thought of it, but she knew it was going to happen eventually, there really wasn’t anything she could do to make it change, that was the down side to having a female dragon, it was almost guaranteed she would end up with some stranger in bed, after a long pause, she finally squeezed the word from her throat “rise… “, she looked over at N’kar obviously blushing, but oddly smiling with a slight worry to her face as well, her mind running thousands of thoughts of what might happen, and it all suddenly stopped and came back to a similar thought she had had momentarily before, ‘if it were Rhiunth who caught her it wouldn’t be that bad, would it?’

Well that made sense. The last part was a little strange, he had to admit, but if Lilly hadn't had a reason to love brown dragons, chances were that she probably wouldn't have stuck around as long as she had. Afterall, it had seemed, at least in the beginning that she had been more interested in Rhiunth. Lilly probably wouldn't have been all that interested in just talking with N'kar if he had been alone, he realized. "Well I'm glad you didn't pass out Lilly. I would have felt awful if my presence had been that bad a thing!" The rider teased, grinning at Lilly.

"You could always go back into the caves if you want to be in the water, though I wouldn't really recommend going alone down there alone again after what happened this morning." N'kar shrugged. Was he trying to suggest they go back together? Even the rider himself wasn't quite sure there. "Like I said, nothing wrong with being weird. At least, I don't think so. Other people might disagree, but if they don't like it, you probably wouldn't enjoy them much anyway." That was what N'kar had come to find at least. The people that had thought he was strange for being such a loner were usually the ones he didn't much like spending time around anyway. He nodded, perfectly fine with Lilly stopping by sometime for whatever reason she felt like choosing, actually. He sighed then, still remembering his childhood. "It did seem better, didn't it? Simpler, too. But then again, I suppose there are some things that get better with age too."

Rhiunth's face reflected a secret well-kept. 'You'll see when the time comes.' He wasn't going to give away any secrets just yet. Or maybe he was just covering for not actually having a plan. Either was possible, but Rhiunth wouldn't tell. "But oceans are so much bigger. How can that not be better than some little freshwater lake?" N'kar might not have ever seen the ocean, but he knew what it was at least. It was kind of hard not to. He laughed then. "I may be able to swim, but I doubt I'm anywhere near good enough to avoid being swallowed alive by the ocean though." He could just see the tables turned and Rhiunth chasing him down to make sure he didn't drown. "Don't worry about it. It was a beautiful place most of the time. Maybe you could go see it sometime, if Rhiunth and I ever happen to go back one day." From what he knew about Lilly, he figured she would probably enjoy it.

Lilly's response worried N'kar a moment. Had he said that wrong? He hadn't meant to make it sound like she was bothering him, not at all! He shook his head quickly. "No, not at all! Not that I've been bothered by you at all, because that's definitely not what I meant!" N'kar was on the verge of rambling now, but he caught himself before he got quite that far. He smiled at Lilly, a little embarrassed. "Mm, sorry. I just mean that I haven't had such a nice conversation in quite a while." He sounded like such an idiot now. Hopefully she would understand what he meant and not think he was a total moron.

Seeing what Sirth was getting at, Rhiunth gladly opened up one wing and made room for the green as she tried to squeeze herself under one. He laughed, nodding with her. 'Yes, I guess they do make good shade. But what if I should get tired of holding them up for everyone?' At that, he started to let his wing drop until it was laying on top of Sirth. He nodded, agreeing with Sirth's last comment.

Flustered Sirth was rather cute in Rhiunth's opinion. The dragon laughed lightly at her surprise. 'Well then I suppose those others will just have to realize that I won't chase them and find someone else. I enjoy you and Yours, and if it means that I shall have to keep from chasing another dragon, I guess I'll just have to live with it.' Yes, it seemed Rhiunth had made up his mind about it. 'Unless you would prefer I did... But then I would have to ask why.' Rhiunth thought about it a moment, then slowly he reached out and nosed Sirth again.

'Awww, are you sure you'll need it back? Because I would be glad to hold onto it for you.' He teased, frowning. Then pulled her paw in closer to him and layed his head down lightly on it. He laughed then, lightening up on his hold a bit and nodding. 'Yes, well, if I am indeed looking for revenge, then I suppose I would have to grab you at some point, wouldn't I?' The brown looked her over curiously, as if sizing up his options. Taking a moment, he pretended to be trying to decide what to do. He reached out at her suddenly then, attempting to wrap one paw around her and srag her in closer if she didn't get away.

N'kar had a feeling he knew where Lilly was headed with this. He had heard her sound nervous before, but now she sounded outright scared. He listened intently as she struggled through it, trying himself to think up something to he could say to her, maybe encouraging or comforting. The truth was though, he wasn't exactly that fond of flights himself. And sure enough, that was what she was talking about. He struggled a moment, unable to think of anything to say in the silence that followed. He looked at her apologetically, feeling completely stupid for not having anything to say. Lilly continued again though, and for a moment, he felt a little less stupid. Then it was his turn to turn a shade of red. It wasn't that he opposed Rhiunth chasing Sirth, not at all! In fact, he couldn't deny that he had been trying to avoid thoughts like that for the past few minutes, the longer Rhiunth and Sirth rolled around together and the longer he and Lilly talked. Actually, now that he thought about it, he supposed he would actually like it, though he was embarrassed to admit it. He shook his head, caught a bit off guard. "Nno... It-it wouldn't." He couldn't really think of much else to say, really. He knew that greens often chose their mates, and it wasn't entirely unlikely that Sirth would choose Rhiunth if he chased her. He nodded. No, the more he thought about it, the more he actually liked the idea of Rhiunth flying Sirth. He wasn't going to say so just yet though, for fear of scaring Lilly off, even though it had been her thought in the first place.

Lilly Laughed, it wasn’t N’kars fault that she was so nervous, and it wasn’t him that would make her pass out, and in fact he was one of the people she felt slightly more comfortable with. She shook her head smiling from her laughter, “don’t worry N’kar, I think you are one of the people of Pern, I will be ok around,” she smile to him, her smile seeming very accepting, “and your presence, in my opinion is very pleasant.”

Lilly thought about that for a moment, she would like the water but, she was enjoying being semi-alone with N’kar, and if they were to return to the tunnels there might be more Lihanas down there, and that would not be enjoyable at all. “Hmm maybe, another time, I’d rather avoid going anywhere and possibly running into people, especially the grumpy ones.” Lilly thought for a moment, and chuckled to herself, seemingly for no reason but she would explain “sorry, I just remembered, my brother used to tell the people who used to pick at me for being a loner, that 'they laugh at me for being different, he laughs at them for being all the same', he’d them come and comfort me and tell me, that I’m not the weird one, everyone else is.” She laughed again as she always used to smile at the comicalness. Again Lilly nodded in agreement with N’kar, but smirked at herself thinking about things that get better as you get older. “Things that get better as you get older? Hmm, like naps?! Older folks seem to enjoy them more.”

Sirth simple scowled at the unrevealing dragon, patting him softly in retort. “Oceans, are, so full of life, and different things, the fish are colorful, and the plants are pretty, but, it has salt, have you ever got a mouth full of water and salt, it’s not the best experience, also lakes, and ponds, are calm, and peaceful, where oceans are violent, and powerful. I think my favorite thing about lakes is that you can see a reflection if the water is still, also, you can find water lillys!” she giggled, lilies were her favorite plant as well, the actual land flower and the water kind, especially the orange or purple ones. “Hmm, if you go, I would like to tag along, s-so you don’t get e-eaten by the rip currents,” she was surprised that she really was doing as well as she was asking to do things with N’kar, but still her nervousness caught up with her from time to time, she didn’t want him thinking that she was overly interested, although at the same time, she hoped he was. Lilly had never been to the mountains, if she said no she was sure Sirth would say yes, it would probably be easier to say yes, and hope she would enjoy the day, “hmm, I-I’d like that, it would give me a good excuse to pull out my favorite sweater.” It was only a plane red sweater that had been made for her a little while before leaving for Glavalin, but it was comfortable and she loved it dearly.

Lilly blushed slightly again, she was glad he was having a good time talking with, which made her smile, and she wasn’t hiding this blush, it made her think about how fast she was coming to be comfortable with N’kar, and for some reason his rambling made her feel better, just because it made him seem like her, “p-please don’t be sorry, I’m … glad you’re enjoy talking with me, I-, I can’t tell you though, how confused I am really, b-because I normally don’t be-become so comfortable with anyone, for quite a while, and with y-you, it seems I have just fallen into a groove where only once in a while do I feel awkward or nervous…” She smiled blushing still, hoping it would help keep N’kar for becoming nervous.

Sirth giggled as the browns wings came flopping down on her, she hopped up and down a few times in a silly attempt to get them to go back up, she then made a look of a realization they weren’t going back up, she thought for a moment and then had an idea, ‘well if you become tired, and it isn’t too warm outside they can become covers! And keep people warm! … or me, I like that idea too… ‘ she led down letting the browns wings droop over her, sighing quiet happily.

Sirth was rather taken away by the browns response; she wondered why he would not choose to fly another dragon, just so he could talk to her, she raised her head back up looking at the brown, taking a spot beside him again, I don’t, know what to say Rhiunth, you should chase who you want, and be with who you want, and I won’t question your decisions, I’d rather you do that then not do it at all because of me, but like I said, it’s your decision ,dear’ her head dipped slightly again as she thought that she might be holding the brown back for every other dragon, he was, in her opinion, and amazing brown, and worthwhile of any queen, Sirth was modest enough to know that she was nothing compared to a queen, that’s why it confused her so much when Rhiunth said he would not chase, just so he could talk with her, ‘wou … would you … chase me?’ Sirth nosed the brown back, but didn’t pull away, and left her snout against the side of him.

Sirth giggled at the brown again, ‘hmm I will need it some time, for I would be a very odd dragon if I only had three legs, and you would be considered the same as well if you were carrying around a fifth leg, some questions might come up. ,
She stood looking at the brown snuggling onto her leg, sighing happily with an eye roll at him, she found it cute though, and couldn’t help feeling that she was going to have an interesting relationship with Rhiunth. As Rhiunth looked over her she opened up her wings and held them out at full spam, ‘ I warn you Mr Rhiunth, I am a very large and scary dragon, you might not know what you’re getting into… , she tried to say seriously but you could hear the joking in her voice, as it was half filled with giggles and laughter.

Lilly turned a deep red, realizing her thought had actually came out as a sentence, she really hadn’t meant to come out, but somehow, it escaped her throat. She was glad though that N’kar had said that it wouldn’t be bad at least, and she thought about it for a moment and for some reason the sacredness of her voice started to fall away, although she also figured the chances of more than just Rhiunth would chase her, if he did at all, were against her, which still meant that someone else could be there with her, at least if she ended up with N’kar she suspected she would be with someone in a similar state of mind as she was, “s-sorry, I didn’t m-mean, to b-bring up such a silly t-topic,” she tried to smile, but it came out rather nervously, she sat looking at N’kar, “and, s-sorry, I d-didn’t mean to th-think out loud, I d-didn’t mean to make th-this awkwa-rd for you.” Her face turned to a slight sad look, but at least the scared look and sound was pretty much gone. It’s a bit of a shame really, that N’kar couldn’t read minds, he might be happy to know that if anyone, Lilly hoped it would be N’kar and Rhiunth she would have to share the experience with.

N'kar laughed too. "I'm glad to hear that! I'd hate to think I've been here this whole time torturing you when you didn't want to stay." That would have been terrible. There weren't many people that N'kar actually would connect with, and Lilly seemed to be one of those few that actually fit that role. If she had only been staying here talking with him because she was being polite, he would have felt awful. He smiled at her then, glad that wasn't the case. "And if that's the case, then I can say without wondering too much if you'll agree or not that I'm very much enjoying your presence as well."

Nodding, N'kar thought it over for a minute. She was probably right. If they went back, there was always the chance they might meet someone down there, and as they had seen this morning, that wasn't always pleasant. Especially for these two it seemed. Besides, N'kar kind of liked all of this. He wasn't really all that fond of the idea of going someplace else and having it all cut short by unexpected circumstances. He was perfectly fine with sitting here all day, provided Lilly didn't mind. "Yeah, I guess you've got a point there. I can't say I'd really enjoy it much ether." N'kar chewed at his lip a second, thinking. "If you'd like to go back sometime, you could always come find me, or have Sirth give Rhiunth a message for me. I'd be more than glad to go with you." N'kar listened to Lilly laugh, only left wondering for a moment what she was laughing at. He smiled to then, nodding. "Your brother sounds like a very smart person. I might have to meet him someday. He sounds like he knows what he's talking about." Lilly seemed very fond of her brother. It almost made N'kar sad that he didn't have any siblings. That couldn't be helped though, and he supposed he had survived fne without them. "Yes, I suppose naps do get better the older you get." N'kar laughed. Then the rider leaned back and closed his eyes a moment, pretending to snore before opening his eyes and smiling at Lilly.

Rhiunth grinned teasingly in response to Sirth, unphased by her look. N'kar listened to Lilly's description of the ocean versus lakes, laughing. Oceans sounded interesting to him, but he supposed that their being raised in different places might lead to their different opinions. Maybe he wouldn't agree so much once he had actually been in an ocean. "No, I can't say I've ever gotten a mouth full of salt and water before. It doesn't sound very pleasant though..." Lilly's comment about lillies made him laugh though. He had to admit, as long as they had been talking, he hadn't even thought much about the flowers. Now that he thought about it though, lillies were kind of pretty, he supposed. "Are you really that doubtful of my swimming ability?" He teased her, not that he would object in her going with him. In fact, he would prefer it. He laughed then. "Actually, keeping an eye on me probably wouldn't be a bad idea though. I'd love it if you would go with me." He raised an eyebrow at Lilly. "You have a favorite sweater, do you? I'm glad you'd like to go with us though. I'll be sure and let you know next time a visit is in order."

Lilly's answer couldn't have helped N'kar more. It wasn't that he was glad she was confused, but he was glad that she didn't think he was stupid. At least, she didn't say she did out loud. He smiled happily, nodding. "I am. In fact... I can't really say I've had so much fun talking to someone, ever... If that's not completely weird at all." He laughed, a little embarrassed by the things he was saying. He didn't really understand it himself, so he was a little relieved that Lilly was confused. "I'm not really sure either, Lilly." Rhiunth may have known, but if he did he wasn't saying. "Once in a while? Darn... I was kind of hoping for never." The rider joked, trying to make her laugh at least a little.

Rhiunth laughed as Sirth flopped about under his wing, making it move with her. He left it limp still, even after she stopped. 'You, Sirth, amaze me with your ideas. I would never have thought of half of these things. Do they work well as covers? I can't really try it myself.' Rhiunth moved over closer to Sirth then as she settled under his wing. 'I kind of like that idea too.'

'Well, if you say I should chase who I want and be with who I want, why do you object to me not wanting to chase anyone? I assure you that I would like nothing more than to stay out of those flights and spend my time with you.' Rhiunth wondered if Sirth had caught on just yet. With her next question though, he thought she was getting there. He waited a moment, letting the question hang in the air a moment before responding. 'Yes, dear Sirth, I would.' The dragon allowed N'kar to hear this, and though the rider had been thinking much the same thing, it didn't stop him from nearly choking on himself. Rhiunth leaned into Sirth, humming contently.

Rhiunth looked rather diappointed at Sirth's answer, and reluctantly he let her paw go. 'Awwww. I guess you're right. I'll still hold onto it for you if you should wish later.' Playing along, Rhiunth backed up a bit, feigning a look of surprise. 'You are! I had not noticed before what I was getting myself into. But then again... Maybe I don't care.' Rhiunth made to jump onto SIrth much the way she had, but instead reached across her with one paw and held on that way. 'And now, seeing as I have half of you, I think I have my revenge.' He stayed there then, only holding her down lightly so that she could escape if she really wanted to. He wasn't going to hold her hostage or anything. But then, if she chose to stay there, the brown wouldn't really object anyway.

After what Rhiunth had said to Sirth, N'kar really couldn't deny it anymore. He would love it if his dragon caught Lilly's. They were alike enough, and N'kar was starting to think that maybe he was hoping Rhiunth would catch Sirth and he and Lilly would have that. But even though Lilly had seemed to be thinking that same thing, and even the dragons were it seemed, N'kar was still afraid of what might happen if he said it enough to avoid admitting it out loud. He shook he head, looking almost relieved now that he had come to that realization. "No, Lilly, don't say that. That's not silly at all, really." After the shock of it had warn off, N'kar was able to speak a little more freely than before. He looked at Lilly, smiling warmly. "It's not awkward. I suppose I should have seen it coming, really. I'm sorry for seeming so surprised. I hope I don't make it awkward in saying that I would kind of like it if he chased her." He sat there in an awkward silence for a moment then, and with a breath, he moved over a little closer, still grinning at Lilly and hoping he wasn't going too far in doing so.

(two things ... forgive me for the 1785 words... i got carried away ... secondly, i promise to read over it to fix anything on lunch tomorrow ))

Lilly scoffed, “believe me if I didn’t want to be here, id probably would of just ran off… guess I don’t really have to worry about that,” Lilly wasn’t the type of person to sit around if she didn’t want to be there. She smiled at N’kar, after he told her he was enjoying her company as well; she also would of felt bad if he had been staying just to be polite, “thank you N’kar, I’m glad my nervous rambling is interesting to you.” She giggled, she hadn’t laughed like she had with N’kar in a long time, and it always seemed natural.

Lilly was a little surprised by N’kars initial response, she wondered briefly if he was really down there for something other than just a walk, she smiled at him though, “you don’t have to go if you don’t want too, I’m sure it’s quiet safe down there really,” she paused a moment and then spoke rather quietly, “although it probably would be more enjoyable if you went with me,” she staring at her feet momentarily, smiling still, after though she looked over at N’kar smiling as she had been quiet often. Lilly nodded quiet violently, “yeah, he’s a really great person, sometimes I wish I were more like him, he’s everything a big brother should be,” Lilly paused again, almost grinning, she knew that her brother would be overjoyed to meet someone she had befriended, he loved Maggie, so she figured he would really enjoy N’kar as well, “hmm I will take you one day, he’s… a lot more, open, and loud, and very much the opposite of me, I often wonder how we came to be, it seems odd that two completely different children came from the same parents. While we are there, I’ll show you some interesting stuff.” Lilly was really upbeat about this, she loved her home, and her brother so very much, that was something that she would actually really look forward too. “I suppose older people seem to command more respect than younger folks as well, that’s a nice thing about getting old, I guess?” was it really though, just because you were old, people respected your choices, you were ‘wise’ and ‘experienced’ but was that really just reasoning for someone having respect.

“Oceans also tend to be dirtier, it’s not called fresh water for no reason, at least that’s the joke, and salt water, well ill just show you when we go, you’ll end up with a mouth full of water eventually.” Lilly shook her head like she had a cold shiver, and let out a ‘bleh!’ and tried to shake it off, it was the only thing she really hated about the oceans. Lilly laughed along with N’kar, “no I don’t, doubt you can swim, but rip currents are a force that can drag boats out to ocean, basically it can happen anywhere there are waves, so, almost all coast lines, as water is pushed into the coast, it obviously needs somewhere to go, and if you notice when waves come in the sort of collide together in a V shape eventually, well, at some point all that water needs to be sucked back out, and it normally is either an undercurrent or in a specific area of a beach, this is where a rip current is, there not visible though, and they have the enough force to drag a boat out to sea. They are an amazing force, and I would feel better going with you, can’t have you losing Rhiunth now can I?
” Lilly chuckled lightly, she didn’t want to lose either of them but again hiding her feelings from N’kar she used his dragon as an excuse. “Yeah, I have this really nice sweater, its red, and it’s really large, if you couldn’t tell I like baggy clothing”, she held up her arms, she was wearing a nice dark blue sweater that seemed to fit, almost, but it seemed like it was sized for someone who was about two hundred pounds heavier, she didn't care though she loved it, “my mum made if for me. You’ll see it on me before long”
Lilly smiled (AGAIN!), brushing a stray hair that had escaped her ear back behind it, that was something that she never had heard from Maggie, mind you Maggie was more social then her dragon, something about him telling her that she was the most fun he had had talking with someone ever made her feel so good, a warm fuzzy feeling crept though her body, she couldn't do anything BUT smile now, it made her shudder slightly, and causing her to look curious, “I’m … glad I could be someone fun for you to talk to, and no its not weird, I don’t find it that surprising, seeing as I’ve only really had two friends my whole life, and that’s not including my brother, he counts as family, so if it’s weird, then I too, am weird.” Pretty happy with her statement, she nodded at him reconfirming her belief in what she said. It probably wouldn’t take much for N’kar to make Lilly laugh, she did let out a quiet chuckle, “I’m s-sorry, that will come with time, the more time I’m around you, the easier it’ll be for my mind to stay where I want it to and not falling all over that grove.” She paused but jumped back in before he could say what she knew he was ABOUT to say, “And don’t tell me not to be sorry,” she glared at him with a smile.

Sirth set down laying there, laying her head out in front of her sighing happily as she was covered by his wing, she thought for a moment of anything else that she could use the wings as but eventually just gave up, she had came up with the best idea for them in her opinion, ’I think out of all my ideas though, this one is by far my favorite one, and yes dear, they work very well, ’ she sighed happily again, she kind of hoped that they could sit there for a very long time and not have to do anything. ’I’m glad you like the idea, or I would of just pouted at you till you did, ’the green let of a small snicker to Rhiunth.

It was true, when something good was happening to Sirth it took her a moment to catch on, and she could be unbearably slow at times, but, this was different, she just felt overwhelmed by the fact that a brown, had wanted to be with her, and one of the nicest and amazing ones at that, she led there for a moment as he hummed against her, she was still rather dumbfounded by her off chance meeting, and he really had no idea what to do or say, for the first time in her short life, she was utterly and completely, lost, (HAH THE SHOWS OVER!(sorry)) ’Rhiunth, I, don’t, I, gah! Curse it im so lost its not even funny, I don’t know, I mean, I know what I’m feeling but it’s so foreign to me that I don’t know what to do … and all I, all I want, I, ’, see it right here folks! A green that can’t form a sentence! She really couldn’t figure out what her mind was telling her, she just knew two things, it felt good, and she didn’t want it to go away, ’don’t go anywhere, please.’ after some silence that’s the most manage to get her mind to cement together into a sentence, Sirth then led her head down in front of Rhiunth, her eyes closed, leaning slight back against Rhiunth.

Srith laughed at Rhiunth, ’maybe later dear for now I need it thought,’ she left out an ‘aww’ as well as he backed off. After witnessing his feign at being scared, at what she could guess he was doing, she rolled her eyes at him and chuckled lightly, she let him tackle her without resistance, and laid then flopping a wing down on him and laughing as she enjoyed playing their silly game, ’darn, I guess you do, so, seeing as you have half of me, what do you intend to do with it?!’ she squirmed a little but nothing even close to serious of her trying to escape his grasp, why would she want to do that, she was way too happy being there with him.

Lilly look at N’kar wide eyed as he choked, “uh, a-are you o-ok N’kar?” Lilly was actually surprised that he didn’t think it was silly, or even sudden, though she didn’t say sudden; it brought that smile back again. She nodded in reply to him. After he finished his sentence, she blushed up rather fiery, but she sat there smiling at him and not moving at all, she wasn’t really sure what she was thinking at that point, but it didn’t really seem to matter, it all just collected in a way water collects at the bottom of a tub and flows out, “Despite what my face says, I don’t feel awkward, but, admitting anything is really hard, but let me see if I can’t get … my brain to work with me for a moment,” she sighed and took a deep breath, paused holding her breath for a moment and then breathed again, “I, feel… the same…” that was a lot easier then she expected, maybe seeing she was on a roll she could try for more, “that is, I think, if Rhiunth chased Sirth, and he caught her, I think I might be ok with that,” she smiled again, glad that she had managed to get that out, and all of a sudden the thought of Maggie popped into her head and how proud she would be of her. She held her smile as N’kar moved closer, and with the thoughts of Maggie and how proud she would be, she swore she heard her talk to her, she mentally nodded to herself, she got up and moved over to N’kar and set down beside him again, smiling, she figured, he was probably feeling a little awkward, she thought it would be better if she moved to him, that way he wasn’t second guessing her. After she sat down she nodded to him, smiling, “I think my dragon is bad influence on me …” N’kar would have to figure that one out but if he were to look over there he would probably figure out what she meant.

((btw I’m assuming that N’kar was shuffling along the ground and was actually sat down before he moved.))
